I also found there are more local made products within the store so as to support local producers, yes, the price maybe a bit higher then national brands, but if we all chip in and help buy local, we are helping our society to recover faster! They even have an actual pharmacy where prescriptions can be called in by your doctor. I did not have any encounters with the pharmacy area, but came in here mainly for toiletry items. The items are easy to find since the labeling on the isles are descriptive. They have a limited amount of body wash selection, but a larger amount of shampoos/conditioners. The difficult part about this small pharmacy is the space inside. There is little to no space to walk. When it came time to pay it was just a blob of people. They had one person working at the cashier and five people in line. It was really ridiculous. They finally called another cashier after about 5 minutes. They need to get people in and out fast due to the limited amount of space in the place.

The other Independent store in Whistler isn't as large and they frequently run out of the teas this store carries. The bakery is spot on awesome, we get our cakes from this location (they have more options than the one in Whistler) and they carry loads of different types of massive bags of naan. Their pre-made food section is also pretty impressive. If I were a tourist heading up to Whistler, stop here and get something! Their flat beads, pizzas, spicy wings, pastas, ready to pop in the oven lasagna, quiches, and stuffed peppers are all so good. Not surprisingly, their pain relief aisle was filled with a large variety of items. Clearly, I was not the first, last, or only one to injure themselves on the mountains. Not only can you order on-line but they will deliver and put away the groceries too. (This was key as we didn't have a car and had a very long day of traveling). When you order, the manager Gerry calls you up to go over your order before placing it. I have to say the interactions with Gerry were the best part and one of the favorite parts out our trip. (There is a reason that when I mentioned his name to the rental company they said "Gerry is the best!"). Not only was Gerry super kind and fun to talk to, he made great suggestions on things to get and ideas for what we were missing. (Gotta make sure we had ketchup chips and the Maple Creme cookies were awesome!). They even did a second order for us when we ran out of cookies and milk! When we got to the condo not only were all of the groceries there waiting and put away they even had a birthday card for me. On top of that, Gerry left a special delicious treat for me to help me celebrate! The interactions with Nesters and Gerry were so great (and I talked about them so much) that my kids asked "Was that the food that Gerry got you?". He's now a legend in Cambridge, MA too. Nesters was tremendous, the service was awesome and if you are lucky enough to have an interaction with Gerry. you'll understand why everybody raves about him.
