He knows his shoe stuff, including the construction of the shoes, whether or not they're coming back in a different style or color, if they're going to be discontinued, how well made is the sole, pricing of other comparable shoes, etc. There are some negative reviews here, but I don't believe they are representative of the overall experience provided by the staff Amin and Ritchie. See the many reviews on Google (4.6 stars) and you'll get a better sense of what it's like in the store. For a small locally owned store, it has got an impressive selection of quality comfortable shoes, and also some more youthful shoes that are very comfortable. In terms of ambience, it has probably not been renovated for years, but I don't mind - it's got good shoes, good staff, and reasonable prices. Glad to have it in the neighborhood and I hope it never gets replaced by a chain store!

That should have been a red flag for me right there. But instead I gave her my business card and the dress and left the store, not feeling right about it. I went back in six weeks, and she didn't know what I was talking about, and said she wouldn't have taken any clothes without me signing a contract. She finally found my name written in her book, but had no idea where the dress was or even if she had it. She told me to come back in a week. I came back and she still said she didn't know anything about it. I described the dress in detail, but she was just very curt with me. Wendy took my phone number again, and said she would call me when she found it. Well, of course she never called me. I never got my $250 dress back nor did I get paid for it. I felt I couldn't push it as there was no contract and she kept denying she had the dress. I have learned from that - always get it in writing, but I feel as though she stole my dress from me. I would never bring anything there on consignment again and would warn anyone who wants to bring anything there. I won't even shop there again, as she is unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude.

I did not have high hopes as the brands they carried are similar to every other store I have been to. When I entered the store there were more sales reps than shoppers in the store and they were very welcoming without being pushy. The young woman that assisted me was the most considerate of reps and she knew her shoes. She measured my feet, asked a bunch of question, listened to my answers and said I'll go get some for you to try on. It was an interesting experience. She actually knew that shoes don't all fit the same from one supplier to the next and she knew that it might take several trips to the back for more shoes before she satisfied my slightly odd requirements. My husband brought me there on the last day of their annual sale one time and persuaded me to buy a pair. I carefully selected a black leather easy walk shoes which I intended to use for both work and walk with my husband. I tried a pair in 7.5. My toes were touching the front and I tried hard to pull my toes back a bit. A sales lady told me that was the only size they had and was impatient trying to push me to complete a sale. My own pair of shoes that day was in size 8 and was comfortable. I was hesitant with this 7.5 SAS. She kept saying my own shoes were too big for me and that the easy walk in 7.5 fitted me well. At the end, I lost the battle and was coned into buying it. Every time I wear the shoes, I hate myself. The shoes were not cheap over $220 plus tax if I remember correctly. The leather is good quality and the shoes are comfortable inside. But I struggle to find more room in front of my toes. I wear the thinnest socks I can find every time. I wear it in occasions when I don't have to walk a lot for example sitting in the office because I expect my feet will expand after walking so the shoes will be even tighter. One day I wore it to walk with my husband as I don't have walking shoes. I had blisters all over my toes as I walked and both feet were sore for days. Now it can only sit on my shoe rack while I paid over $220 without a pair of shoes that I can use. This pair of SAS is my first and also last. I would not recommend this shoe store. For over $200, you can buy many trendy good looking comfortable shoes from good service sales people without trying to push you to meet their target.

The West Vancouver Sneakerbox has an inviting and calm West Coast interior design with extensive use of cedar wood for the displays and walls. The one person staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn't resist getting a pair of limited edition New Balances M997GY2 for half price and they had it in my size too. They were a decent selection of limited edition shoes from New Balance, Nike, Adidas, Asics, Puma and Vans.
