His staff was amazing in helping me through initial issues that popped up while he was in another surgery. Then he got my surgery scheduled and answered all of my questions. Post-surgery I had complications due to my particular reaction to the procedure. He spent nearly two hours at the hospital that evening providing care for me directly which avoided a second surgery. Dr. Dennis Ortiz then performed a surgery on my mother and then when she called him reporting pain afterward - he did not call her back until 36 hours later by which point she had to call an ambulance and was taken to the hospital. Once she was in the hospital he recommended that she check out against medical advice of the hospital which would lead to Medicare not covering her stay.
