An extremely nice movie complex. It's either still very new or they do an excellent job of cleaning because your feet don't stick to the floor like in most movie places. The seats are very roomy which means you can stretch out and relax and the lobby is huge with a nice junk food counter. Of course the stuff is all over priced but that's part of going to a movie. At least the popcorn is fresh and they have a good selection of junk food. Bathrooms are also huge and clean. We just came back from seeing Wolverine and because it was a early matinee we just about had the whole place to ourselves. That's the advantage of seeeing a movie in a huge movie complex with lots of different movies and times. However just as we sat down in the virtually empty theater, these two idiots came and sat right in front of us. Why do people do that? The damn place was empty. We just got up and moved so we could have some peace. This was about the best place to see a movie that i have ever been in. read more

Love this theater. Workers are always friendly, bathroom and theaters are always clean. Lots of seating and can't beat the stadium style. Can get drinks at the bar! Prices are insane of course if you buy more than the tickets but we all knew that. read more

This is usually my go to movie theater along with the one at the Warwick Mall. I usually go to one or the other depending on whichever has more convenient showtimes for a given movie. I love that they do discount tickets ($7.50) on Tuesdays and I tend to plan many of my movie outtings lately around that deal, but even without that, I love that I can still get very decent discount tickets at AAA. Most of all, I love that there is PLENTY of FREE parking, unlike the pay parking you have to put up with seeing a movie at Providence Place. The food is of course way overpriced, but it's a movie theater, so what do you expect? The seats are comfy enough and the staff is friendly enough. I never go to the movies expecting too much in either department. I'm there for the movies, not for a 5 star life-changing experience. For what it's worth, I never leave Showcase Cinemas Warwick without a smile unless the movie I saw really sucked :) read more

Went to see Black Widow and had a fire alarm go off. Went to see it again a week later and the fire alarm went off again. Went to see The Suicide Squad and the alarm went off TWICE!! Writing this after an hour of waiting and counting which is completely absurd. This theater needs to fix their alarm system so people can actually sit through a movie again. read more

Went to see scream 4 and the theatre room was filthy spilled buckets of popcorn and soaking wet floors and also no social distancing had people sit directly behind and in front of us all while a bunch of teenagers were making so much noise and horsing around I couldn't enjoy half the movie. Listen, this used to be my favorite theater... the service has been declining for some time but nothing like it has since its recent changing hands from pepsi to coke. Its almost impossible to get help since the new kiosks eliminate most human contact now. Usually groups of employees just talk amongst themselves and stare while we wait 20 minutes for anyone to take our order at the snack counter. Which brings me to the new oil they put on the popcorn. I dont know what it is but theres absolutley no flavor and its just gross. We dont even bother anymore, not nearly worth the exorbitant price tags. They fact that there are two theaters within 5 miles of each other and show exactly the same set of movies is bad enough, but they way, way,...way over charge for EVERYTHING!!!!!! Please, go to another town, or in RI's case, go to another state and see what the other people see. Even in down town Chicago I paid about 2/3 of what I pay here and I have a better selection, refills on popcorn and drink (which is actually normal outside of RI) and a much better movie diversity. Yep, I agree with the previous reviewer pretty much to a T. This is my "home base" movie theater, as I live about 3 miles away. The place is always clean, and if it weren't for the morons who step up to either the ticket counter or the concession stand and don't know what movie they're going to see/what snack they're going to get, it would be movie nirvana. Of course, you're pretty much going to get that at any large multi-plex. I've never had any problems with the teenie-bopper staff that works there; every time I've been they've done the job they're there to do - sell/take tickets, sell me junk food. Went to see Up there last night and had another fairly good experience. Obviously, since it was a Disney-Pixar movie, there were a lot of kids there. What was cool was that when one bunch of snots started acting up and their mom-and-boyfriend couple didn't do anything to chill them out, another little girl sitting in front of them sushed them instead. You go girl! The mom-and-boyfriend at least had the decency to look a little embarrassed that another child had the stones to discipline their little rugrats when they didn't. read more

One of the first mega cinemas in RI. A large clean movie theater right off of RT 2 in Warwick. Ample parking and a nice snack stand in the middle of the theater. I believe there are eighteen theaters in this building. Prices are typical movie prices. Snack bar is overpriced of course, but who's not going to have popcorn while watching the movie? The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they did not have the new seating you find in newer theaters. Although comfortable enough, I missed the extra large leg space and comfy soft leather chairs. No reason not to enjoy a film here. You may even get a free book as we did today. Oh, and they give military discounts too. Awesome! read more

