I like that this shop rite is inside the mall and there's plenty of parking. There's a wide selection and they are very well organized. Plenty of registers so lines move quickly. Only con is they are pretty pricey unless you find sales and the staff isn't the nicest read more

The store is big and large selection! Sushi, bakery, fresh fish, small appliances, bakeware, you can even by a tv! Slow cooker! But people with pets should know that dogs are not allowed! Put them in a carrier! Your dogs ass is not in my food cart! Be respectful! read more

I'm totally disappointed with the shoprite at 1994 brunker Blvd in the Bronx. Shoprite is suppose to be a good and less pricey place to shop. I've shopped their for years. Now i notice you can buy the things on sale in the flyer, the prices are always 3 to 4 dollars higher. Their not helping the community, instead they are stealing. I use instacart but not anymore. It's a rip off , for seniors, i will not shop at that shoprite in the Bronx. read more

I could've gone further into my neck of the woods in Soundview and head straight to Western Beef- but since I had just gotten off the Bruckner Expy, figured coming here, would be ideal. ShopRite sits at the very far end of the Bruckner Plaza and it's significantly smaller than the Scarsdale location (I guess I can't mix apples and oranges), but somewhat big enough- for all your needs. Entrance is tight with barely any space to walk around. Produce and small Sushi station up front, Bakery section in the back, etc. I wasn't impressed the least bit with all the people ShopRite allows inside to navigate these small aisles especially now. It just made me cringe. I questioned the manager (who does double-duty as cashier) about the large crowd in SUCH a small supermarket. Sister girl was honest though and took the time to explain to me employees concerns about that same issue with upper mgmt. when they went from like 125 to 200 I think. Numbers might be off slightly, nevertheless- far too many people for such a small damn place. She also suggested I call ShopRite's customer service # to voice my concerns about my experience- which I did- but my call dropped several times when I reached 'customer care'. What the hell is going on? Granted, range of products was great with lots of healthy and Vegan items and fully stocked shelves. But at this point in time, this ShopRite doesn't have ANY consideration or importance for anyone's well-being. Nobody needs anymore anxiety.... seriously. I'll take my business to my tried and true Western Beef closer to my mom's. Besides...WB outperforms any supermarket in Soundview- in my opinion. read more

When an employee approached me in a rude manner and practically shouted at me saying "you are not allow to have a dog in the shopping cart" I told him, may I put it on the floor, and he just shouted "not on the shopping cart, not on the floor, you have to carry her. I told him, she is wearing a diaper, but he again repeated the same, "not in the shopping cart, not on the floor, you have to carry her, it is the policy, no dogs allowed " in a very loud voice. She is just a puppy, and she was wearing a diaper, because I am careful to avoid any accident with her. I went to customer service, carrying my little puppy and again this guy passed and saw me and looked at me in a very bad way, I told him, i am going to complain to the manager, and he replied to me "do it, I don't care". I think this is not the way that an employee should treat a customer, that is why I got so upset. He could have approached me in a polite way and explained the situation because I just went to Shop Rite with my little girl last Friday and nobody told me anything. Shop Rite should train people how to approach the customer, i felt so disappointed because I used to go to Shop Rite twice a week and sometimes at Stop & Shop, and they never told me anything about my little girl and she always wore a diaper. Grand Opening of ShopRite is a wonderful addition to the newly re-vamped Bruckner Commons, formerly known as Bruckner Plaza. This community has managed to go without a supermarket for 3+ years since the closing of Key Food. ShopRite occupies the same space as it's predecessor but some how manages to look 2x almost 3x the size. Talk about a good contractor for the remodel. Lol Offering a fresh sushi, hot soup, sub sandwich bar and produce as soon as you enter. A Bakery, Deli, Seafood, and Butcher counter are also available as well. The supermarket is well designed and of course everything is spanking new and extremely fresh. Just A Note: My only hope is that the store stays as fresh as it is today, on Day 1, years from now. read more

