Came here as a bit of a wildcard for a family dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised.
It was fairly empty but it still felt homely, and filled out within the time we were there.
The menu range was pretty impressive, and cheap too.
Starters were great, local produce and again, a good range of picks. For my main, I had fajitas, which I usually avoid, as I have no interest in being smoked at by my dinner and smelling like it for hours afterwards when it's the sizzling ones that so many places feel is super cool, but for some reason, that's what I went for, and it was actually lovely.
The blackboard full of puddings were all very tempting, three of us went for turkish delight sundaes, because we're total addicts of the stuff, and the hater among us went for torte, which was lovely and rich, and well presented, but we were too busy fussing over the huge glasses jam packed with chocolate and rose awesomeness. Obviously we liked that!
Overall, if you fancy a pretty cheap, filling, bit of pub grub, this can't really be argued with. read more
