Brian did not tell me that I needed anything more than what was required to fix the car. Also the service center at Dick Scott is just spectacular. Helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable

A lot of false information presented by Dick Scott's Business Manager's response to my original…read morepost. First off, the paperwork received was NOT an estimate, it was 100% a bill. I was charged directly by my credit union (whom I had the lease with) and it showed up on my credit report as past due. Estimates do not show up on Credit Reports. Ever. Let's not pretend it wasn't a bill that Dick Scott completely washed it's hands of. You are correct that I had a lease wear and tear coverage on the vehicle from a protection plan I purchased up front. When questioning about this, I was told the damage only covered up to $1000 and the remaining 3K was my responsibility. Not a potential-responsibility of a possible charge, but an absolute charge from my bank that showed up negatively on my credit report. There is also a claim that as soon as you heard my concern you reached out. This is categorically false. You guys did absolutely nothing but insult me for being upset about it. At no time did I receive ANY information of what was being done by Dick Scott's office, other than, "yeah, that looks like a bill," and eventually, "we sent a copy of your contract to the third party." No effort from Dick Scott's office, just an email with the contract, implying that I was still liable for the charges, legally. I also was directly denied being given a copy of the contract myself. They felt no obligation to send the contract between myself and Dick Scott to myself, which they had just sent to the third party. In the end, Dick Scott did absolutely NOTHING to resolve this issue. This issue with entirely solved by my financial institution, who were phenomenal and recognized this as the unethical scam it was. It was my financial institution who spoke with me multiple times, over multiple days, assuring me they were connecting with the third-party biller who was claiming this ridiculous charge not being covered by Dick Scott, who had full possession of the vehicle for days before this charge was assessed. Anyone who looked at this situation immediately recognized things as fishy. The deal I made with Dick Scott had already taken place. You cannot ethically throw your hands in the air and say "oh, we had no idea there would be other charges. Too bad." This is exactly what worries people about car dealerships: the manipulation of the truth to make it seem like you're getting a better deal than you really are. I had paid 2.5K in cash to get the deal on a new vehicle I got. That deal would have been dramatically different if I really needed to pay 5.5K to get the exact same deal. This is the important factor in all of this that kept being ignored by Dick Scott's office. The extreme fee for a normal wear and tear turn-in was eventually removed entirely due to my financial institution's efforts and had NOTHING to do with anything from Dick Scott's office. It was my own persistence, day after day, week after week, of talking with my financial institution which finally got the job done. Also, after multiple weeks, I did stop reaching out directly to the Dick Scott rep because the only response was them trying to claim Dick Scott had no liability and that I had no reason to be upset. Since your office had washed your hands of this bill already, I didn't realize I needed to let you know the bill had been withdrawn by the 3rd-party company. There is a reason yelp reviews exist. People should be aware of the truth from the customer/consumer's point of view, not just the corporate-spin-narrative.
