I certainly understand the fee, but as long time customers, with an appt the next day, I expected a more helpful response. We decided to wait until Tuesday, for the technician to arrive. At that visit we learned that needed a new blow motor. We got a quote of $1492 from Daimion. Our past experience w Daimion was this summer when the AC needed a capacitor. We paid $300 for that part- then learned it was a $20 part. Based on our capacitor experience, we began to research and found Shorty's in Indiana could supply the OEM part ( Carrier) for $790. Their quote was a good price and they even found a better plan for the install that cost us less money. The install was great; the township inspector actually said it was one of the cleaner installs he'd seen. We love our new heat pump and everything is working great. If we'd stopped there, this would be a five star review. However, they still needed to fix a couple of things, remove our old oil tank and give us the purchase information for the warranty on the system. At that point, all communication stopped. They did not respond to phone calls or texts for several months until, on a hunch, I called them from a different number. One of the owners actually picked up, PRETENDED TO HAVE PHONE PROBLEMS, and hung up on me. At that point, we hired a lawyer. It took more time, but eventually they did make good on their promises. And, to be fair, they didn't ask for the remaining money we owed them but we had to pay the lawyer so financially it was a wash for us. To sum up: install-fabulous, aftercare-absolutely terrible. As it is, I would not recommend Seal the Deal unless they get someone else doing the scheduling.
