Front counter customer service was shitty. The gentleman that was working the front counter got annoyed because I only wanted 2 glazed donuts then proceeded to even get more annoyed because I wanted to do split payments. When I told I no longer wanted the donuts because of his attitude he try to play it off and say he was joking. All I wanted was 2 glazed donuts for me and my client to share when I went to her house this morning. read more

Very enthusiastic staff!, the guy who took our order was funny and got our order perfect.

I've never had a donut from Shipleys that is the consistency of Krispy Kreme's donut until I came to this one. They don't even compare to the ones that towerPoint makes, they always taste fresh warm and soft. Here they're cold stiff and literally not what I ordered. Man up front that stares at me with a blank expression gave me the wrong donut. And the kolaches are always crunchy and crisp. Who the hell wants that. I've given up on this location. Only good thing about this store is one of the guys in the drive thru. Guy it's always kind. read more

'It's best when it's fresh!!' Words from my daughter. We've visited Shipleys in College Station (this location in particular) for more than 25 years. YUM! A fresh glazed donut melts in your mouth. I'll eat a glazed fresh or not so fresh. ;). My husband loves the cinnamon twist. I love the chocolate cream filled. Environment always feels clean. read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - Fresh, hot glazed. And a cinnamon twist. - Donuts Near Me - College Station, Texas

See all

One of the best kept secrets of College Station is Shipley's Donuts. Their classic glaze has been perfected at its given style and price. The dough is fluffy and aerated, creating a nice spring-back feel after each bite. The glaze is not too thick or thin, leaving a light sweet taste. Of course this doesn't compare with places like Blue Star Donuts in Portland which uses special European flour and elevated glazes to create a personality for the donuts; Shipley's is simple, straightforward, classic American flavors at its best. read more

Black older male worker is very rude and passive aggressive. Not sure if he was having a rough day, but he was very rude toward me. All I wanted was some donuts, which where good but worker killed my mood. read more

They're donuts, folks. Decent cold, better fresh out the oven. The kolaches are okay, but the donuts are where it's at.

When I am in College Station I always stop for my fix of Shipley's! Donuts are light and fresh and yummy! I buy all types for my co workers but my favorite is a light and airy chocolate frosted with walnuts! Omg it never even makes it out of the parking lot. Buy two to give yourself a fighting chance! I never had a Kolache before I went to Texas. It's dough wrapped around something sweet or savory. I always get the kind with spicy sausage and cheese or ham and cheese or just sausage! They are consistently good and they are inexpensive. Cheap actually. Coffee is always fresh. Go early they sell out fast. Dang I could go for that donut right now!! read more

Black coffee smelled like a dirty restroom so I didn't even taste it Over charged me 5 dollars Gave me a late wen asked for orange juice And there was a bug in my donut bag so again didn't eat it Do they even get inspections done ?? Wtf I was really surprised to have such a bad experience Definitely not coming back SMH read more

I'm not sure why other people have rated this so low because I thought the donuts were great. We got Bavarian cream, original glazed, and cake donuts. The cake donuts did not blow me away, but the others were very good read more

I love shipleys but since when did they stop having warm fresh donuts, everytime I go there always cold.

One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been to! Staff were super friendly and donuts were good, bust most impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen and eating area. read more

Since when did they skimp on the sausage kolaches? You have three times the amount of bread than sausage. Guess I'm going to the Chinese donut place. We order mixed donut but only got glazed donuts. Service wasn't that great today. Before it was always good. But haven't been there in about a year the lady had to keep going fixing my order but it isn't still right. This use to be good. Now it isn't what it use to be. read more

If you're looking for a crispy, melt in your mouth donut, look no further than the classic glazed donut offered at Shipley's. I come here very often and am always treated well by the staff. If I could choose only one kind of donut to enjoy for the rest of my life, Shipley's would win hands down! Never been so satisfied with a donut in my whole life read more

There's a few different styles of donuts -- in Texas, people are mostly famililar with the Krispy Kreme/Shipley debate. To me, there's no debate b/c they're totally different. Krispy Kreme is like a fancy treat -- perfectly shaped, perfectly iced, etc. But Shipley's? I forget the amazingness in their soft simple glazed donuts (as long as they're warm when eaten) -- it tastes like home. But the best? THEIR KOLACHES. Maybe I don't have the sophisticated palate needed for "real" kolaches (like from Czech towns and all), but hands DOWN these beat out Kolache Rolf's, Lone Star Kolaches here in Austin -- just about anywhere else I've tried. I think it's their dough that's sweet-ish-but-not-really (like unsweetened donut dough?) and I'm a fan of their breakfast sausage/hot-dog inside; the pefectly melted cheese; and the whole-sliced jalapenos are awesome. Jeez, Austin needs to get some Shipley's here, Georgetown is way too far. read more

A good glazed doughnut is a beautiful thing. And Shipley has that beautiful thing nailed down. While I am a huge fan of the ethereal sugar-glazed meltaway that is a warm Krispy Kreme, I can absolutely appreciate the Shipley's doughnut, which is substantial and heavy in the mouth and demands to be consumed with black coffee. Chew me, you fool! Sadly, not as sold on their kolaches. We tried them out and decided to stick with Rolf's. read more

