They hid it as best they could (just enough to hide the mistake to most folks). At this point I should have let them go and found someone else. My mistake. At the end of the job I noticed that the patio was not close to level and based upon the way they had built it, about 1/4 of the patio would be completely unusable. Angel said it would correct itself over time and not to worry they would come back if it didn't. This was after they had been paid, so I was powerless. It still looks bad, cracks are forming, and is completely unusable. The grade is 4" over 9', but even worse, it is towards the house so when it rains, the water flows towards the house, not away. I've contacted them many times. They said they would fix it. To this date nothing has been done.

innovative Woodworks did a fantastic job building our sunroom and deck…read more Dominic, Steven and Ray started work in the middle on an August heatwave and they had it 75% done in just 3 weeks. That crew worked extremely hard in record heat from 9 to 6 every day. They worked fast - not sloppy fast, but efficient fast; like they have done this a thousand times before. And they left the job site clean and orderly every day. Our agreement was that IW would build the structure and I would procure the door and windows, which they would install. We had to wait a few weeks for the windows, but IW came back and finished the job as soon as the windows were available. We got quotes from several builders, and IW's price was in the middle, but they gave me the most confidence that they could actually do the job. And I liked that they did not ask for any money upfront, but rather pay 25% at 4 agreed-upon stages of progress. We had a good idea of what we wanted, and provided IW with some sketches and approximate dimensions, and they did the rest. When there were design choices to be made, they laid out the options and let us decide. They did NOT nickel and dime us with lots of billable change orders. Our project was slow to get started due to a snafu getting the building permit (which IW handled completely ) but once they got started, they made amazingly fast progress. I heartily recommend Innovative Woodworks - these guys are pros!

Watching them construct our stone wall was like watching them create a piece of art with how careful and conscientious they were about placing each stone. Roger is very responsive and was flexible with my changing requests. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Roger and his men and couldn't be happier. His prices are fair especially considering the high quality work they do.

Selection and placement of boulders, a water feature and plant selection were all done to perfection. I could not recommend him more highly,

Not being a person with a good…read moreeye for this type of thing (nor someone who knows his plants), I was a little hesitant to make the investment as I was worried I may not like the finished product. Jay also had proposed redoing more than I originally had in mind. However, I could not have been happier with the result. Jay's team went above and beyond, providing me with a beautiful landscape that was more than I could have hoped for. I am glad I had Jay redo it all, besides leaving my palm tree, so that it could be a consistent vision. Jay also knows his plants and only plants what will grow well in this area (and factors in the sunlight each part of your house gets). He only planted deer resistant plants for me, which is a big deal because I used to get deer eating my plants every night. A few months later, so far everything except one plant (lemon ball sedum) is growing well. The sedum may have gotten too much rain recently. When I let Jay know about it, he gave me tips to improve its health and said that he will happily replace it under warranty if it doesn't get healthier soon. I give Jay the highest rating possible and highly recommend to anyone looking for new plants/landscaping.