Yesterday 3/7/2020 I went to Shop Rite in the Soundview section and they had molded meat in the deli ON DISPLAY! This really bad and also sad! Hopefully they trash it and not cut around the bad part and still sell this meat! Here I am again today 3/8/2020 ShopRite and they did not remove the cooked ham and the mold is worst! I'm glad this has come to the neighborhood. I want to start off by saying I had a wonderful experience with one of the managers she was patient and helped honor prices that were displayed online but were not ringing up. Took her time to resolve the issues for multiple items. I would give her an A in customer service. The store has great options and well organized. Now two things I noticed that did not sit right with me . 1. One of the sushi rollers touch the garbage with his gloves on and continued rolling with those same gloves. Completely turned me off as I frequently buy their sushi rolls. 2. Baker who makes the cake was unprofessional. I went to the place to order a birthday cake but decided not to when I saw her decline another woman's request for a cake for Saturday. This was on Thursday so it was two days away. She stated she did not have any openings. When the woman walked away she told another employee she was chatting with "that people think their kid are the only one's with a birthday" "I'm the only one doing cakes I'm not adding anymore cakes" with a very bad attitude. Her and another co-worker continued to talk about some of their male co- workers trying to hit on everyone and some other inappropriate things in front of the customers. The policy use to be you had to order your cake two days in advance but now it seems it's at the discretion of the bakers mood. read more

Review is based on current visit. Before there was always a long long line for checkout no matter if it was self or with an associate. It seems like they have gotten their act together. They have turned a lot of the associate registers to self checkout which helps move the line faster. Don't forget to have a membership card and app to download extra coupons before checkout. If you need cold cuts, they have an express machine where you place your order and then use your last 4 of your phone number to give your order a unique number. They place it inside the cooler on the right hand side when finished. I thought that was pretty cool because it allows me to go shopping and come back to that without having to wait (sometimes 30 mins) for some sliced cheese!! Another cool thing i noticed was at checkout... when i placed my fresh produce such as avocados or tomatoes, the scale pulled up items on the screen almost as to know what i put on! So much easier than having to type in and search!! Clean and organized the store was and they were pretty stocked. If you ever looking for sale items they have it in the back left before the milks. My one complaint is that when you call you can only be transferred to one extension - "0". I called because my 90 year old father was waiting on a delivery that was late and could not get through! I called 7 times, 7 times who ever picked up the phone - hung up on me!!! Finally someone by the name of Michelle picked up - perhaps got tired of me calling and I asked to be transferred to the store manager. When I voiced my complaint she said no one called there. Of course not - are you extension "0"! Grant it I understand how busy it can get, but there is no excuse to deal with people in that manner. read more

