bought a 4x4 ford f-150 back in September. when i needed to use the 4 wheel drive it did not work. I purchased the warranty from them mainly because they told me if i bring it back to them i would not have to pay the deductible. Well when i had to call them to make an appointment the salesman Bill Who sold me the truck, tells me they cant fix it and to take it somewhere else. the 4x4 never worked from the day i bought it. Thats why i think they should be the ones to fix it. i need that truck everyday for work, thats the reason i bought it.With all the snow we just had recently I was unable to use it. so i basically had to use my suv for the last couple months.Now thats completely filthy from puttin snowblower, salt, and shovels inside it. They also told me they were going put new rocker panels and cab corners on. They definitely didnt do the corners. they filled it with body filler and painted it. its been a few months and there rusting all ready. Im so upset i wasted all that money. Went to see a vehicle that had supposedly had a clean title & passed PA inspection at this dealership's own inspection station. We took vehicle to an independent mechanic and were told the vehicle was not even safe to drive, let alone pass PA inspection. The transmission fluid was empty and the frame was rusted out. We stopped the mechanic there and returned the vehicle to this fraudulent place immediatey. We also found out that the title was actually a salvage title that was replaced with a clean one after the fraudulent inspection. In addition, the Carfax showed a faulty odometer. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS DEALERSHIP. I live about one hour away from this dealership out of state. Had inquired about a 2011 Scion over the phone and went for a test drive it had a pull to the right. Asked them to inspect that driving issue. They got back to me and said it needed tie rods and a wheel bearing. Skipping over some back and forth the dropped the price of the vehicle from 7900 to 6400 due to these problems. Sounds great right? I had to call off work to get there at a decent time to finance. I called them right when they opened to let them know I will be there at Noon. I got a ride from someone got there just for them to try a classic bait and switch. All of the sudden the finance team tells me something completely different than we discussed over the phone. Not only were they changing that they were saying they had to change the price of the vehicle itself as well. This should have been a phone call. They dragged me all the way out there to move the goalpost like that. Terrible business practice in my opinion. They were absolutely trying to con/pressure me into a bad financial decision because they knew I was desperate for a vehicle. The salesman Shawn seemed like an alright guy but the owner and other people there were almost textbook sketchy used car salesman. I would never recommend going to this dealership. You're better off going with the tried-and-true ones within the area. If you need to finance, they will try to screw you over at the last minute. They wasted so much of my time. Not worth your time. Based on these other reviews I'm reading they tend to screw over hard working people all over the Pittsburgh area. Take your business elsewhere! I am a review reader (I check Yelp which always has the worst, google reviews, anything I can find) & almost didn't go to Showcase due to the negatives .... but Showcase had a vehicle we were specifically looking for (older Pilot, low mileage) .... 06 Honda Pilot, 71,000 miles, 1 owner , $7,777 price tag . We just had to go look !! The vehicle was like NEW..... it was rust free, no dings and drove beautifully....Kept thinking something had to be wrong with it... Thankfully we took a chance and bought it on the spot.... It's been over 2 months now .. it still drives great, had the Timing belt replaced as I could not get it verified from last Honda shop (on CarFax) that it was done 2 yrs ago.. had an inspection from current Honda shop.. passed as in perfect condition.. I guess my point is.... it is possible to find an Amazing deal at this dealership... We originally purchased a GWC Warranty through Showcase and canceled it the next day through my Credit card...Barry wasn't too happy that I did this, but didn't contest it (Thank you)... I realized I needed to put my money into the timing Belt (cost $900) over a warranty that may not cover it, in fact it wouldn't have covered a "maintenance" timing belt had it broke on us... Barry also threw $20 down on the table when we were signing the papers to buy when husband mentioned the gas was very low, also a light was out & mechanic fixed that up right before we left ... Lets get started. DO NOT go to this place. DO NOT buy a car from this place. DO NOT trust the salesman that runs the place unless you want to get cheated out of your money. I bought a used car there almost 1 year ago and it has been a constant issue. I paid $3,900 for a 2001 Hyundai Elantra that he 'claimed' was in such good condition he kept it as a personal car for his elderly mother. The car after the fact was ANYTHING but safe. After purchasing it within the first week the battery needed to be replaced. When I took it in to a repair shop that said there was virtually no fluids in the car and were surprised I got it to them. Next I brought it in after hearing some sounds and the repair shop informed me that they needed to do major rear break repair and showed me that the entire underside of the car was rusted through. The metal looked like swiss cheese. Mind you the salesman said it passed all inspection 5 days before he sold it to me, so either the entire undercarriage of the car oxidized in 3 weeks in a pittsburgh summer or he forged the paperwork. One year later after sinking more than $1500 into this POS and now being afraid to actually drive it, I am having to sell it for scrap. Thanks Showcase Motors. I would never recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from this lot. If you decide against my recommendation, have your mechanic check the condition of the car prior to purchase. My father and son went to look at a car, they were pressured in to leaving a deposit The owner Barrry guaranteed that his mechanic looked at the car and it was in perfect condition needing absolutely nothing. After purchasing the car for top dollar it started having problems. When we took it to a mechanic we discover that it needed over $3000 worth of additional work! The work included the head gaskets, timing belt, exhaust, control arms and ball joints to name a few. Once I brought the problems to Barry's attention he refused to return my calls. Additionally, when I went to his lot numerous times to resolve the situation Barry refused to explain why I was not offered the extended warranty that had previously been advertised on the car window, how his mechanic missed the obvious problems with the car and why he misrepresented the vehicles condition. Barry refused to refund our money. The only negotiation he would agree to was a new muffler for our original car or another car on the lot for equal or lesser value. Unfortunately, Barrry would not complete the work which we mutually agreed upon to fix the replacement car of his choosing, it was never a convenient time for us to test drive the replacement car or take it to my mechanic. In the end I had to accept the muffler and pay $3000 to fix the already over priced vehicle. read more

