Ships

Great customer service, great views, cool ship, stay warm inside or cool off outside, clean bathrooms.

Maybe a little let down that we only saw two "shipwrecks" but it still was pretty cool. One of the wrecks was (pretty much) a full ship only about six feet below the glass windows! The boat ride itself on such a nice day made it worth the trip. The area of Munising Bay is Beautiful. Narration was maybe a "B" and the two guides didn't interact much with the customers. In fact every time I walked by the captions room the narrater was just sitting in her phone. (She was all smiles with the tip jar after however!) I little excitement could have made this a bit better. But, I can't say I didn't enjoy a couple of hours out on Lake Superior.

The Shipwreck Tour was such a cool experience! It was amazing very kid friendly tour--my boys were so happy to able to be up and walking around to see the views from different spots on the boat. Our whole family enjoyed seeing and hearing about the shipwrecks and the pictured rocks. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

If you like shipwrecks (and really, who doesn't?), you are gonna LOVE this tour. It's not every day that you get to see an intact ship that sank in the 1800's. The glass bottom is clean and clear, you can see everything clearly, and they do a great job of explaining what you're looking at. Well worth the money!

Amazing tour! We were impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort and design of the boat (lots of room to see in the glassbottom area, it was large enough for everyone.) We had fun learning about the history of Lake Superior, Great Lakes shipping and seeing the amazing sites so close up. Thank you!!

This was a great excursion! We highly recommend it to those traveling to Munising and looking for something fun to do. We learned so much on this tour and was able to really see the ships so well! Our guide and captain of the ship were both amazing! Thank You Shipwreck Tours for making my birthday such a great day!

Amazing views and narrative. Felt safe the whole time and great views. People were very helpful.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff on the boat and in the gift shop. Beautiful scenery. Time flew by. We took the morning cruise and I would love to take the sunset cruise next time.

Tour guides were informational. The boat sighting was really interesting. You could see the first wreck close up. Would do again.

When you have a option to go on a cruise, take it! Our time in the upper peninsula was refreshing…read more Being out on the water for a sunset cruise made it even better. It was beautiful! Please keep in mind that Lake Superior is the coldest of the Great Lakes, so once the sun sets it gets cold! There is an option to be on the bottom deck, which is enclosed. Part of the middle deck also has windows to shield the air. If you want to remain in the open air, you'll need a blanket and coat! Happy cruising. Also check out the store. They have many cool items for sale.

We bought tickets ahead of time online. When you arrive (they ask that you arrive 15 minutes before…read morebut know that it is first come, first seated so if you want to sit on top or get a seat of your choice, arrive as early as you can) you are seated on patio chairs all lined up for about 10 rows. As mentioned, you sit in the order you arrive. When it was time to board, everything was done smoothly and efficiently. The cruise was great, our guide (and I assume captain?) was fantastic! He spoke clearly and succinctly when telling about the history of the names of the formations and the lake. He expertly maneuvered the ship boat so that no matter what side you were sitting on, you got a great view of each formation. As some were better when viewed from a certain angle, he would turn the boat for the best view. It was a great experience! And the perfect way to see the rocks!