It's your average theater with above average prices. Bring a sweater, and I would not waste money on food here. I have gotten the popcorn, and it was hot and over salted. Which of course makes you need a five dollar fountain soda. Sigh. I wish it was a bargain to go to a theater with so much available with modern technology. read more

I usually prefer to go to this theatre on Quaker lane over the one near the mall because its cleaner, nicer, more spacious and they serve booze woohoo ! Lol. Now of course everything is overpriced, but I know this going into it cause duh, its a Showcase movie theater hello?? Lol. I usually try to go before 6pm to pay the current matinee price of $9. It also pays to be a starpass rewards member because u do accrue enough points to get free tix, free soda, and free popcorn. There is a front and back entrance so the lines never get too long, and they have this margarita, (I forget the name now) which is literally the BEST and tastiest margarita I've ever had! And its too bad they serve it in your typical small cup and charge an arm and a leg, but if im in a splurging mood I order TWO of em lol. Sooooo yummy. Some movies also have the reserved seating/food and drink menu option where u literally have your own personal waitress to take your order. I got the chicken blt club with fries and it was pretty good. I plan on seeing magic mike XXL when it comes out and plan on ordering the Magic Mike margarita!!! Can't wait! read more

Compared to theaters in NYC, ticket prices here are a bargain, but concessions are not...$4.25 for a bottle of water? The theater is clean and well organized. The people who work there are overall friendly and polite. The seats are comfortable and the sound system is good. I did not feel stuffed in as I often do in NYC. So in short, a nice place to watch a movie; an expensive place to eat popcorn and drink soda during it! read more

Cons: The prices here are just ridiculous. I know that other theaters have similar pricing around here but its still insane. They're across the street from a college and they don't even give a student discount! They have two or three big theaters and the rest tiny so when I pay as much as everyone else and I get a dinky theater I'm not to happy. Also, staff have no idea what to do with coupons not to mention their own Starpass. I get mixed responses every time I go there and ask for my refill or the M+M's. Pros: Always super clean and willing to accommodate you should you have a problem. Even though they might not be the friendliest personnel, all my problems were solved or handled properly. Overall: I still go back even though its horribly overpriced and staff is mostly incompetent. There is one guy who does impressions though, he's hilarious. read more

The selection of movies is the best in the state so it has that going for it. Outside of that... The rewards program is really weak. Really nothing is worthwhile besides the free movie ticket. I tried to exchange a "free soft drink" for a bottle of water, but they wouldn't do it. The margins are better for the soda obviously. Other stuff to complain about: No reclining seats like the newer theaters are getting. The screens need to be replaced since they are damaged in various places. Always seems like a trial seeing a movie. Once you've been in theaters in Boston or AMC/Regal you can easily see the difference. It is fine for what it is, but I've seen better. read more

My Fiance and I went today to see the ColdPlay video concert.we bought our tickets online and when we went to scan our tickets only one ticket was for the Warwick movie theater and the other one somehow was for the Providence showcase movie theater. I was talking to the manager and he told me that there was nothing he could do for me. Then to save a hassle we had to buy another ticket as he would not allow us to exchange our ticket in for another one so it cost us a little under 60$ for two of us to watch the movie. He was very rude to me and at one point was ignoring me to talk to another employee as if I wasn't even there. To make it worse the audio in the movie theater was below average for a video concert, some songs I could even barely hear them singing. What ever Happened to caring about customer satisfaction? The arrogance of the manager was very unprofessional and I do not recommend going to this Movie theater. read more

Nice, big, clean theater on the Warwick/E. Greenwich line. I've been here twice and both times were for special events. One was for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary screening and the other for a pre screening of an independent film. I had a great time and they, along with a bunch of other Showcase cinemas in the area, now serve booze. That's right, you can now get a refreshing brewsky or cocktail with your box office hit. Their mixed drinks, although a bit expensive, are quite good. I've had the margarita and mojito and they weren't half bad for a movie theater. They also have a selection of local and international beers. This is along with the usual movie theater food court snacks. Nothing like having a cold beer to wash down that nine dollar popcorn. The thing I liked the best about this theater was the cleanliness and the staff. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and they even will bring your mixed drink up to your seat for you. This theater is definitely not the closest Showcase cinema to my house, but it is worth the drive. read more

