I currently live in Las Vegas so I was…read morehesitant about pulling the trigger on something of this magnitude without getting my hands or eyes on it. So I figured if nothing else get some pricing on tacori. Jessica from TQD helped me from the start. Friendly, knowledgeable, not pushy, gave me lots of options and time to sort it out. I'm not the easiest of customers but she is the best at what she does. I gave her some of the ideas I had and gave her the green light to put a ring together. In the end and in comparison to 4 other jewelers I contacted, Jessica got me a bigger stone, higher quality, and the tacori setting. My fiance says she loves me more than the ring, but by her reaction, it's probably a tie.

You will know when you walk through the door, that this isn't just any jewelry store. The people who work here are very helpful and knowledgeable and really want you to find a special piece. This is not a chain store where you never see the same salespeople twice. I have had pieces redesigned and repaired, in addition to buying new designs. Mike is a salesperson that has been extremely helpful over the years. He has a sense of just what I'm looking for in terms of design and budget. Their goldsmith is very talented, too. I have always gone away supremely happy.

The commercials for Granite Plus are enticing, offering the best prices and customer service, but…read moreour experience fell short of those expectations. My wife and I spent a couple months deliberating over the right granite for our kitchen remodel and the right granite fabricator. When we stumbled on Granite Plus we found our perfect slab and had a good vibe from our initial impression with the two owners (Lanette and Lazarus) that we worked with. They assured us that good customer service was paramount along with the fact we would get the very best price. Fast forwarding to our installation day some of our backsplash was missing and our bar top was set to be installed, but was short by 8 inches! Mistakes do happen, but we were met with a litany of excuses (one of which was to blame us for the bar top being too short) and we were not followed up with by the dates we were promised. To be fair, there was an issue with the 2nd slab for the redo of the bar top and after some back and forth Lazarus offered to let us go to Chicago to pick out the one we wanted. On a positive note the installers were very professional and did a great job.

My wife and I went with Granite Plus for a new kitchen counter top. After signing all their…read morepaperwork saying they are not responsible for any damages to your house and putting money down to get started, we even had to pay a charge for an oversized piece. I assumed they would send a larger crew to handle the larger piece. We started laying out the counter top. My wife spent several hours over multiple days working with multiple designers for the best pattern. On install day, 2 guys showed up and I asked if another crew member was coming to help with the oversized counter and they said no. Why was there an oversized charge when I needed to help the 2 workers lift the oversized counter? The layout that my wife approved with G.P. was not what we got. The pattern/seam does not line up to the drawing they provided. I understand that the fabricator has the final say, but it was not even close to lining up and not brought to our attention that it would not line up. Looks bad. One piece, 25"x22", also was cut crooked by about 1/4" so now next to the stove, it is tight toward the front of the stove, and there is a 1/4" gap at the back of stove. Other pieces are not cut square, but not 1/4" off. On another piece, they scraped and gouged the walls, which needed patching and repainting. Maybe a larger crew (that I paid the oversized fee for) may have prevented this. I am giving two stars because of patterns that don't line up, for not being able to cut a small piece square, and for having to patch and paint walls.

Then it all fell apart -- weeding cost $75 per person hour, and weeds were left everywhere. When we called about it, they came to look and said all the weeds must have grown back in the time it took them to get out to see it. Then our fall cleanup -- clocking in at $2400 -- left leaves everywhere and plants untrimmed. When we asked for them to do the job properly, they came out, said it was too windy and that must have blown the neighbors leaves into our yard, declined to do more, declined to acknowledge they could have done better, and knocked some money off the bill. So it only cost us $1600 to do a job we could have done ourselves in a couple of hours. Don't waste your money here -- you'll waste a lot of it.

I contracted with Avant early spring of 2019 to install some small berms and rockscaping in my…read morefront yard (about 40x12 ft). The planning and installation went well even though it was a rainy season and the installation got delayed until November 2019. This spring after waiting all winter, I was eager to install some plants as the rock work looked great. One thing I didn't anticipate is that previous to their work I had a layer of black plastic down to kill weeds (plastic had been in place at least 20 months). Even though there were some holes in the plastic the soil was now microbe and invertebrate poor because of the solarization. I reached out to Avant to consult and Becky has been very responsive and helpful in working with me with plans to amend the soil. So even after Avant's project was complete they continue to be supportive and responsive in making sure their customer is satisfied and the garden is healthy. Thanks AVANT!

