I ordered items from a local bakery in Houghton as a birthday treat for my wife and the only way to have something shipped was to use this company. Biggest mistake I have made in a long time. Items did not arrive in good condition as the box was crushed and open to the packing material, baked goods where not in great condition either. I had the manager Emily admit that the baking box the items came in was not strong enough but they shipped it anyway. If I was to do this again I would look for a different option to have items shipped, as the owner stated she saw no reason to offer a refund! read more

Sloppy, irresponsible and doesn't care about customer at all. If I can give negative star I definitely would. In the store's opinion YOU are the one need to check every part to make sure shipping should be alright. First of all they have FedEx website but THEY'RE NOT PART OF FEDEX, so later on anything happens it's their excuse to push away responsibility. Here is the detailed real story if you want to know what happened to me (honestly it happened to me, it might happen to you): I shipped around 1000 dollars stuff here, before shipping I checked this store and a FedEx location near my new place to make sure shipping could go smoothly, and I'll be reached out when my stuff arrives so I can go pick them up. I gave every information to this store, email, address, phone, everything. BUT this sloppy place just put the address and necessary info, omitted other contact info on the box, which was crucial for me to get notified to pick up my stuff. So because of this my 1000 dollar stuff got returned back to Houghton!! After I called them, the owner lady just said they're not part of FedEx so they're not responsible for omitting the contact info like phone number, if I want my stuff I need to pay for it again. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! At that time I already left Houghton and I can't go back pick them up, so I have to pay another 1000 dollars again for their fault. IN SUMMARY: Again, if nothing goes wrong, you're fine; if anything goes wrong, good luck arguing with them since they're sloppy, they don't care and they're not part of either UPS or FedEx so they think they're free to be a bitch. read more

The guy who works there has an attitude problem. In such a small town, there aren't a lot of choices for shipping. We are older and perhaps we look like we don't know much, but still its unusual to have a "young" person treat us old folks like we're know-nothings. Receiving tracking numbers. I was told by the older guy that works there that I would receive a tracking number via my email that day. Even after I told him I didn't receive the 3 previous tracking numbers. He assured me it would work because he would be the one putting my email in the system. Well guess what. It still didn't work. I sold an item on ebay for my boyfriend and he called the Shipping Shop numerous times to get a quote with insurance for a 156 lb package. His calls were never returned in a timely manner and then when it was time to ship it and get a tracking number he got the same hassle. A comment was made " nobody is usually in a hurry like you are". When a person sends a package out and pays over $300 to have it shipped, of course it should be sent in a timely manner. I also found out from YRC that their was no insurance on the item and the quote given was with insurance. Also, the wrong tracking number was emailed. Only one word comes to mind - Incompetent. I have shipped out many packages and never dealt with such incompetent individuals. read more
