There is also a Biergarten serving beers/wines from the different countries. In the back of the expo there were tents set up with merchandise for purchase. I hope in the years to come they continue expanding and more countries are represented. You can definitely get a taste of a few ethnicities. It's usually located behind the Columbus city hall so you will have to find a spot in the free parking downtown and walk.

About 35 food vendors are on site from all sorts of different countries, ethnicity, etc. serving anywhere from 3 - 4 items to a dozen items of amazingly terrific food. There's something for everyone (including a tent dedicated to nothing but desserts. It's something to behold). Each year a different country / ethnicity will host the event. In 2019 India will host and will have featured entertainers (as well as the 1st booth you come to as you head south from downtown Columbus). Speaking of entertainment, it's non-stop on 3 different stages including one inside the biergarten. Many of the booths are sponsored by non-profits who summon volunteers to help with the effort. Always great to see money going to good causes. Additionally, there's southern Indiana's coolest parade at 11 am on Sat. as well as about a dozen non-food vendors. They top it off with fireworks Saturday evening. Just loads of fun. North of the Historic District in Seymour, a multi-purpose museum and Arts center has a bit of…read moreeverything for an enjoyable visit. Located at the end of a long gravel driveway off Ewing, the Center owes its origin to locals, including John Mellencamp who was raised in Seymour. The campus has a home (circa 1851) that houses special revolving collections of art and memorabilia as well as artwork by John Mellencamp and his family. There is also a permanent collection of items about Mellencamp's career which is fun to see the changes in style from his beginnings until now. At one time, there were multiple Mellencamp original paintings but some were loaned and had not been returned at the time of my visit. I had just missed a tribute to Al Unser that had been on display for the tie in to the Indy 500. There is also the Connor Museum of Antique Printing that portrays the history of printing as you walk around inside. They have antique printing presses on site and during tours, demonstrations of the process. There is also ceramic/pottery making with classes and demonstrations on certain days. A garden "Minutes to Memories" has been established outside the printing museum. To the north is a Craft Barn and an amphitheater that features live music on weekend evenings during the summer. For a small community, there is a lot to see for free (donations are accepted). It is located near the pool and the softball/baseball fields, and it is hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. So I will treat them as a single unit. The park has 3 horseshoe pits that are enclosed by a fence. You will also find some decent tennis and pickleball courts near the pool. The park has 3 shelters that are available for rent. The shelters have picnic tables under them and would be great for parties and events. There are 8 soccer fields at the park. They are decently maintained. The park's full basketball court is pretty nice. I almost had to lace them up and make it rain. What this park has that many don't is a remote-controlled car park. It is a pretty nice dirt track, and I have not seen this at any other park I have visited. The park is home to a seasonal farmers' market set up under the large shelter. Some parking spots are reserved for the farmers' market on days it operates. I do not know how strictly that is enforced, though. The park's playground is very nice. It appears to be new and has some kind of zipline swing, a bank of traditional/ADA/toddler swings, a saucer swing, a net climber, a WhirlyQ Spinner, and a huge jungle gym with a couple of slides and a bridge. There is a smaller playground area with a spiral slide, a jet rocker, a saucer swing, and a jungle gym with several slides and a canopy. The playground area is on a bed of wood chips, and the equipment is very modern and in great condition. All in all, this is a really good park. It is adjoined to a pool and baseball fields. It looks like it is where most of the town's events happen. It is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Great race track way out in the middle of no where in Indiana. I had no problems during my weekend…read morevisit for the first time in the state of Indiana at this Race Track. On Scene: Bobby Pierce won the Lucas Oil Series race here on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018. I took over 50 pictures while at this race track as you can see for this listing. I review race tracks based on the following; concession stands, view of track, facilities, parking, scoreboard, and smoking. Additionally, as an added bonus, if they have an overhead roof is a plus. A feature I haven't thought of as being important at a race track. But, it came in handy here since it was a rainy weekend. More on this later. Concession Stands: Every time I visited the concession stand, I noticed no lines or only 1 or 2 people in line. I think this is because they are fast and they have more choices to choose from. Additionally, they have more people working the concession stands. Furthermore, there were some other vendors selling food and drinks behind the concession stands. Over head roof: This race track has something other race tracks that I have been to -don't have. They have an overhead roof. I liked this, as you don't have to worry about getting sunburnt. More importantly, I didn't worry about getting rained on. Facilities: They have bathroom facilities with running water. So, you can wash your hands. Track View: I had a great seat as I noticed you could see the whole race track from just about any seat in the grandstands. It's important to see all race cars race around the oval dirt track as a race fan. Parking: I had no problems in parking. The attendant said I could park anywhere. Also, I had no problems leaving the race after the race was over. Scoreboard: This race track has a scoreboard to keep track of the top 5 drivers. I like a race track that has this feature so you can tell who the leader is at all times. Smoking: There was no problem of anyone around me smoking. Although, smoking is allowed, there wasn't too many race car fans smoking around me. Thus, I enjoyed the race without worrying about second hand smoke blowing in my direction. My Experience: I got to see Scott Bloomquist sign autographs for race car fans at his souvenir trailer. My favorite late model race car driver almost won the race here today. This Jonathan Davenport. Jonathan led most of the laps during the second half of the race. But, Bobby Pierce passed Jonathan Davenport on the last lap with about 30 feet or so to go to the finish line. What a race. It was about the best race I have seen.

The covered bleacher area has some questionable sections that are in need of some repair but over all they have adequate seating that is cover and newer bleachers that are uncovered. The racing action on track was great and almost none stop with the exception of track prep before the features. Compared to other tracks in southern Indiana I'd say this place was my favorite facility and has the best racing action.