Sold me an inspected car that my mechanic just told me cannot possibly pass inspection due to a ton of rust damage and holes in the subframe. That was in addition to a ton of other needed repairs. Went to 2 other mechanics and got the same news along with questions on who inspected the vehicle. Called Barry and he keeps telling me to call back a few days later cuz he doesn't have room in the garage to look at the damage. We are now trying to figure out who inspection station E384 is because that's who inspected it and we are also going to hold showcase accountable for not disclosing the frame damage at the time of sale, among many other issues. I wanted to resolve it with them but they are clearly more interested in taking your money than in trying to correct their mistakes. My lawyer is saying he has found several recent claims on them similar to mine so just avoid them altogether. read more

Barry told me if I couldn't take his word on it, I should look at something else. Then he tells me he actually checked the suv out himself and it was in great shape. 10 min later I'm under it looking at a completely rusted out frame with the rockers gone and holes in it. BUYERS BEWARE! NEVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM SHOWCASE MOTORS IN PITTSBURGH!!! My son recently purchased a used truck. He wasn't able to leave with it because the starter supposedly needed fixed. Once he was able to pick up the truck it ran like crap. With in 48 hours of getting the truck the check engine light came on and the dash lite up like a runway. Took it to our local mechanic and was informed there were many concerning issues. We returned to Showcase with a list from the mechanic and attempted to return the truck. Barry, the owner insisted they be allowed to attempt to fix it, this of course was done after he called our mechanic and spoke to him in an arrogant, ignorant manner. Throughout the process we were told it will be a couple of days, then a few days, we'd call for updates and were promised call backs but would never get them. Finally, my son decided to just show up, check to see if repairs were completed, and pick the truck up so it could once again be inspected, per Barry the owners request by a certified state inspection mechanic. When he arrived, Barry was completely intoxicated! My son was almost instantly verbally assaulted and threatened. Barry, was slurring his words, using vulgarities, and totally out of line. My son called the Pittsburgh Police, who responded and helped settle the situation. My son wanted to leave the truck and get his deposit back, but was told he would need to file a civil suit. The officers also addressed the owner regarding the fact that he was conducting business while being intoxicated but unfortunately he wasn't technically doing anything illegal so he wasn't cited. That night my son left with the truck, which was running worse then before. He took it to get inspected and it failed. Finally Yesterday I contacted the State Police fraud unit out of Pittsburgh. Shortly after my son was contacted by Barry, the truck, which was now undriveable, was towed at Showcases expense, and my son was refunded his deposit!! It was the worst three week experience of my life! Never have I dealt with a more unprofessional, arrogant, ignorant, vulgar person in my life!! Barry is totally a scam artist!! read more

The worst dealer ive ever seen. I bought a used car from them. The price was high and he told me everything is ok with that car. But, the rear shock was broken in second day and he did not care and shouted at me and charged me to repair it. After one week the battery stoped working and i had to change it. He told me the car will pass inspection easily and i will do that for you for $12 but he did not. So i took the car to another mechanic and the told me the car needs some repair that costedd me more than $300. In addition, he promised me o2 semsor replacement but he did not. The AC stopped cooling in 10 days. In a word, i spend more than $1500 for that shitty car in 2 weeks. I think he is so untruthful, never go there. read more

