Hurrah for shot time, you will be needing to stop here after Cottonwood. We were lucky, there was some Ecuadorian Tequila equivalent tasting when we were there with Llamas to pet. We missed the Llamas as they were late. Nice friendly staff with a sense of humor an something in the bar for everyone.

This is the most amazing small town liquor store in Texas. They have the best selection of Tequila and Sotol I've ever found. Lots of eclectic items you wouldn't expect to find and the friendliest staff! And, hands down, the best ice in the whole Big Bend. (It has a zip lock top!) read more

Awesome location right next to where we were staying. A little bit of everything... beer, liquor, wine, etc. The service here was friendly and helpful. The outside of the building has a neat mural and hearse. Highly recommend! read more

Looking for the liquor store that 's the model for a Quentin Tarantino movie set in riral Texas? You've arrived. Quirky, funky, odd, eccentric and the only place I'm aware of in the area that has any kind of quantity of spirits, wines and beers more than a few selections that dot places like the grocery store, a knickknack/curio shop in the Ghost Town a few miles down the road. Kudos for the being located here. If you're in the need, you can probably find something close what you're looking for here. You have to remember that whatever wine you're buying probably had to be driven 200-300 miles at least from the nearest wholesaler and there wasn't a single stop for the truck on its way. Kind of like a lot of things in this area, you're lucky if it's even here. And with Shot Time you get a little bit of experience, too. Your mileage may vary. Glad I visited, glad I don't have to come here often... lol. read more

For a liquor store in such a remote community, I could not believe the selection and pricing here. I found my favorite organic wine that I normally buy back at home. They also had some munchies and lovely local merchandise to browse. The store clerk was helpful and informative for all our questions about the merchandise and the town. Highly recommend. read more

If you're out in the remote big bend and decide you've got a hankering for your favorite Scotch, say Lagavulin 16 year, and you think you're out of luck...think again! Shot Time has along with a ton of other stuff you'd never dream possible in the far out region of West TX. They're doing good work here! read more
