What a waste of time. Called me and tell me what is wrong is the window and told me he will order parts and get it the next day and will come the following day at 11:00. Never a confirmation after. No communication and I call he said he doesn't know if the part guy order the parts and wanted to reschedule. Highly unorganized and highly unreliable. read more

Shoreview Auto, Came by my address, looked at the problem with my Chevy Truck.... said they knew what was wrong, and then "Promised to order the parts needed, and fix the Truck the following week" ............. That was the last I ever saw them ... They Never Showed- Up !! I called them a week later, and they just " Ghosted Me ".... After over (3) weeks of calling, they still never called back ...... my advice would be - to not hire them , and definitely don't depend on them for anything!!..... very " fly-by-night", and sketchy company !! He will most likely deny this, and "blame the problem on the truck", but all he had to do was replace a brake master cylinder !! 1948 Chevy trucks are not that complicated read more

Joseph helped me replace my brakes and rotors, at a very reasonable price. It has been about 3 months since the installation and the brakes are working perfectly. Best thing is that he comes to your door to do the repairs or installations. read more

This is the guy. I've worked with Joseph since March of this year and had him swing by more than 5 times, helping with my car. I've had him help with a bad oil leak, and most recently, he's helping with the struts. The oil leak stopped, and he checked my car for any abnormalities with his computer system. I previously used a remote car mechanic pre-lockdowns and only used their service for brake replacements, which was what they specialized in. Trying to get a car appointment in recent days, working a full-time job, everyone tries to find a mechanic on Saturdays. If you're lucky to wake up at the crack of dawn, during the weekday, drop off your car, and Uber back that same morning, more power to you if you can make it back for meetings. The branded car stores are always booked up, and being out of a car, doing the back-and-forth driving, it can all be a hassle. I work from home and wanted to get my car serviced. I searched Yelp, and Joseph responded in a timely manner and offered to check my car out. I paid for a car assessment, and soon after, I purchased a new timing belt service, since the old one was cracking from a bad oil leak. After replacing the timing belt, the car ran smoothly, and I wanted to get the oil leak fixed. Joe works with companies to get the parts, and if there is a local shop that has it, he goes out that very minute and grabs the part and can get the car fixed the same day. Joseph is the go-to mechanic. He has great conversation and is extremely knowledgeable, explaining the fix and how to keep the car in top shape. He goes out of his way to help, taking the time to find the problem and offer a solution. With the oil leak, he stayed until the dark of night to find the problem and tell me the part I needed. Immediately after, I told him, let's order the part, and when he is available next, let's get that installed. Schedule a time before he starts booking up his calendar. Those other 5 stars aren't lying. Support local Bay Area businesses and bookmark this guy. He offers great prices and provides current rates from the online community, ensuring transparency and avoiding overcharging. Giving your money straight to him helps businesses like his thrive and helps the community as a whole support good people. Now I need to schedule more things for the car before booking a time gets further out. read more

Joseph was an incredible help and source. He is very transparent and very honest and smart. He values his clients and customers in need. Our transmission on our car broke down due to hills in San Francisco and we were not at our home destination. Joseph was able to accommodate our needs by towing back the vehicle to another location over 250 miles including us in the car. I highly recommend his services without reservation. Thank you so much for your help and your time. read more

Joseph is an amazing Mechanic. Straight to it and very knowledgeable. Got all my brakes done by Him.

I don't even know where to begin...Joe the owner, is well knowledgeable about auto repair it's outstanding. I had a problem with my car no one could figure out and he spent a lot of time to figure it out, , and did so. I CANNOT recommend anyone but this establishment. Hands down the BEST and he's honest and explains and shows you what is wrong with your car. He doesn't gouge you and is upfront. The best part he's a traveling mechanic. I don't put my name on anything, but I put it on Shoreview Auto Clinic. I recommend Everyone to him and they have all been pleased. Great experience! Thank you Joe!! Joseph took on the rebuild of our Mazda transmission when no one else would, and did a fantastic job. He came in on budget at a very reasonable price. He had exceptional skills in communicating what was being done each step of the way through the rebuild and reinstallation process. It was so convenient to have him complete most of the work at our home. And he even gave us a few days of city and highway driving to make sure the car was in perfect working order before accepting our money. Can't recommend him highly enough! read more

Joseph did an amazing job - quick, efficient, thorough explanation. I was skeptical at first though. He has an atypical service. But in the end, he was incredibly straightforward, I didn't feel taken like some shops do. Cost was silly cheap, workmanship excellent. Did brake pad and rotor replacement x 4 on a 2012 Infiniti QX56 SUV. Everything was transparent - highly recommend. read more

I like their speedy and friendly service. The price for the brake pads replacement is reasonable!

