(Google & Yelp have their closing time listed at 5pm). I mentioned that and asked if we can still get a sandwich made. She said no but we can quickly grab anything from the shelves to purchase if we wanted to. She communicated their hours had just changed & the girl who makes the sandwiches was finishing cleaning the meat slicer. She was polite but solid in the answer she gave. I felt disappointed that they didn't honor their advertised hours. Another couple came in as we were there and told the same thing. It made me wonder if the hours truly changed or these workers just wanted to go home early. I share this to advise to call ahead of time because they don't honor their posted hours.

They have plenty of parking with their own gravel parking lot and shopping carts for your convenience. I'm always greeted with a Hello and staff has always been helpful when I've had questions. They load your goodies in paper bags which is so fun for me. I just love the bags. I know strange but It adds to the experience for me. Also, the taste Of their produce is so good. You can tell it's from the farm and not mass shipped into the store by a semi truck. I have never purchased plants here but they always look good and healthy. They take cash and credit cards and you could even be environment friendly and bring I hour own bags to take your items home in. Bonus; when checking out don't forget to grab a complimentary piece of candy. They stole my heart with that little extra mile of friendliness. While we typically go to a big box grocery store for our needs, they told me that this is THE spot for cold cuts/deli meats. And they were oh-so-right. My GPS directed me to a medium sized building off a country road. Parking was plentiful and the store was well marked with signage. It was indeed surrounded by farmland. The selection inside was fantastic. There were so many locally made and sourced treats. From fresh braked goods, through dairy products and produce, to the deli in the back. There was also basically any candy you could imagine :) Excellent pricing all around too. While everything looked pretty amazing, I had my eyes on the prize: deli meat for my little nephew who just started first grade. Gotta get quality items for him to pack for lunch! There was a small queue at the deli that moved quickly. There were separate lines for meats and cheeses. The folks who assisted me at the deli were very friendly and efficient. So much variety on the menu. After studying the available variations, I ordered one pound each of roast beef, ham, and turkey. They even have multiple options for how thin/thick to slice the meat - I opted for regular slicing. It came out perfect--not too think nor thin. Pricing ranged from $4 - $8/pound with roast beef being on the higher end. Extremely reasonable compared to the prices I'm used to and outstanding quality. A fantastic, unique, and memorable experience. Much recommended if you're in the area/looking for these types of good. I wish there were more vegetable/fruit stalls, however. There's only like 3 total while there are about a billion jewelry makers and bakeries. My ears aren't pierced anymore so I had to walk past all the earring sellers. We ended up buying some tomato plants, bagels, a delicious strawberry shortcake cookie to share from Rocky Rhodes bakery, two tasty mac and cheeses from Baby Got S'mac, and some pretty artwork of local Fort Wayne landmarks.

It was located inside Parkview Field, the home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball team. I like this farmers market a lot! It isn't huge, but the vendors are all great and there is a lot of variety. I got a root beer candle from Modest Wick, and some maple syrup from Metzger Brothers Farms, and honey sticks from Bee Great Local. There was also lots of fresh produce for sale, many kinds of baked goods that I managed to avoid through sheer will, and crafts made by local vendors. Also, I had the best cafe Cubano of my life from Laz's Cuban Cafe food truck, which was parked outside of the farmers market. I don't know if Laz's is always here, but if you see them and you like great coffee, get a cafe Cubano! You won't regret it. Many of the vendors at this farmers market accept credit cards, but some only accept cash or check. Metzger Brothers Farms was one of the vendors that I had to write a check to because I didn't have cash and they didn't have a credit card reader. So to be safe, you might want to bring cash to this farmers market.
