We do not recommend getting prescriptions filled here. They cannot get it right. They are rude, and seemingly aloof to the fact that some people require daily medication for heart problems, cancer medication, etc, they cannot fill a prescription correctly. Today, they put someone else's medication in the bag, thankfully we checked! Posting on our local rant page, this pharmacy has a long list of horrifying mistakes. This pharmacy its very busy, the waiting times are at more than an hour. but they don't tell you until' they have submitted your order insurance and all, the energy there seems very low, no one smiles, very robotic like. In fact, in my opinion they should take training in customer service , not recommending, Thankfully I don't Come here often, it's like black and white in compare to my regular pharmacy. read more

My wife uses a number of medications that require compliance packaging (also known as blister packs). We decided to use Shoppers this month instead of our usual pharmacy. The medications were correct but not placed in the proper compartments. The fact my wife is a pharmacist meant this was not a huge deal. Had she been less knowledgeable about her medications, this could have posed a significant problem. When we were picking up the prescriptions, the lady helping us was unable to locate them. The clerk then moved on to help another customer without making sure someone else was helping us. Eventually someone did help us. However we were delayed much more than necessary. Today a the pharmacy faxed a refill request to a local doctor. This was not requested and we have no idea why it was done. For a pharmacy, Shoppers in Stony Plain is extremely disorganized. I do not recommend them. Especially not for those who are using multiple medications. read more

I cannot take pain medication, and had an ongoing prescription for a gel that they told me takes 24 hours to make. I had done it several times here and expected a delay, however 8 days later I was there for another reason and asked if it was ready. The pharmacist startled me when she began yelling at me that it was her break and she would go to Safeway and get it done for me. I politely said no, thank you and left and had my gel done myself at Safeway. Best decision ever because it is a complete different compound that works so much better. Horrible customer service. I left there in tears. My husband still goes there and just found a weird open ended sort of capsule in his pill bottle. No quality control. This could be tragic for someone. Be aware of this particular Shoppers. read more

A letter was provided to allow myself the opportunity to pick up prescriptions for my mom. Over this five year period of time, I have always had friendly, polite and efficient service. There have been times where there was a need to make some quick changes in medication and thus an adjustment to the blister packs. These changes were handled with ease, efficiency and the utmost politeness. I am now a loyal customer as well. My thanks to the staff. read more

I have had nothing but problems with this pharmacy. I have multiple sclerosis so I take a lot of different prescriptions, a couple of them narcotics like Dexadrine. Three times now my narcotic prescriptions have mysterious gone "missing", never my heartburn meds or antidepressants, always a narcotic And no one can seem to explain where they went. I would get the texts for refills and press c to confirm and go a few days later to get them and they were filled because I got the text saying they were ready but then go there to pick them up and they were gone. So not only did I lose a refill but my other meds were taken by staff. I'm contacting rcmp to investigate because this makes me very uncomfortable knowing my meds are out there being abused or possibly sold on the street. The staff are absolutely horrible and rude too. Do not use this pharmacy! They are shady and should be shut down! read more

I have been a customer of Shopper's Drug Mart for so many years I cannot remember the beginning. I moved from Kelowna, BC (we lived there for 2 years initially from AB Fort McMurray AB and Edmonton). I have always had great service and never had issues with my refills of medications ever. Since I have lived in Stony Plain for the last 2 years, I have had nothing but problems with this pharmacy, to the point that I moved everything to Superstore in Spruce Grove thinking it would be better. NOPE, so after dealing with disgusting rude people at Superstore, I called Stont Shopper's and had them transfer all my meds to them again. Her comment was, that will teach you to switch to another pharmacy. Heh...... UGH. SO saying that I had to fight with them to get a refill on my Xanax that I have been taking the same dose for 17 years. I have chronic pain/Fibromyalgia, among many more issues. My nurse practitioner is on maternity leave right now, but set me up until Oct, 2018 for refills. She messed up though and put in the NOTES section in the computer in March 2018, to refill every 30 days, to be filled on March 5 2018. Now I call to fill 3 days prior to refill day, because I would like to go see my daughter, and I cannot stop taking Xanax cold turkey without dire consequences as per my doctors warnings. I talked to pharmacist today, and she was not helpful at all. I called the clinic my doctor works out of and she would not help me either, and the doctor that is covering for my Nurse, will not accommodate me at all. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I would love to have a life if I can, and by fighting with the Pharmacy and the doctors, I am at a loss. Also I take 2mg 1X a day, and today they gave me the 0.5mg instead of the 2mg tabs, and then she marked the bottle that I had 30 pills which is only 7 days of Xanax instead of 30 days!!!! The Shoppers at Stony has done this 2 times to me in the past and that is why I switched over to another. Now that I am back I am so furious I am going to lose it. I now have to go back over there my inconveniences have been many because of there incompetence, and I want someone to deal with this. They are absolutely the most useless pharmacy I have ever had besides Superstore, as they are worse. If I do not get some resolution here, I will be moving to Recall or a local company. I am sick of being treated like a drug addict because of a bunch of bad eggs that ruined it for all the people that need it to survive. I have been taking care of my medical condition fro 20 years, I am a qualified research lab technician, and I know quite a bit about pharmaceuticals as my job would be testing and creating these medications for the public. I know what all these meds can do, and the dangers better than most people. I need someone to take me seriously, as I do not feel I am getting customer service I deserve. On another note, I spend at least $-5 hundred dollars a month at Shopper's Stony Plain. But that is not going to happen anymore. You will be losing my business, and if you think 6000 dollars a year into the stores pocket is ok to lose, you just let me know. NO problem there. I have used Stony Plain Shoppers for a long time now but am so sick and tired of the pharmacy staff. They are so Grumpy. They always look like they are so stressed out , rarely greet you with a smile. After sometime of this you really start to feel uncomfortable. I am going to find another pharmacy.