I wish there was a half of a star... I had a feeling after talking to Barry the first time that he was not being as upfront as he could. I was interested in buying a vehicle, but when asked to look at it, he stated that his wife was driving it. So, I scheduled to see it the next day (when it was convenient for his wife). This is a car lot with over 100 cars! Don't you think your wife could drive another car for a day or two? More than once, he made ME feel like I was inconveniencing him! So, after driving out there (for an hour) and going over the car, I went to take it for a test drive. I noticed the "Required Maintenance" light on before I even left his parking lot. He lied to me and said, "Only Toyota can reset that and I don't know why it wasn't reset before..." Well, guess what... Anyone can reset those. I did it for him while taking it on a test drive. I also caught him in about 5 other lies on the phone. So, after taking a day to sleep on it, I let him know that I had changed my mind and decided to go in another direction. He flipped out on me over the phone and then attacked my faith! My faith!? Okay... That makes sense. And it's really mature for a man in his late 50's (although he looks like he's 80). The place is an absolute MESS! Smells of smoke everywhere. And he wanted me to bring my 4 kids inside!? HA! Think again buddy! Not only does it smell, but it's just plain dirty - filthy actually. Also, Barry is very abrasive. And he comes across as that stereotypical used car salesman. It's kind of sad actually. I kind of feel bad about leaving this review, but after he made a comment about my faith, that was the last straw. Especially after the lies, the "Oh, my wife has the car" crap... That was it. That would be like walking into Best Buy and wanting to buy an iPad. And then the sales person says, yeah... you can buy it after I am done using it; when it is convenient for me. And don't bother me about it, because I'm using it. I'll let you buy it when I'm ready - even though there are 100 other iPads in the store. I would NEVER recommend anyone going there. He wouldn't even let me take it to MY mechanic to go over it for piece-of-mind. He is the first person EVER to say no to me in regards to that. On day two of ownership the car locked up in park, wouldn't budge. Did send a guy to open up steering column to unlock it. Told me to bring it over on Monday to call and he would take care of it. He never called me. I called him a number of times he was always too business and said he would call me back, but never did. Called him again from my number and another friends number and now has my number blocked. Not a very moral business man . In my opinion I would not believe anything he tells you. Horrible person the one guy who owns the place is a scheme. He told me nothing wrong with the car and he had his mechanic look at it. One week later the check engine light pops up and has a valve leak and several other problems. It was missing the plastic piece on the mirror and he said he ordered it and it's on the way, I called him about it and he said he "ordered the wrong side" and that he will try again and I called him again and again and now he won't answer my calls. He also said if there were any problems he would help me out but I don't see that anywhere. I paid over what I should've and now the two front tires are bald after a month, never go here for a car EVER! Also rust underneath the car, not sure if it's a problem yet. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER Showcase Motors if you are looking for a vehicle. I can not stress that enough! In my opinion, The Owner, Barry, is the used car salesman that gave all used car salesmen a bad reputation! He is a fast talker that finds something to make you feel comfortable with him. But don't believe a word of it. Everything is lies! Here is my Experience with Barry and Showcase motors; I went in looking for a truck. I was about to leave when he offered me an Isuzu Rodeo well within my price range. I was interested and took it for a test drive to my mechanic. My Mechanic checked it out and it was ok for the most part except a couple problems I was aware of. 1: the wipers did not work right. (only went 1/2 way up. 2: A window switch did not work. 3: The brakes went spongy on the test drive. I negotiated with Barry and told him I would buy the car if he fixed those things. I gave him a deposit and made him put it in writing that he would fix it. (Thank God I did.) 4 days later he called and said the car was ready to be purchased. I went in and the window switch still did not work. He said he had to order a part for it. I checked the brakes and they worked. I checked the wipers and they went up and down. I purchased the car. 1 week later he put the new window switch in. (I think he was hoping I would forget but I was insistent.) A few weeks later it rained and I turned the wipers on. They worked for about 2 mins and stopped. I called Barry and he said "bring it in." When I get there he tells me the mechanic did not have time to look at it now and I would have to leave the car over night. I called the next day and Barry told me he had to order parts. He had the car for 4 days when he finally told me it was done. The very next time it rains the exact same thing happened. 2 mins and stop. The next day I took the cover off and found he repaired the wiper transmission with a ZIP TIE. I took it to my mechanic and had him check the brake repair as well. My mechanic said it was repaired illegally, (patch job) and needed to be fixed correctly. It will not pass inspection like that. I sued Showcase Motors (Barry) in court and he also lied flat out to the judge under oath. The judge found him guilty of fraud. The judge even awarded punitive damages. However, Barry still refuses to pay the court order and now I've had to hire the Sheriff to go and collect it. I've spent almost $500 in court and sheriff fees up front because he didn't want to make a $50 repair like he said he would. read more

Purchased a used car from Showcase on Feb 8, 2018. Imagine my surprise when a body part fell off two days later. It was easy to see the body part was not properly attached and had only be held on with double sided tape. I immediately called and spoke to Barry who assured me he would take care of it, said he had to order some parts and would call me when they came in. He never did. After numerous calls to him by myself and my wife, during which\ one of the calls, a few weeks ago, he said the parts were in and he would check with the mechanic to get the car in, he has stopped answering or returning our calls. I was even willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they didn't know the body part was bad, but now it is obvious they did and will not stand behind the car they sold. It's a simple fix for them and I am surprised they would risk their reputation over this. I was very interested in another vehicle there, and he knew that, so I find it even harder to believe he would do this to a customer. Operate at your own risk. read more
