I was told they "only used the best parts." Based on their pricing, I thought I was paying for high performance parts. Well, after the installation, I found they used aftermarket, entry-level replacement parts. A good part maybe, but nowhere near the "best parts" like they claim. I was upset that I spent over $3000 to redo my suspension basically back to stock. So, I called around. It should have been half that price for what I got. However, for that same $3000 price, I could have gone to another shop and had a performance air-ride suspension installed instead of a basic OEM replacement. My mistake. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Two super friendly mechanics immediately came out with their equipment and started diagnosing the issue while I was there watching. They explained everything clearly throughout the process. They first confirmed it wasn't the Freon, then checked the fuses (which were good), and finally tested the compressor electrically. As expected, the compressor was shot. They didn't have the part on-site, which is understandable with how many different cars are on the market today, but they still gave me a fair price right within the expected range for my make, model, and year. By 2:14 PM, they called to let me know the car was ready. They also noticed my maintenance light was on and took care of the oil change before pickup. On top of that, they gave me honest recommendations for future services and explained what warning signs to keep an eye on. I appreciated that they weren't pushy, especially since I couldn't afford additional work at the moment. Overall experience: 5 stars. I feel confident in the work performed and trust the team's recommendations. It also feels great knowing the job was done professionally instead of having to rely on someone working out of their backyard on spare time. Thank you to everyone at Auto Star.
