*Update* - Switched from 2 stars to 5 since Ben contacted me and had the problem areas regarding our unfinished tree area and the flooding area due to improper leveling repaired. After contact the tree was fixed immediately and the re-grading was done after the rain and the ground dried up. I will see if the new grading worked but for now it looks like it is all aimed in the correct direction. Ben made good on the work his employees did and he made sure that we were pleased as homeowners. I definitely would give Showcase another shot at a different job. read more

I am beyond happy that I used Showcase Renovations for my backyard project. The entire process was so easy, from start to finish. What's funny was that they were one of the companies that was included when yelp asks if you want to send a request to additional companies. So glad I said yes. I almost immediately got a call from Roy to schedule an appointment. He came on time, answered all my questions, brought samples, and was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. Within a few days I received the estimate and after reviewing all the other quotes, decided to go with them. Their products carry a 15 yr warranty and are reasonably priced. On the day of the install, they were suppose to arrive at 8 but Roy called to let me know that they wouldn't arrive till 8:45. I really appreciated the heads up. I reached out to Ben after yelp suggested he might be a fit for a stone wall project I was working on in the garden. In our initial phone chat ben gave me a ballpark price and promised to followup with a detailed proposal. The proposal I received was a fair bit more $ than the ballpark range I been had given in the phone and was lacking in details like what type of stone material was included, breakout of labor and covered install work, it felt like there was a lack of thoroughness. When I followed up to ask those questions I was meet with what I considered to be a defensive and mildly antagonistic reply and no answer to the questions "what is your hourly or per sq ft rate." I decided not to proceed with Ben. I've been through several home project processes on Yelp from attic insulation and electrical, to plumbing to landscaping with no problems but this overall experience was unpleasant. I got the impression that this project wasn't important to Ben based in part on the information that it was too small for them to drive out to estimate in person ($6200 was his quote), perhaps your experience with a larger project will be better! read more
