To say I'm appalled by how my daughter was treated is an understatement. We had just walked in to…read morepurchase my daughter a few pairs of school shoes on Saturday, July 21st around 6:30 PM. She literally JUST sat down on their little chair/bench in the kid's area and did a spin on it when out of no where an employee nearby completely SNAPPED and screamed at her multiple times demanding she SIT still. I was in shock, my grandmother was in shock but I made a comment back to the employee about how she needs to address me before full blown snapping at my daughter. At that time, the manager who was already walking up had heard it all take place and KNEW her employee screwed up immediately ran up to me, profusely apologized saying "I'm so sorry, she didn't mean it, she didn't realize you were her mom and thought she was from that other group of kids down there who weren't supervised jumping all over the furniture". But I could tell from the employee's face she full blown intended to snap. Now I know we hear and see all the time kids acting up, unsupervised and never corrected - this was not the case. My daughter was sitting right next to myself and her great grandmother, excited about trying on shoes and before I as a mother even had a chance to correct her to keep her feet off of their bench, she was full blown berated and SCREAMED at by this vicious employee - this wasn't a "it takes a village" kind of correction by a fellow adult but a full blown rage directed towards my daughter (because apparently she had issues with kids before her). The employee was organizing shoes and talking crap loudly about having to do her job because "crazy customers" keep messing all the shoes. The manager could tell I was overhearing everything this employee was complaining about, so we walked out and spent our money elsewhere. This employee apparently hates her job and the store's customers and needs FIRED. Don't shop here unless you want your kids berated, screamed at and cussed in front of.

While trying to check out, she was harassed by staff who yelled across the store that they all needed to disinfect because a nurse was trying to check out. It's almost impossible for me to believe that Academy would be so unfeeling to those who are putting themselves at risk to take care of others, but here we are. I will NEVER patronize this store chain ever again, unless a public apology is made in behalf of my friend.

So Saturday February 2nd we took to store to see what we can get done to them. The first lady said it had been 30 days so there is nothing they can do. The the manager said it had been 90 days so there is nothing they could do. So I asked her if their boots were only suppose to last for 4 months or less. She said she couldn't help us. Unfortunately, my last few experiences at the salon were not good. They kept moving my appointment…read morearound because my stylist was running behind. This is after they asked me to change the dates of my appointment three times. On the fourth request, I said, no, I can't move the time again. They acted like I had committed a sin because I finally said no. If you can't manage your time correctly for your clients, maybe you should not book so many appointments at the same time. I am now going to another salon and have not run into this issue. I hope to never feel shamed for having to accommodate someone else's bad time management.
