I love that you see a diversity of ages and families in the church. Services start with a time of worship- very contemporary with lights, screens to see the words, etc. Senior pastor David Chadwick preaches from the Word of God. And then the service closes with another worship song. The Southpark campus pastor, Jonathan Scott is also awesome and will preach when David is away, etc. The church has small groups called "Life Groups" and you can get connected at any time, but check the website for "Life Group Connect" where you can meet all the life group leaders and get plugged into a group immediately. There is a wonderful children's ministry during the service and middle school/high school meet Sunday nights for what is called "Advance" If you are visiting or new to the church, stop by the info booth and they will answer any questions you have.

Our community of friends are associated with Forest Hill through our life group and we will be co-leading a new life group in a few weeks, something we are very excited about. When it comes to elements of value, the teaching is gospel-focused, intentionally grounded in the bible, and completely God-centered. The worship is reverent, fun, talented, and God-focused. There is a real sense of love for God and a desire for authentic community. Two things my wife and I must have in our choice of a local spiritual family. If you are curious about faith and want to learn more about the truth Christianity claims, Forest Hill is a great place to start that journey.

My daughter is really interested in learning to read and always bugging me to "work on words" like her big brother so I had to move her this year, they are really play based and dont want to work on anything advanced for fear of pushing them. I agree, dont push them, but if you have a child that WANTS it I believe in differentiated learning and taking advantage of a chance to teach whenever the child shows interest in it. My older son? No way, he wasnt ready at that age and I wouldnt want him pushed, but my daughter wanted it and wasnt getting it. So I say its a wonderful place for the younger ones for play based learning. But if you have a go getter thats looking for more it may not be perfect spot. But I loved those teachers and my daughter did too so I thank them for a great year!
