WORST DONUTS IN TOWN. I tried to give this location benefit of the doubt, only to be disappointed again. NEVER AGAIN. When delivered, missing half my order (the kolachies and drink), donuts that were actually delivered are hard as a rock, old, overcooked and disgusting. Like what the heck man. I am a Houstonian born and raised. Ive had Shipleys all my life, so when I saw there was a Shipleys in Red Oak I was excited. I first tried this location a few years ago. I wasnt too happy with not having hot glaze after i called it in. Tried two other times, donuts wasnt fresh. So i decided to give them one more try. This is NOT a franchise of Shipleys. These donuts were horrible. I waited 30 minutes to get hot fresh glaze. These do not taste anything like Shipleys. Please use the original ingredients. read more

I've placed orders for pick-up through the app twice. The first time, I still had to wait quite a while even though I ordered & paid ahead. Ordered a glaze, apple fritter, glazed cinnamon twist, and their version of beignets. The fritter was fried too hard & hurt the roof of my mouth, the beignets were a waste of money & didn't even finish a whole one. The best thing was the cinnamon twist. It just was not as good as other Shipley's I've visited. I decided to give them another shot. This time the order was ready & I barely had a wait. However, the apple fritter was once again fried too hard and everything just seemed subpar. I'm not sure if it's just this location or if there has been a change in the recipe or something but the donuts just aren't as fresh and fluffy as usual. read more

Went to this location because Ennis is 20 minutes away versus 10 minutes from Waxahachie. Ordered half a dozen glazed donuts. The donuts were really small and really DRY icing was hard as a rock! Not sure if they are left over from the day before or freshly made. Either way won't be visiting again. They should be ashamed to have Shipley's franchised under such poor outcome of Do-Nuts. I will be going the extra drive next time I desire Shipleys. read more

Donuts were old and thrown upside down in the box, hard as a brick. I went at 8am sharp and looked like the donuts were days old. Glazed donuts had no glaze on them whatsoever. Definitely can tell this is not the original Shipley's recipe, utterly disappointing for Mother's Day. Service was also very slow with an empty drive-thru. Ps... I had to download yelp and create an account to leave this review, that's how bad this ruined my day. Don't take your chances at this location this is the 2nd time I've experienced this. Yesterday was my second and now final time supporting this place. I was so excited to see that we had one in the neighborhood since Krispy cream is gone. I even downloaded the app cause I knew my family would spend some time there. But I was wrong. First time I tried them 3 weeks ago we went around 9:30 am and was told they didn't have but 2 kolaches when we wanted 5. I immediately thought that was strange being that they don't close until 1 pm, but continue to place my order. Received my order and also a dozen donuts and was happy fast-forward to me going just yesterday. I arrived there at 10 AM through the drive-thur place they order for three kolaches, and a dozen glaze donuts. I was immediately told that they had no more glazed donuts was not given a solution. So I asked, is it possible to make them and how long would that take? The young lady did not know she had to ask but end up coming back to say 4 to 5 minutes. I said that's fine continue the order. As I made it to the window to pay, I also wanted to redeem my two free donuts as well from the app. I was told to pull to the front and someone will bring my donuts out. I ended up taking a call and realize I have been sitting outside for over 15 minutes. I noticed everyone coming in going out with their donuts so I decided to go into the store to see what was going on. Immediately as I walked in the young lady, who took my order at the drive-through looked as she seen a ghost. She was helping a customer so she didn't say anything to me. I waited, and another young lady walked up to me to ask because she help. I told her I was advised that it would take 4 to 5 minutes and someone will bring my donuts out and no one has came to my car and I have been outside over 15 minutes. What's going on? She was confused she seemed like she didn't know how to answer any type of question she had to get permission from the manager. It was very awkward. At this point I just stated now my kolaches are cold. If you can't provide the donuts just give me my refund she gets the manager the managers just says oh I'm sorry no one told me ain't refund me my money and that was it. It was a very cold exchange. I feel like she should have tried to make things better, but she just went straight to the refund and that very fine with me and also tells me to not ever pour into this company AGAIN!! It was a waste of my gas, a waste of my time, and a waste of my energy! How are you out of glazed donuts at 10 AM in the morning when that's like a number one seller it's just so odd and weird!! I immediately deleted the app once I got home and would never spend any money with them! Bad customer service is a not for me an especially if the manager doesn't make it right. I would have loved to just get my donuts since I waited forever, but when she came back to me saying oh you want refund where's your card.....yeah just give me my money back cause I'm not about to play these games. Didn't get our order right. As someone who lives in Central Texas and has a Shipley's on every corner I expected the same service and quality. The food was okay about the same. Service was slow. The staff was nice but slow. Restaurant was clean and brightly light but it's a new building. Get quicker and better. read more

This location definitely does not reflect my previous experiences at Shipley. Poor quality, bad service, and on multiple occasions our order was not able to be complete due to lack of products(donuts and kolaches). Contacted the corporate office and they sent me a nice letter with a coupon for a free donut, which I refused to go back for. We can only hope this place can get it right, but with no QC for the products and service, we have moved on to better doughnuts. read more

If I could rate zero stars I would. Literally might be the worst glazed and blueberry donut I've ever had. Same level if not worse than buying donuts at a grocery store. $6 not well spent. Also the kolache wasn't good either but not as terrible as the donuts. read more

When back today to see if this location has improved but they have not so I will no longer go here. The donuts were hard, cold, and crunchy. I had them make me some fresh donuts which told 25 mins. Rude staff the big angry girl at the counter inside was on her phone eating the donuts meanwhile she's telling customers they should have gotten there earlier to get a donut?
