I had the opportunity to have the 6oz pulled pork sandwich (comes in 6oz or 8oz portion), potato salad, and onion rings. The pulled pork sandwich was very well flavored however, it was just a little dry. The potato salad is made with red potatoes which is different, but good. The onion rings were awesome! They seemed hand cut, the batter was seasoned well and it is served with a horseradish which pairs well. I also tried the baked beans which were awesome . they had just enough heat to balance the sweet and savory elements. The burgers are great as well. They had that handmade, rustic look and were full of flavor not to mention perfectly cooked. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the service was not great considering my family and I were the only ones there (went went at 3pm on a Tuesday). I will definitely be going back because the food is really good and prices are fair. It is worth the experience! read more

If your looking for fantastic BBQ, great service combined with excellent value...look no further. Professionally managed restaurant with attention to the customer unequalled in the O'Fallon, Illinois area. Multiple TV's, choice beer selection, great food, super service...what's more to ask? Definitely on my return list. read more

make many visits for lunch and constantly good quality with relaxed atmosphere.

We live nearby and had not tried this place yet. The place was nice inside, clean and well kept, but service was lacking. We came in about 130 on a Thursday, so they were not busy at all, took over five minutes before a server came to greet us(she had one other two top table and now the two of us). Slow service. We ordered our food, got the fried pickles as an appetizer and they came out to our table luke warm, at best they weren't bad, they were probably the best thing I ate. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and got onions that had been kissed by the grill and were still completely raw, but he likes all onions, so it wasn't a big deal, his burger was pretty tasty. I ordered the three meat platter with brisket, turkey and pulled pork with corn and cole slaw. The turkey was juicy and moist, but lacked ANY flavor at all...it was more like cardboard honestly, the brisket was also moist, but lacked flavor as well. The pulled pork was the only meat that had that smokey barbecue flavor and was pretty good. Service was completely lacking. The server Alexis was kind of friendly, but didn't seem like she wanted to be there. When we got our food, we had to ask for silverware and that was the last of our server we saw. She didn't check on us until we were sitting there trying to get her attention after we'd been done eating for a while, when I told her I wasn't very happy with my meal, she said "oh, sorry" and then asked if we were paying on one check or two. We didn't even get drink refills until right before she brought our check. Very disappointed on how our first experience here went. I guess they are a bar first with food and service coming in second and third. read more

Can no one make brisket in the midwest? Another restaurant where the brisket is dry, dry, dry, no flavor, tasted like it was just baked in the oven. No smoke flavor and tough! read more

So, I've come here a few times in the past year. I usually do not get anything to eat and now I remember why. The food was ok; however, the value (per serving) was unacceptable. I ordered a cheese burger and it was half the size of the bun. Four average bites and it was gone. I mentioned it to the waitress, who also noted it's small size. The kitchen crew didn't seem to care about it when asked. If there is a next visit, I plan to have already eaten first. Very disappointing. read more

Service was extremely slow, food was mediocre at best, my wife was served an expired beer that was 3 months past its date and the only thing the manager did was remove it from the bill. When we asked for the manager she said she didn't know what she wanted us to do and that expired beer is not the same as expired food (ummm ok...) My wife is in the restaurant industry and in that case the customer's bill would've been comped with a new beer on the house no questions asked. If that beer was expired, that doesn't leave much confidence in everything else myself and my family was just served. read more

Shooters is one of my favorite lunch stops in O Fallon. The service is always good and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. Food is good quality and reasonably priced. My usual is the cheeseburger with everything, but if I'm in the mood for a feast I go for the deep fried ribs--yum. read more

Used to like this place but it has really gone down hill, particularly the service. Most recent visit will likely be our last. Place was only about 1/3rd full and it still took over 30 min to get our food. When it finally arrived, my sandwich was cold and one of our orders was missing the chicken breast. When we told the waitress, she came back with what appeared to be a leftover chicken breast from the previous night that was microwaved--dry, tough and not much flavor. No apologies from anyone for the slow service, cold food or order mix-up and pretty much indifferent attitude from our server. Really hate it when you find a good local place, it gains some popularity and success, and then it takes it all for granted. read more

Must try sweet smoked ribs and chicken. Best on the menu. Decor is nostalgic/vintage hardware store since that's what it was. Great atmosphere if you like sports. Ton of tvs. Too loud though. Can't carry a conversation without yelling at most times of the day. Good beer selection of you can read the menu posted on the back wall. Decent menu selections. Mediocre sides. read more

I try back from time to time with friends and it certainly is not what it was right after it opened. Took my wife there today for lunch and was disappointed again. 1300 on a Sunday and there were maybe 20-25 folks in the place. We went in and and watched waitresses clean tables and chat with each other, but never came close to our table. After 18 minutes of not even an acknowledgment, we left and went to Bandana's. Too bad customer service is still not a priority. We are generous tippers so I hope the chatting with each other was worth the money. I sure miss the days when Ciera was working there. read more

A great atmoshere and service combined with a large selection of tap beer and outstanding food at reasonable prices makes for a great bar and grill. We had never heard of deep fried ribs before coming to this place, but after trying them as an appatizer, I must say we were blown away by them. My wife had the pulled pork sandwhich and I had the beef brisket. Both were very moist and the bbq suaces were very good as well. The prices were very reasonable, especially when you consider the sizes of the portions. Both of us had take home boxes as we were not able to even come close to finishing our meals. We will definitely be going back again very soon. read more

love the place-great food and beer selection. Have had several different items and they were all good. I like the mohatchee burger.

We love their onion rings. Burgers and pulled pork sandwich great. Always great service

Was pretty disappointed by the service this lunch. I joined my family and when I arrived waitress didn't even acknowledge me or ask what I wanted to drink, just simply brought me a water and turned right around. Food took 40 minutes to get to us, where the salad (which we told our waitress twice to please bring before the meal) ended up coming with the food. Waitress dropped off food finally and turned right around and walked away. My aunt had no untensiles to eat her salad with. We waited for the server to come back around to ask for some, but we did not see her until we were all done eating our main food 20 minutes later. I ordered their chicken strips (which I've had before and were blown away at how good they are) but this time I could tell they sat back in the kitchen for some time because the breaking was falling off and soggy (I ate only 1). What stunned me was they weren't even busy, they only had 5 other tables there, all which were under 4 people besides 1 table that was a 6 top that was only drinking. I'm fine waiting for food as long as its good and your busy. But bad service, long waiting times, and Semi-warm soggy food, and you guys were practically dead?! :( was a sad experience. Ill be trying this place again though because I have had some better service and food was great, but I sure hope this was just a 1 time deal. read more

awesome BBQ. they have a ole' hickory smoker out back, and i would say their flavor of ribs and pulled pork smokes pappys (no pun intended). their fries are skinny and onion rings crispy. sauces made in house. tv's everywhere you look. Classy local bar hidden in a old hardware store. whats not to love? read more
