Palmetto Park Rd., Bay 23 in Boca Raton, within the Publix shopping plaza at the intersection of Palmetto and Powerline. I brought in a designer handbag for zipper repair. When I retrieved the item, the strap had been scratched and ripped, and the underside of the handbag was significantly damaged. There was visible hot glue residue and multiple scratches all over the leather. The bag had been in excellent condition prior to the repair, and the result was unacceptable. When I raised concerns about the condition of the item and the appropriateness of payment, I was met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. The shoemaker and an individual who appeared to be his spouse made disparaging and anti-Semitic remarks, including comments about "Jewish Boca women" being superficial for purchasing designer goods. Incidentally, they have no idea what my religion is, as I do not know them personally beyond being their customer. I am sharing this experience not only to warn others about the poor quality of workmanship, but also to highlight the deeply troubling conduct and values demonstrated by the individuals running this business. Their willingness to damage a customer's property, refuse accountability, and then resort to offensive, anti-Semitic remarks reflects a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, and basic respect. He eventually followed me inside and proceeded to tell me that they're not ready. Not only are they not ready but they're not tagged they thrown with a bunch of other stuff all over the place. Ask me if I could come back in an hour. I'm like come back in an hour. And instead of doing the work, he's outside chatting.. again there's stuff thrown everywhere. Nothing is labeled. Very disorganized. I told him I need to wait for them. he brings them back to me still black shoe polish, which I got all over my hands and the bottom of the heels are not rounded off they're all pointy and crooked and a mess.. the store is a mess. Luggage issue I…read morebrought the owner a piece of luggage that had an inoperable zipper. The issue was clear. The bag could not be closed. I dealt with the owner himself. He told me he could fix it by putting in a new slide. He made me pay in advance and told me to pick up the bag in one week. When I went to pick up the bag the broken zipper was still broken. When I asked him why he said he had replaced the slide on a different zipper on the bag that had nothing to do with the issue I brought to him. It was absolutely obvious that the issue with the bag was the broken zipper that prevented the bag from being used not the thing that he claimed to have repaired. I told him that I would like to get my money back since he had not made the repair that he was supposed to make (and I would have to pay someone else to repair it). He refused and became belligerent. My item this time was Tory Burch Miller sandals. The thong attachment came out of the toe, and the soles were worn down to the very thinnest it could be. I tripped a couple times causing the front to be scraped. The gentleman applied a brand new sole, refinished the front of the toes, as well as reinforced the thong strap. I have not used them yet, but they seem strong and I feel confident I can use these on my upcoming vacation without doubt. I will return for more services and highly recommend for others!
