Had several experiences with Middletown store over 15 years, none outstanding but current situ takes the cake. I'm working with my window Manufacturer to process a warranty claim and where they are directing me to nearest distributor - Shone lumber. Window company was very explicit and instructed me to simply provide warranty claim number and distributor will take care of the rest; however I was informed by Shone's they do not process warranties despite my referral. They are simply refusing to help me and frankly couldn't care less. Why would anyone deal with a company like this? Not me anymore. read more

Ordered 20 replacement windows from this place, the customer service wall very poor from the beginning. Was quoted a price and told the windows would be 6 months to get here due to the supply chain issues. I had no problem with this. Windows come in 6 months later and billed $ 60.00 more per window. Worst place to do business, if your in the Middletown area go elsewhere. read more

Shone Lumber's delivery truck crashed into my retaining wall during delivery of kitchen cabinets and are telling me that it's not their fault and they are not liable. I do not recommend them, they have poor customer service and ignore emails. This is the first negative review that I've ever posted. I try to only post positive reviews, but I cannot believe a large company wouldn't simply repair the retaining wall. read more

Poor customer service. I called them and asked the sales representative to provide one screen door measurement that was on the floor (height of the center of the door handle hole to the base of the door). He refused to do such. The carpenter had to go into the store to do it. I did call the store manager and informed him about this lack of customer service. He was surprised. I purchased the door elsewhere. Service has deteriorated since new ownership. read more

Customer service was great at the beginning. Delivery timing and explanations of products good as well. Issues occurred with an outside door. It's hinges were misaligned resulting in several hours of extra work for my guys. Secondly ordered dry wall. Quality of product fine, but they quoted a 2 - 4 drop off but the drivers were told 12 - 2. They also left they drywall on my lawn instead of in the garage. Not sure if I will go back. Others have liked it but the follow through was not there. read more

Should have known when we went to discuss a kitchen design and had made an appointment for noon but our designer had another person he was working with as I heard him say he forgot about our appointment. Did not meet with him till about 12:45. The plan was great we decided to go with the cabinets, paid for half and when they came in paid the remainder. Due to some work issues our. Ontractor start date was changed we made arrangement to have the cabinets delivered, already paid in full and the delivery person did not come to our door to see where we wanted them or even that he was at our house just left all but one on our deck and one in driveway when we asked him to bring g in house refused and left. Took my husband several hours to get the cabinets in as at least six had to come through front door. When I called when it hapoened they were closed for the day. I called first thing today and was told receipt says curbside delivery. Did they once tell us this. Had we known this would have paid our contractor to get them when ready for them. No customer service skills and kitchen cabinet department as our guy on vacation has not called us either. Very happy to take your money but poor customer service. Very disappointed was trying to give business to local not chain store. read more
