However, it is rather difficult to take it back in a suitcase. I could definitely see this store as a stop to buy everyday items. They have cleaning supplies, office supplies, food, etc for a really cheap and affordable price. I saw many items that you can purchase at the grocery store for cheap. They even had holiday items for Christmas. Even though it was after Christmas it still wasn't discounted yet. The staff were nice and friendly when we checked out. However there were no staff working on the floor to help people. Overall good dollar store, but I couldn't see myself wanting to come back here again.

Lots of snack food, breakfast foods and drinks at discount prices. If you go in hoping to get something in particular, I'm afraid you will likely be disappointed. If on the other hand you're just looking for bargains, this place is hard to beat. Keep your wits about you and you'll do well here - just be sure to check the expiry dates as some items are closer to expiry than others.

I went on a Sunday, when pretty much everything else on Beacon was closed, and it seemed like half the town was in there, hanging out and chatting. A very upbeat, happy place. Coffeeshops are passé. I'm going to start hanging out at the Great Canadian Dollar Store on Sundays!

Do you know what MTF is?…read more Leftover Costco stuff priced to move. It takes a bit of digging, but totally worth it. We got a $1200 treadbmill for $550 last year. I priced a hardwood dog kennel there last week at $160 and on line it was $299 US. They have fabulous one off furniture deals, clothing for the family, food and other "seconds". I like to go and quickly check their linens section. It is a great spot to pick up duvet covers for under $40. At christmas they have vast amounts of those decor items your Aunt Eunice loves, at great prices.

The area is very dirty and not well maintained. Once in the store the shelves are very high and narrow. It is a very overwhelming feeling if you are sensitive to small spaces/claustrophobic. The amount of items in there is very overwhelming as well. I didn't stay long and mostly stuck to the snacks and candy. They have a large area near the check out that has candy, gum etc. Purchased an aero bar, coffee crisp, kit kit and toffee candy bar. For 4 candy bars (I either didn't get a receipt, didn't take it or lost it but it was $4.07 USD. There were 3 self check outs and one staff there to check out as well. Saw employees in aisles but only one at registers. Overall it was an underwhelming and overwhelming experience and I would not go out of my way to go back if in the area.

You can find a lot of things in here from gardening and kids stuff, ribbons and wrapping paper, binders and pens and a lot more. It is one of the places that sells things that don't look like they can fall apart easily and they have some of the things that you can't find in other dollar stores such as pots and trellis for gardening. It is metered parking on the side street and prices are upwards from $1 to $20, but the items are nicer. They don't have as much food items as other dollar stores, but they have quite a selection on the themes that they do have.

I've known about this place a long time, partly cause I cross paths with it driving by to my favorite Chinese establishment blowing through Hazelbridge Way in my car, and then came the weekend where my dear sweetie was helping out with a wedding and had to buy glowsticks (yeah... think rave party!) for a wedding. She called ahead and they told her they had them here. Any plaza in Richmond is what I call an accident waiting to happen, this one is a little better, but just to be careful when you park here, as you don't know who is coming or going out of this place. When you enter this place, it's kind of like a factory outlet type store, it's big, it has two floors, and there is a ton of stuff. Where to begin, well what are you looking for, stickers for the kids, a singing garbage can, some light fixtures, some towels to wipe the food your about to spill at home, some toys for the kids who have not learned about the iPad you have so miraculously hidden from them (wow, you are good!), fried Filipino chicken skins (I kid you not, I took a picture and had to send it to my cousin to verify!), some weird gadget or a cheap chair to park at the corner for that party you are about to throw for the night. This place is definitely on my scale of weird, and some things aren't that cheap (didn't this place call itself a dollar store?), well you get what you pay for, and if you want to find some things different, by all means come here. Tons of party favors here, from balloons to those infamous glow sticks (that we found). The staff here is nice, they answer the phone and tell you what they got. I didn't get a chance to walk around much but will report my findings the next time I'm in here again!
