Dear Yelpers, please please do NOT normalize this greedy practice by giving this company or any company that does this your business. They'll say it's a standard industry practice. It is not. There are many honest services out there that offer free cost estimates and don't try to manipulate you to buy their products. They'll also say the fee is to compensate for the time that the technicians spend coming out, but that's just being dishonest. That $70 sure as hell ain't going to the worker. If they're being dishonest before you even hire them, think about what else they'd be dishonest about. Please stay away. I don't want to live in a world where I have to pay money to know how much something costs.