The Warwick cinema seems to have taken a bit of a plunge since I've been here last. Seats are the same since I was 12 (which was a long time ago). The theatre itself wasn't very clean. Soda machines were backed up for days. Staff were fairly friendly. I may just be spoiled by living next to a few really nice theaters. read more

My guess is the limited choices in the area lead people to be satisfied for less. Frankly, AMC and Regal beat this theater hands down. The one up side is the lower matinee pricing to include some discounts like Seniors and Military. Today there was a ton of obstacles in the hall to the theaters and the doors were wedged open... very noticeable on a cold morning like this one. All the gear was likely to support something else the theater was leased out for... my guess is some church given it was Sunday. Still, it was blocking the way to the theater for Deadpool today. The concessions in all theaters are high but this one was over the top.... likely the most expensive I've experienced aside from one years ago in NYC. The popcorn and drink portions are smaller than other theaters and more costly. The theater itself was mostly clean. Although for the first showing of the day I did pass on two seats that still had spilt soda on the arms indicating the cleaning could be improved. The screen did not seem to be upgraded for digital :( The image lacked the sharpness I've seen in several competitor cinemas. read more

So I took my son to the movies and was greeted by the most lackluster crew of kids they could hire, not one smile or thank you despite high ticket and concessions. I addressed the lack of service and the fact that four boys were standing around having a less than appropriate conversation instead of working with the young manager. He nodded assuring that he would say something to his crew. Maybe unemployment is so low they can't hire good staff or these kids don't appreciate their job. But when your dropping 50 bucks for a movie and treats. I would ask that basic politeness might be nice. I will keep my money next time and watch at home read more

Today I went to the theater to see a live show of the opera "Tosca" with a friend. I think it was one of the most pleasant ways to see a live opera in HD on the screen. The tickets were extremely reasonable. The conditions were very comfortable and relaxing. The quality of what we could see and the sound were both excellent. We didn't have to worry about traffic in getting there. There were no parking worries. The seats we had were picked by ourselves and were very good. I'm so happy the Metropolitan Opera performances are available to us in RI. Please keep these performances available at your theatre. I highly recommend that anyone who likes opera take of advantage of seeing them at The Showcase Theatre. read more

The snacks cost more than the tickets! For four tickets, two popcorns, four drinks and a couple of boxes of candy it was $80!!! No joke. A matinee for a kids movie really shouldn't cost that much. We went here to see the Metropolitan opera Live broadcast of Giulio Cesare here on the big screen and it was amazing. That's the Handel Opera, Julius Ceasar, to you. The way they have the theater set up is really cool. They have tables set up and waiters come around to serve you drinks and food. We ordered a bottle of wine and two appetizers from the restaurant menu. It was fun watching the opera while eating our meal. The live broadcast has some exciting backstage features like interviews during the intermissions. We enjoyed the experience for many different reasons and cannot wait until next season starts again in October. (Season is from October-May) If you actually make the trek out to NYC to see the MET live you have to deal with the hassle of transportation, timing, cramped seating, hotels and expensive tickets. It is exciting to see an opera live, but seeing it on the big screen lets you see and hear details that only the most expensive and exclusive seats will get you...if you are like us and cannot afford the $600 seats, you are resigned to sitting in the balcony sections where you need binoculars to appreciate the stage details. Seeing it in HD at the movies is like being in the front row. The seats are very comfortable and the option of eating and drinking makes it a really nice experience. The convenience of the movie theater is another bonus. You don't need to book a hotel or pay a ridiculous parking garage price. read more

I really like this theatre -it's close to home, always has great and current movies, has great parking and I love the seating arrangement (stadium style seating is what it's called, I believe). It's always clean and they give you the ability to purchase tickets online, so it's all good. Just Wish I could find more time to get over there and see movies! We went here on a date night, and it was while waiting to enter our assigned theater I almost got stuck to the floor by the air hockey table. The floor was so sticky in the theater and in the game area, I'm surprised I was able to leave. It's almost like some kids decided to have a Soda and Maple Syrup fight, and the people working the theater just didn't know how to clean up after such an affair. read more

For my choice of blockbuster "Hollywood"-type movies, this is usually the place that I end up going. It does help, though, that it's not too far from where I live. Most of the screens are decent with a couple of larger seating rooms, as well. As with all movie theater chains, the food is way overpriced and the ticket pricing is starting to get a bit ridiculous, as well.
