The office doesn't answer the phone and the turnaround time for a callback no matter what time of day you call is 48 hours. The insurance couldn't even get ahold of anyone. This is not the level of care or urgency you deliver to someone you've told has Stage 2 renal cancer.

His staff was amazing in helping me through initial issues that popped up while he was in another surgery. Then he got my surgery scheduled and answered all of my questions. Post-surgery I had complications due to my particular reaction to the procedure. He spent nearly two hours at the hospital that evening providing care for me directly which avoided a second surgery. HE HAS NO UNDERSTANDING OF ELDERLY PATIENCE NEEDS WHO ARE ON FIXED INCOMES. Dr. Dennis Ortiz then performed a surgery on my mother and then when she called him reporting pain afterward - he did not call her back until 36 hours later by which point she had to call an ambulance and was taken to the hospital. Once she was in the hospital he recommended that she check out against medical advice of the hospital which would lead to Medicare not covering her stay. Thank goodness we found another Urologist for her. DR.ORTIZ IS INCOMPETENT.