Joseph is the best mechanic hands down. There is nobody better. He fixes every issue I have ever had from simple oil changes to complex suspension. He is my go-to guy for all my cars. read more

I have spent the last two years searching for a reliable capable skilled mechanic. I have had window/door issues and axle issues with my car. After several less reputable establishments failed to permanently fix these issues and sometimes even made them worse. A lot of inferior parts and labor have unfortunately consumed my time and money during this search. Joseph replaced my axle with a quality part and scrunched his hands into a blind pocket in my door, so that my lock functioned properly. On his first visit he was able to diagnose the problems rather quickly, charged me an hour for the labor to diagnose the issue. Then he ordered parts, came back and knocked out both repairs in about 90 minutes even though the door was not an easy fix. If you are looking for a reliable, polite, honest, and reasonably priced mechanic give him a try. I could not possibly speak any higher of his abilities. What a great mechanic. Thank you! I was a bit unsure about using a mobile service at first since I found Joseph on Yelp, but he turned out to be amazing! He showed up on time and was super communicative about the brake pads and rotors he was using. I asked a ton of questions--probably distracted him a bit--but he was super patient and happy to explain everything. Joseph was quick but really detail-oriented. He noticed that my old brake pads didn't fit right because my car model can come with different specs depending on where it was made. After he finished, I drove to Tahoe and back with no issues, and he also included a warranty for the work. In the Bay Area, where businesses can charge an arm and a leg, it's refreshing to work directly with someone like Joseph, knowing the money goes to the person actually doing the work. I'll definitely call him again for maintenance or roadside help if he's available. Highly recommend! read more

Joseph did a great job on replacing all my brake pad and rotors on my 2010 Toyota RAV4. He gave me a reasonable quote and he had great yelp reviews which is why I chose him. He is very friendly, honest and professional. He completed the work in about an hour and a half. He also gave me some great advice on other things that I should watch for in my vehicle. I highly recommend his auto repair service and I would not hestiate to hire him for work on my vehicle again. read more

I found my go to mechanic. Joseph is prompt at returning calls, friendly, very informative, and most important and outstanding mechanic. I had him replace the clutch and flywheel in mine Nissan. The price he quoted me is the price I paid. No upsell, haggling, unexpected charges or any of that other BS that some mechanics are famous for. I recently relocated to the San Mateo area and I am very hesitant, with good reason, when I try to find a new mechanic to work on my vehicles. Joseph is it. The mechanic that I want working on my vehicles now. He does it all, in fact, I've already scheduled my next diagnosis with him. read more

Service, quality, and price 100%. Joseph came on time and got the job done in a timely matter. Thank you! #lifesaver

Although the issue with my car didn't reappear during Joseph's inspection, he thoroughly examined it and provided valuable advice.

Joseph was a lifesaver. My driver side window went down and would not go back up. I worked on it for to 3-5 hours, with no success. He solved the problem with the same method I thought of but he had the tools needed to do the job. I am amazed that his truck is a mechanic's garage on wheels. His analytic abilities are very good and his determination to do things right is admirable. I asked if he could do my brakes, he said yes, and gave a quote that is $200 less than the full brake work I had done some years before. With a flat rate (and no surprises) and very good and reasonable prices on parts, you cannot go wrong. I grew up at a time when doctors made house calls. It was very convenient when you were sick and didn't have the ability to visit the doctor in their office. I am 75 years old and getting the car to a mechanic is much more difficult than my younger days. Joseph filled a need perfectly. I plan to continue using his excellent service. read more

Joseph followed through on the first smaller project in which there was already a diagnosis done. The second time, he diagnosed a catalytic issue. With a plan set... he left me waiting half a day. I had to call him and then it sounded like he didn't have the time after all? Ultimately, he just did not follow-thru at all? Totally disrespected my time. Joseph was very professional during the entire process. He was quick to respond to my request for a brake pad and oil change and scheduled a time to do so. He texted me the day of to let me know he was running a little behind schedule which was fine for me. He completed the job in a timely manner and I appreciated how he explained everything to me. Will use his services again when needed! read more
