I went to get a new bar of soap and to browse the store. I found they had a very wide selection of…read morevitamins, supplements, and herbal remedies. Not too many soaps to choose from however. There are a couple of gas station fridges where they keep a few things, ginger beer, a few organics, typical health store fare. I quickly started to peruse through their selection of essential oils, which wasn't extensive either. I had opened a vial of pine oil, not noticing it wasn't a tester bottle, which nearly every health store should be carrying alongside the new bottles. The woman pointed out a small sign under the cabinet that patrons were to buy any oils they opened. I smiled at first thinking shed let me off the hook, but I didn't get that impression from her. I told her she should seriously consider buying the tester bottles, she agreed. I was a lil irritated at this point for being stuck with purchasing an item I wasn't even there for, and wasn't enthusiastic about spending more of my money there. The blaring religious music, some Gregorian nightmare, didn't help. Thankfully, I started chatting with another clerk, a younger woman who was lovely and helpful. I had decided on a bar of tea tree oil soap, which lathered wonderfully, and smelled great. Prices were typical of similar places. I have yet to find another with an equal selection in Jefferson county, besides HEB Plus on Dowlen in Beaumont

I guess customer service is not important at this location. I needed some non prescription medicine…read morefor a young child. I was told to ask the pharmacy, since the medication must be kept refrigerated. I asked the clerk, but was told to wait for the pharmacist. Apparently they pharmacist was busy because she was very short with me, and obviously didn't listen when I told her it was for a small child. She directed me to the adult version of the medicine, then quickly disappeared. When I attempted to locate her again she was gone. I was so frustrated I left my basket and went across the street to CVS where they were able to help me in under 5 minutes. Thanks for nothing Walgreens.
