My daughter and I visited Sally's in Greenville Texas on Saturday because she wanted to put…read morehighlights in her hair and do mine as well. There were 2 ladies working when we were there. One of them didn't really speak to us at all and the other one absolutely has no idea what suggestive selling is at all. I have a piercing gun and I was asking about which gauge I should use for the initial piercing (Nose). She asked who or where I was going to have it done. I said at home. She immediately told me to go to a professional or my nose would "blow up." So after she talked me OUT of buying the earrings, we were looking around for the supplies we needed for putting highlights in our hair. The same girl ( young, mid twenties, several piercings) came over to "assist" us. She did everything to try and discourage us from doing the highlights ourselves. My daughter tried reassuring her that she has done it before and knows how to do it. She then instructed us to "go to a salon." And was adamant about NOT selling ANY product to us at all. She stated "well if you're going to go ahead and do it yourselves anyway, I can show you a few products, but be careful with them because they will fry your hair and It's really advisable to let a professional do it." So she hesitantly led us to a couple of different products before finally letting us know that it would cost just as much to have it professionally done as it would to do it ourselves. I asked her if she had been to a salon lately, because the last salon that I visited charged, me over $200 and there was really no visual difference than before she highlighted it. Again she was determined to tell us that it would cost the same whether WE did it at home or a salon did it. Anyway in closing, I checked out with a total of $34.00 for the products needed to do mine AND my daughters hair. Almost any salon would have charged me at the very least $100 per person. You do the math. And please, educate your employees on up selling and suggestive selling because she is most definitely not making a profit for Sally's! Next time we will make the drive to Rockwall where they actually care about their customers and welcome their business.

I went into the Greenville, TX O'Reilly Store on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2020 around 6:45PM. Store closes…read moreat 8:00PM. There were 3 customers in the store and 2 employees. One of the employees (a white haired gentleman late 50's/early 60's using cash register closest to the front door) walked from the back toward the counter and asked if I needed help. I said yes, I needed to have a code read on my car, as the check engine light had come on earlier in the day. He paused a minute and told me they were short handed. Silence. I asked if that meant it couldn't be done?? He said he would have to catch up first so it might be a bit. SERIOUSLY?? He could of said it would be 5, 10, 15 mins or sure, let me check out this couple first. I would of walked around and bought stuff! (which btw I bought a $189.00 battery the last time I was there) Sunday night, 3 whole people in the store and that is your attitude? WOW. Walked out... no one noticed or cared. Got into my car and drove down the street to AUTO ZONE. That place had at least 10 customers inside...and still I was greeted and helped. Your customer service really SUCKED. O'Reilly's. I am sorry you would rather be home than dealing with non-revenue-producing-code-readings. Part of exceptional customer service is doing your job....short handed or not.
