Thanksgiving morning & Alex came to the shop bright & early just to help us out with my car. We thought the battery was the issue but once replaced my light still wouldn't shut off. I needed the alternator replaced. Alex was very welcoming & asked a number of questions to make sure the problem with the car was actually the alternator. He was quick, so nice, & most of all very very honest! I've been to so many places just for an oil change and they tell me so many things are wrong with my car that need replacing, Alex is the total opposite! He lets you know exactly what's wrong with you car & only what needs to Actually be done. Also his prices are more than fair! I'm glad we finally found a mechanic near by & a great person at that! Today I Visited Alex at Quality Auto Repair because my check engine light was on and I had issues with starting . He was completely honest and upfront about what my car needed and never tried to sell me services my car doesn't need. Great experience and I would recommend him for auto repairs. 12/08/21: I brought in my car for a automatic transmission leak check. Recently, my CV axles were replaced by Tire Kingdom (What a huge mistake). So it turns out , the mechanic at tire kingdom (while replacing my CV axles), hurt the output shaft seal and therefore, transmission fluid was leaking. Alex advised me to take my car back to tire kingdom and have the shaft seal replaced, which thankfully they did . Alex saved me $200! . Yesterday I visited Alex at Quality Auto Repair with an overheating issue of my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer. I had just left the Chevy Pembroke Pines where they told me they fixed the car. Alex and his mechanic Jaime identified the issue in less than 10 minutes, even while the car was hot (something the Chevy Dealer could not do in 5 days). If you want a real mechanic, go see Alex. The quote was fair, the work was top quality and in less than 6 hours my car was fixed. The work was honest, and right in front of me they started working on the car while I waited for my ride back home. They now have a new loyal customer in me. He went the extra mile and offered to drop me off when he noticed I was looking for a ride to work a little further down the road. 2010 Toyota Camry windshield water dispenser not working. Told owner, which my ol' man have been going to for over 10 years, that it needs to be fixed. Agreed on quote and proceeded to replace "pump". Next day the water dispenser did not work so went back in and the owner told my dad to go pick up a part. What kind of world are we living in that the mechanic tells the customer to go get parts??? Reluctantly my dad did so to get the job done, went back and was told to go get another part. WHATTTTTTT? Even my dad, a senior citizen in his mid 70s could not believe what this mechanic is pulling. Will never go back....10 years relation and to this owner it does not matter, apparently taking advantage of seniors is his calling card. BEWARE!! read more

What a nice mom and pop shop. Alex and Marta are the owners some friends at church gave me a reccomendation for them.. i recently purchased a used car(manual transmission) for my dtr and brought the car over to have it checked out. Alex took it for a drive and then worked with my dtr for a while teaching her how to use the manual transmission. I thought that was really nice. He did all the necessary maintenance on the car and was able to give me a clean bill of health on this vehicle. It was a a peace of mind to have his stamp of approval on this. Excellent little auto repair shop in a nondescript collection of warehouse space on Palm, between Pembroke Rd and Miramar. Although the area looks a little rough around the edges don't be afraid to pull in and speak with Alex (the owner) about the issues you're having. If you're hearing a "noise", feeling a "vibration" or your car just isn't functioning correctly he'll insist on getting in the passenger seat and have you drive with him to make sure you're both on the same page, which is a pretty comforting thought to reinforce you're not getting ripped off or charged for services you don't need. In my case I was hearing a higher pitched humming noise when idle, which Alex quickly identified as burned out bearings in the alternator. Sure enough he was right, and after ordering the part, which came in a reasonable amount of time, he installed it and I was on my way, confident that I was fairly charged. After Alex replaced my engine valve cover, I noticed erratic behavior in my engine while driving. When I got out or the car, oil was still leaking. I brought the car back to the shop and Alex called me within an hour to tell me that the car was leaking from the turbo, the oil pan and possibly a third location. I came to check, but could not determine where the leak was coming from. After Alex tried to rack up more costs on me, I lost faith and took my car to the Midas down the road. They ran a test and found that oil was still leaking from the replaced valve cover. I don't know if this was Alex's fault or if the fault was in the brand new cover itself, but, in any case, I don't believe in Alex's ability to repair my care and felt that he was a bit shady. Alex did not even want to check his own work, but instead wanted to blame anything else and charge me up. Save yourself some time, money and stress and go anywhere else for your auto repairs. read more
