I can't even get it fixed because it is so much shorter than I wanted. There are huge "texture" discrepancies all over my hair, the most obvious being in the back near my neck. There's also a strand of hair far longer than the entire length of my bob cut. I don't even understand how this happened. I'm so traumatized. I would never recommend this place and will never ever come back. I really had 1 chance to get a cut as a treat to myself, since I really don't have extra time to spare. And now I have to live with this until it grows out, definitely more than 6 more months. If I could give -1000 stars, I would. Please do yourself a favor and find a salon that can do a nice cut for long AND SHORT hair. WITHOUT A PERM TO MAKE IT ALL STRAIGHT FIRST. The skill level here is just so sub par. This is probably one of the worst haircut I have gotten in years compared to other places that are in different price ranges. Leaving the salon it looked good styled but when I went home to wash it and had more time to look without it curled I saw really choppy layers and the length is much shorter than i wanted. For a cut I paid $107-110 not including tips and expected a decent cut for that amount. Truly disappointing as holidays are coming up and I have been wearing a hat to cover up, cannot wait for this to grow out but will take months. Ara was really sweet and nice but I don't think the skills were there.

Super easy and convenient. My stylist was Senait and she was fabulous! I showed her pictures of my past haircuts I liked and she did a superb job recreating it. She was friendly and talkative without feeling like she had to talk to me the entire time. She did a fantastic job and I will absolutely go back to see her again. The whole appointment (wash, cut, dry and style) took about an hour and cost $95 (I have relatively long hair, I believe they quote a price range to account for length). The salon itself was busy and a bit loud. It is very bright (likely because they do hair and makeup) and felt more like a party rather than a relaxing place/spa. They have a ton of staff so I was taken back right away. When I went, both men and women were there for haircuts and someone was getting their makeup done. I would absolutely go back and go to Senait again.

Problem is balayage turned out lopsided, too close to my roots, and too choppy. I called the salon and spoke to the stylist . David promised that it will not grow out with harsh lines. Problem is it's still not the look I wanted. I didn't notice this until after the phone call: 1. The right side does not match the left side. Left side color starts close to the roots whereas right side starts further down (closer to what I wanted). 2. Poor blending on both sides. It's blended in the front but not throughout. Stylist even admitted on the phone they intentionally made the back more chunky saying it's okay because your hair covers it so you cannot see it?! I don't know about you but paying $380, I expect my entire head to be blended evenly. Also it would have been nice to know this up front. Higher price than I expected being in Chinatown. I'm visiting from Chicago. Not sure if it's all of NYC or just this establishment but 70% of the color application was done by a color assistant not the stylist. And there's expectation that you tip both the stylist and assistants. With that I ended up paying more than I would've in Chicago. I've had hair cut and perm with other stylists at the salon. Those turned out good. Do not recommend for hair coloring.

They tested a strain on my hair and it turned out red, and said that I wouldn't be able to go ash blonde. Super grateful that they did a test but very sad that I was unable to do the color that I want. They did offer me to do like an ash brown, but that wasn't what I wanted unfortunately. They told me I could wait for it to grow out and then they can't fix it up and do the color that I want. I will definitely be revisiting the salon since the service is so good and they are so kind.

The back had a longer piece in the middle hanging out. The layers were not proportional at all. Her right side layers were all choppy and her left side were ok but not as noticeable. This isn't the first time she has cut my sister's hair and she has done a good job previous times. I don't know what happened. For my mom she didn't even want to wash her hair. She wet it with a spray bottle and got to work. I haven't had time to check if it's cut evenly but I will do that tonight after work. I'm sorry but I don't think it's worth $45 anymore. It's a good price but for a not so good job no thank you. Also let me mention the last time I cut my hair I had to go back because I wasn't happy with the cut. My hair just looked so much more puffy. So we had to do some adjustments and do thin sheer cutting to lessen the bulky look. I don't feel like I should have been charged $25 which I was told was the price for just blow dry but when I've done cut and blow before and I've laid $60 even. I was called the morning of my appointment and rushed to view an email "unless my appointment would be cancelled." Driving from 1.5 hours away, and being given this email *2 hours before my appointment received the email at 10:30 am with a 12:45 appointment and was told that they had my incorrect email prior, have zero missed calls and zero voicemails* , I rushed out the door. With it raining heavily on the highway, there was a lot of traffic and I got delayed for my appointment. I pulled up to the salon, and they not only refused to see me, but turned their backs away from me in the window, and I was told over the phone that I would be charged a full 120.00 service fee for arriving behind *due to a situation which was out of my control. And now I'm being called entitled by the owner. Would understand if it was fees applied to a future booking, as nothing in their website COVID policy states that this is not an option.* Let me also note that I tried to call multiple times *at least 3x* before my appointment time started to notify them but their phone was off the hook, so I had to email. I told them I only needed a light trim, could skip the blowout, etc. but they said no, and refused my business. They then proceeded to book me for another appointment and I asked if they could help apply some credit to the next appointment. Again was refused. *Even though there's no a policy in place that says this is not an option. I had my lawyer look over it as well to confirm.* *I had pulled up to the salon to enter and they called my phone as I was outside to cancel. I was in my car and waved politely, and am being told that made the staff "uncomfortable" by even showing up? I had an appointment! I wasn't even allowed to walk in and discuss a rebooking with them. I was super polite about it and gave multiple opportunities to amend the situation. Still waiting for this to be amended, but not holding out any hope here.* Now I just got a notification about my next appointment being cancelled (without me asking to cancel it). *The salon assumed, and is now stating they don't want my business because I'm not 100% happy with how things went down. I wouldn't want them to cut my hair now anyhow, I'm very particular with who touches my head, and wouldn't trust them after this event.* *I asked to speak to the owner to resolve this peacefully and was denied. Courtney I know you are seeing this.. would love to hear from you - please call me to resolve this peacefully.* This place is rude, unprofessional, and I would never recommend going here *if you value good business ethics, this place is not for you.* Worst customer service ever. *I tried to do a good thing in supporting a small business in a difficult time, and I'm being called entitled by the owner multiple times.