I look forward to future sales and getting to talk with Carol and other staff. Carol was also exceptionally accommodating related to a vehicle that was for sale. She worked with my schedule on very short notice (20 minutes), answered all questions I had, and allowed me to take the vehicle for a test drive....solo and without her knowing anything anything about me other than my first name! She also got a tape measure and determined dimensions of her garage when I wondered how the vehicle might fit in my garage. My experiences have left me feeling like the business operates with an "old school" approach. I know everyone doesn't understand what that means but I appreciate it. I can't speak about the basis for the less than flattering reviews left by two other people. I did note however, that the person who left the more extreme message has also left a similarly oriented review about another local, well thought of estat sale business. When I was little, I was told that if I kept having the same kind of difficulty, it could be that maybe I should look in the mirror. Randy

I hired her to do a sale, asked all questions prior to signing, she even showed up with her staff at the initial walk through, in uniform. I thought she a professional. She was supposed to come in, review everything, price properly by looking everything up for a correct value, take 200 to 300 photos & start marketing the sale a MINIMUM of 2 weeks prior on estate sales.net & estate sales.org & adhere to the contract. As per the contract I was to provide a list of items that were NOT to be sold below a pre-determined dollar amount. I was NOT in a rush to sell everything, in fact, the plan was to keep bringing merchandise in & do at least 4 sales & anything left at the end would be marked down to ensure she got her money for everything. She agreed to this & I even made signs & priced items for her. In fact, the evening before the sale items were STILL not priced & a friend & myself had to stay until midnight to try & get everything priced! This sale was a very easy sale with everything set up & ready to go! Almost all the work was done for her. She stated "I still want my 40%". In reality what happened was this: 1. She did not even START advertising until 4 days before the sale! 2. She absolutely DID NOT price everything! So many items with no price. She gave a price at the register! Or scribbled a few prices on masking tape & group items " example: any small vase $3 " of course items were moved all around by customers. 3. She posted about 75 photos, not nearly enough. I sen't her photos I had taken & begged her to post them! I ended up with 115 photos compared to 300 that professional estate sale companies post! 4. She didn't even post pictures of the furniture! She didn't like my photos but didn't take the time to take her own photos! 5. She showed up a few times prior to the sale to "price" & actually showed up alone. No staff. I had asked this question when I hired her, did she have a support staff to help her set up & price, she said yes. The guy I met with her when she made the appointment never showed up again. 6. She came one day with one person prior to the sale to help move a few things, that was it. 7. We discussed parking prior to the sale. She didn't provide signage as she said she would. Period. My husband had to go every morning & set up parking signs AND return at night to put them away! Exactly WHY did I hire this person!? 8. Several times I asked her to add brand names in the advertising, she did not. She did have brand names in the advertising that I didn't even HAVE in the sale but she did finally take those brand names out. 9. She brought her own box of jewelry to sell at the sale? Taking her time away from completing pricing and such at the sale. Very unprofessional. 10. She had a 3 day sale even though the turn out each day was dismal! I really should have forced her to cancel. She blamed the poor turnout on another larger sale nearby. The fact is she didn't advertise for 2 weeks prior as contracted. 11. She sold at least 5 items way below the agreed upon minimum price. 12. Instead of continuing to work the sale & keep pricing & checking items to receive top dollar, she sat & her & her staff tried on clothes or took pictures of themselves. They had 3 days to continue to look at everything & at least keep pricing so it would at least be priced & ready for the next sale. We have cameras for security & the whole sale is on tape. 13. Several sets of very sellable China such as Lenox Christmas China was to be sold ONLY as a set. She sold all the large completer pieces to a few sets and I was left with just plates cups and bowls. Ruined the whole sets! Who does that? Pure greed! 14. She broke a very expensive Fenton lamp by trying to move it herself. It was too high up. A professional would have known these glass shades can tilt & it was way too high to try to lift on her own. She broke it even though I had asked her not to move it by herself. It was priced at $150 she didn't even say she was sorry or offer to pay for it. I can go on and on but the point is, don't hire this lady! She is purely a LIQUIDATOR who wants to come in & sell everything for cents on the dollar with minimal effort, take her money and run. Her ads state she is a retired school teacher and she "knows how to get things done! " But that doesn't mean she knows how to do it correctly & help her client solve a problem & make money. I feel she saw this sale as an easy "ready to go" sale, did not give it the attention it deserved, did NOT review & price everything as contracted, sold specific pieces way below the agreed upon minimum price, had a dismal turnout from lack of advertising, & squeezed this sale in between several sales to make a quick buck! She kept every penny from this sale & canceled the contract as if it was my fault she had a poor turnout. Run!