Way out west in Southern California, it's hard to find great doughnuts though I would be eager to wager that it would be harder to find better doughnuts than Shipley's ANYWHERE! These do-nuts are grenade sized puffs of sugary perfection. whether they are pumped full of custard or cream or dipped in chocolate, there are few better ways to start your day than with a dozen or so of these bad boys. The buttermilk cake do-nuts and devil food cake do-nuts are my favorites and there have been days I've woken up back home in LA, in a sweat, visions of Shipley's do-nuts dancing around my head. Krispy Kreme, Dunkin, Winchels - these places do not come close to Shipley's. read more

I appreciate the reply by Shipley's. Not sure what HIPAA has to do with anything, as it's related to the privacy act in the healthcare industry. However, thank you for reaching out. read more

Dear Shipleys, Short note to staff cause I have warm glaze on my other hand, kudos to the good donuts. read more

Loved the place . The staff is very helpful and welcoming . It's in small town and mostly crowded. Donuts are fresh and taste good

Pigs in a blanket were a horrible choice. It should be kind of hard to mess these up. The flavor was horrible. It was like they objected cheese sauce into the bread. It was like i got a roll that had a sausage in it with some cheese sauce. I won't be back. Gross. The service wasn't the best. They were just indifferent. read more

This place has nothing but donuts. No bagels. No muffins. Just donuts. But they do them well, and they are very cheap with fast service. It is just a takeout place. read more

Shipley Do-Nuts - From across the street - Donuts Near Me - College Station, Texas

The girls there were rude. They were also not able to clearly communicate which kinds of donuts they had. While I was waiting for a cashier a man came in after going through the drive-thru to find out what they ACTUALLY had. I got a creme filled donut that did not have filling. It also kind of tasted like nail polish or acetone. Not impressed. read more

If your trying to start your Saturday morning off on a positive note, I suggest NOT GOING TO SHIPLEYS ON SOUTHWEST PARKWAY. I grew up in CS and always loved this location but I don't know where the smiling faces & nice employees went. The drive thru employee can't even greet me properly, I just get a stare and straight face as I smile and list my order. Then I get handed a bag, say thanks with a huge smile only to get then window shut with no response then I realize my donuts were left out. I then go inside and ask a male employee for the donuts that were left out of my order. I don't get ONE WORD from this guy either. He hands me my bag, I say thank you with a smile and NOTHING. This is just sad. After all the years, I won't be coming to this location again. read more

Listen.. these aren't just donuts. This isn't krispy kreme. This isn't dunkin. This is REAL STUFF RIGHT HERE fr. They're better hot but they're great any way. They just melt in your mouth dude. The filled donuts and the fruit kolaches are top notch, but a classic glazed definitely won't do you wrong. If you know, you know. read more

Good donuts but not the best i've had. They are better than Dunkin of course but not a place I will visit unless I have to. Service isn't the best, they weren't willing to cut in half a Kolache when we asked for a knife, they said they didn't have any. I was disappointed bc I believe in customer service and small restaurants. read more

I love Shipley's but this location gave terrible service today. The closer closed early today without posting anything on the drive through. The employee inside walked by me at the drive through window 4 times getting a box of donuts ready for someone else. He never came to the window and I sat there for 8 minutes. I just drove off eventually. read more

Shipley's is the best place to find delicious, cheap , melt in your mouth pastries. They have a fast drive through, and are very inexpensive. If you have never had a Kolache they are a must try. I promise they will not disappoint. read more

Delicious donuts, and a friendly welcoming face equals a repeat customer. Highly recommended.

Yummy donuts and donut holes. I grew up in Amish country in PA and thought I knew which donuts were the best. I don't know if it's the humidity, the altitude, etc. but these donuts are lighter and fluffier than PA donuts and are heavenly. They are cheap but good, and very fast. read more

My go to place for donuts in College Station. Dependable and has a lot of good options to choose from.

Shipleys is da bomb. Everyone knows that but I have to give them serious props for keeping up with customers demands and serving Kolaches later into the day. Used to they would be out by 1030 or 11 but now if you want to wait 30 mins in the drive through you can get them well after noon! Well done shipleys. Well done. I know they can't control people taking forever to place an order but there is usually always a wait. No biggie! read more

I always love this location! The manager is always super friendly and the staff is nice too. I can call ahead and have my favorite donuts saved until I have the chance to get in. I always appreciate that and she offers that to all of her customers! Thanks for being a part of my morning routine. I love the donuts! read more

I mean great donuts and all, but I got there at 11 AM and they were out of EVERYTHING: donut holes, chocolate glazed, strawberry glazed, you name it read more

Best Donuts in College Station. They have awesome yeast (regular) donuts, great filled donuts, and this is the only place I'll ever get cake donuts from- their are the best. read more

Best Do-nuts in the Bryan/College Station. They serve them hot and fresh. The only place in town I will go to now.

I have been to a lot of donut places and most of them have the same pigs i blanket. This place had a completely different kind. They were absolutely disgusting. They were a big mistake to choose. I'm sure they have better stuff but I'm not gonna find out. The service was alright. I mean they weren't super nice but weren't rude either. They were just "meh". read more

Worse services ever... I ordered a dozen cinnamon sugar donut. When I got to school and I opened it, they have me 4 cinnamon sugar, and the rest were icing with cinnamon. The next morning I brought that box with me to the store and tell them. They said it was cinnamon sugar, cuz it melted so it looked like that... Seriously???? I told them look at the icing on the top of the donut. Then they said u should have called me yesterday... Lol... Speechless... Never come back here again..EVER.... read more
