After 10 minutes of walking your lot looking at the two Palisades and several other higher end SUV's on your lot not one person came out. Not one person acknowledged we were there. My wife and I parked right in front of the building so there could be no misinterpretation. I owned a Chrysler 6-pak several years ago and would have fired my sales manager had that happened at my store. Hyundai, We Deserve Better: Our PA Request Denied Despite Strong Case for Assistance" My family and I have always been fans of Hyundai, but after our recent experience at Shottenkirk Hyundai, I can't help but feel extremely disappointed. Let me explain why. In December 2023, we purchased a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport from the Hyundai dealership, knowing that Hyundai is a brand that stands by its vehicles and supports its customers. This was a well-maintained, used vehicle with a clean Carfax report, and all the maintenance records clearly showed that it had been serviced regularly. We were thrilled to bring this car into our family. Fast forward just eight months, and the engine fails completely. The car has only been with us for a short time, and already we're being told it needs a full engine replacement--a massive and unexpected cost. We followed the recommendation to have a PA request for goodwill assistance submitted by the dealership, hoping that Hyundai would step in to help us get back on the road, given the circumstances. However, we were recently denied assistance with the explanation that we're the second owner of the vehicle. Now, here's why that doesn't make sense: 1. We Purchased This Vehicle from a Hyundai Dealership. It wasn't from some random, unverified source; we bought this car from a trusted Hyundai dealer in Kennesaw. Both the first owner and we, the second owners, have kept the vehicle within the Hyundai family. There's a clear paper trail of care and ownership. 2. Consistent Maintenance. The Carfax shows a history of routine maintenance by both the first owner and us. This isn't a case of neglect--it's a case of a well-maintained car experiencing a major failure way earlier than expected. 3. Only Seven Years Old. This car is just seven years old. With the reputation Hyundai has for reliability, shouldn't a vehicle that has been properly maintained last longer than this? To be told that engine failure is not something Hyundai can help us with because we're the second owner is beyond frustrating, especially since we trusted Hyundai to stand by their vehicles no matter how many hands they pass through. 4. Loyal Hyundai Customers. We love our Santa Fe, and we've done everything right as owners. But now we're being denied help for a problem that shouldn't be happening in the first place. A complete engine failure this early? After just eight months of ownership? This isn't the experience we expected when we put our trust in Hyundai. We hope Hyundai takes a second look at this case, because the denial feels unfair given the facts. It's not just about this one vehicle--it's about maintaining the trust and loyalty of customers like us who believe in the brand. Hyundai, we want to continue driving our Santa Fe for many years to come. We just need the support that reflects the values your brand is known for. We're reaching out in hopes that someone from Hyundai Corporate will see this and reconsider our case. Please help us make this right, Hyundai. We're counting on you. read more

I spoke with the sales guy and he was a nice guy on the phone. We discussed exactly what I was interested in and he said he could have it in a day or two. I wanted to drive a similar vehicle before I committed to purchase it. He told me to text him before I drove 35 minutes to the dealership. I did. When I got there, he wasn't prepared to talk about the car I was interested in. I knew the car was in AL and would have to be transported in, but I was very specific about what I wanted. He could have easily had the numbers ready, but he didn't. There was a slight delay from the truck company getting another Palisade off the truck for me to test drive, but no problem. Randomly, I asked the sales guy what was the "dealer upfit" or the random stuff you could negotiate off in the past, but now you are stuck paying, like tinted front windows, nitrogen in the tires, fabric protection, exterior protection, all the ways dealerships markup cars these days. I have been to other Hyundai dealerships in ATL and they range from around $1100 - $2500ish. He told me there was a markup of around $8K. I was shocked. We had spoken multiple times at this point and he never mentioned it. Had I known this I would have never wasted my time. I tried to leave and the sales guy told me that it was negotiable. I reluctantly stayed and went inside where I waited for 40 min while he talked with a manager to get me the numbers on the exact car, he knew I wanted. He should have already done this, but whatever. I decided that I had wasted enough of my time and decided to leave. The sales guy and a manager came out to my car as I was about to pull out and were nice, but then presented me with the numbers and it was a $10,555 markup! I am so frustrated that this company is the kind that doesn't advertise the markups on their website and suckers' people into the dealership to waste their time and uses unethical tactics to try and get the sale. It isn't even about the markup. The issue is that they tried to rip me off and waste my time. No one surprised me at the last minute with additional charges. Maybe they saw what I was driving and thought they could rip me off easier. I wish I should charge them for my time and gas! read more

If you're buying a car out of state DO NOT use this dealership the process started out ok, or so I thought. I completed my application online before arriving at the dealership, thinking this would speed up the process. The salesman called me the following morning to confirm receipt of my application. They came to pick me up the next day to finalize my purchase. Still I was at the dealership for HOURS, they got me dinner (Chic fil a I appreciate the offer but I'm allergic to what they ordered me instead of what I asked for. It was free so it's not like I can complain about that I really didn't care). That's how they earned the 1 star because the people are nice but this is a poorly managed place. I came back the following Tuesday before returning back home which is 600 miles away, to have their logos removed. Weeks later I get a call to say my application wasn't complete, what???? So I left the dealership with a car where all the paperwork wasn't complete! Ok send me the paper and I'll docusign oh no that's not an option I have to find a printer because it has to be a wet signature inconvenienced yet again. Ok I complete that. A couple weeks after that the 45 day tags are expired, where are the new tags. Four days later, today as this is being written I'm on my way back to GA 600 miles away to find out what is going on. Did I mention that I already have made my first payment and yet, I've been calling left message no response to find out the status of my tags since they've not received it. I get an email while I'm in transit to tell me that the copy of my ID was not clear enough to be accepted after I've been waiting over 45days. This is completely unacceptable!! It's costed me time and money I'm not going to be able to get back! People don't waste your time in this establishment I'd say go to Shottenkirk Cartersville if you want to use Shottenkirk Pam over there has reached out to me several times and I didn't even make my purchase with them. I wish she had calle me before I completed an application in Canton. I'm here now I ask to speak with a manager they don't even extend that courtesy. Smh all around bad business read more
