While trying to check out, she was harassed by staff who yelled across the store that they all needed to disinfect because a nurse was trying to check out. It's almost impossible for me to believe that Academy would be so unfeeling to those who are putting themselves at risk to take care of others, but here we are. I will NEVER patronize this store chain ever again, unless a public apology is made in behalf of my friend.

The girl behind the counter was not dressed appropriately to be working at a job. She had a boom box on the counter that was blaring loud rap music with curse words. I asked her to please turn it down so we could hear each other speak. She turned it down then right back up to the same volume it had been at. Then the guy next to her was ringing up my purchase and he asked for the phone number. He couldn't hear the full number because the music was SO loud. I told him if he could turn it down for a second I could repeat it. He said it's ok and just put in some random digits. I did not feel welcome and was not treated properly. I will not return to this store and will not recommend it to anyone else.

Went in following day, while processing the return - literally not ONCE did the manager at the counter even look up at or greet me whatsoever. Gave off a major bad/snotty vibe. Seperate incident a few months earlier: grandmother entered the store to look for a sports bag - and all the employees stayed talking amongst themselves, never a greeting or offer to assist - so she walked right back out. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because one male employee was helpful a seperate time. Overall bad customer service.

So Saturday February 2nd we took to store to see what we can get done to them. The first lady said it had been 30 days so there is nothing they can do. The the manager said it had been 90 days so there is nothing they could do. So I asked her if their boots were only suppose to last for 4 months or less. She said she couldn't help us. I was very disappointed. We were gonna by myself a pair of boots and my husband boots from there the same day. But if u cant guarantee the quality of ur boots. We will not be going back.