I place my orders online. I usually go to stop and shop however I much prefer ShopRite. This is the 4th order I receive each time there is one issue or another. First time missing product no substitutes. The second time again no substitute but I mean for items like bread very common items in a market. Third time a cockroach was in the bag. I couldn't be sure because you never know however I must be clear I do not have cockroaches in my home. The fourth time was the main issue. Not only did my froze items arrive room temperature meaning the ice cream melted there was a dead roach in the bag. NOW I KNOW for sure the issue is the shop rite. NEVER Again. Small yet Mighty. As a former resident of the Bronx I'm so elated that Shoprite is here. Stopped in to pick up a few things and see if it is the same experience as the ones back home and YES it is! 5 Star ShopRite! The employees are all so friendly. Michelle at Customer Service is the best Shoprite employee I've ever met in any store. There wasn't anything she didn't know. Pleasant and Professional! They had everything advertised. Abundant amount of clean shopping carts. Organic items. Sushi Bar. Sandwich Shop. And a huge variety of ethnic foods. The checkout process is a model for others to follow. Speaking as a shop online customer, my review is based on that specific service as I have never actually been to the store. I can't praise this ShopRite enough. In the past I have dealt with other ShopRite locations. Once this store opened I switched over since it's closer to where I live. I can't speak for everyone that works at this store but I can give a special kudos to Konstance and Jennifer .L. These two young ladies are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They go above and beyond to make sure that all of my shopping needs are met. That makes a huge difference to me. If you're on the fence and haven't tried this location yet then I highly recommend it. This store get's 5 stars from me. On a side note to ShopRite Corporate Management I just want to say these two lovely ladies deserve some recognition and a raise! This place place is great. There is literally nothing I hate more than grocery shopping. This place has what you want, all of it. It's always busy, but the staff are generally top-notch (and that from someone who hates everybody). Most importantly, they can have a line half through the store and still get you out of there in 7 minutes. I absolutely love what Shop Rite brought to the neighborhood! Finally a supermarket that offer some organic options! Can offer more options. The Seafood dept is one of my Favorites being I don't eat meat and the fact that they steam shellfish is a plus! I wish it was fish as well! The Seafood staff seems knowledgeable about the seafood they sell! One of my fav workers ( because he was the most knowledgeable) transferred to the Meat dept. what a bummer! The Deli dept is another dept where I visit multiple times a week . The staff are great however 2 absolutely shows ShopRite core value EVERY SINGLE TIME it's Stephon and Shamika! Stephon even assist the Seafood dept on multiple occasions. The soups are really great and so is the fried chicken for a after school snack or Dinner option for the rest of my Family. The frozen is always stocked however I always have to go somewhere else if I want soy free meatless options like Goya blk bean burgers or broccoli spears ( weird but my family and I only like the spears) besides that it's ok. Sushi option is a plus! Dairy is always good and check out is almost always a breeze. A super plus is the staff is bilingual I(we) are able to asked a question and the staff are able to reply back in English or Spanish ! Which is a big problem in surrounding Supermarkets! The supermarket as whole needs some work but I can see it getting better once they know more of the area needs/demands. I'm writing this review in regards to the multiple times I have felt discriminated, and bullied at this particular shop rite. Every time I have come to shop rite with coupons I was told there was a different policy each time, there's been many times where the employees themselves do not even know THEIR own store policy. The First time I had an issue is when the store was doubling, I was told they don't double by my cashier at the time, when I told the cashier that she was in the wrong, she went on to have an attitude about her own mistake... I then had to take my entire order over the self checkout station because the cashier was unsure of how to do her job properly. When I completed my order on the self checkout side somehow my coupons were doubling despite the cashier telling me they don't.. 2nd time I went to shop rite, I was told I can only use the same coupon twice... which was determined to be a lie as multiple customers ( I have proof) have come and used coupons of the same value multiple times. I spoke to two managers( one was named Marvin, the other one i forgot) and they told me the same thing. I believe they are being bias towards me due to the fact that they do NOT apply those same policies to other customers. I am in no way a problematic customer, but I've had enough. This store is extremely unorganized and clearly there is something internal going on.. If a customer can't come to a store and respectfully have a concern without employees in the back snickering, tag teaming one person, having an attitude, saying they "would've cursed me out", then who's the real problem? read more

On a Saturday I ordered my groceries from shoprite.com and selected this store for home delivery which I had to pay a delivery fee of $20. Thinking that I was getting a bargain I purchased 10 cereals that were on sale for $1.99. There weren't any time slots available for delivery on Saturday so my only option was to choose Sunday delivery. On Sunday when my order was finalized I noticed that instead of being charged $1.99 for each cereal I was charged price full price which was about $5 a box. So instead of paying $20 for the cereals I ended up paying $50. I contacted the store to ask for an adjustment and I was told that they couldn't adjust it because the price that gets charged is the price that the item is selling for on the day the order is finalized. If they really cared to keep a first time customer they could have made an exemption and adjusted it if they wanted to especially since I can't return the boxes because of COVID19 policy. I find this to be very unfair and unprofessional how are you going to advertise an item at one price and charge them another price just because the order was finalized on a different day. If there's no delivery slot available for the same day then the prices should reflect the next day prices and not trick people into believing they will get the sale price and overcharge them the next day without their consent. The prices that the customer originally purchased the items for should be honored because that's what the customer agreed to pay and if that can't be done a courtesy call should be giving to the customer making them aware of the significant price change. read more
