Finally ready to leave a review. I randomly googled this place up a few months back and these pictures and post was from my 5th visit! Thats goes to show how impressed i was to keep going back. Previously i had always preferred to bring my car for hand car washes as i've had some bad experiences before going through auto washes before at other businesses. But after i noticed that they barely vaccum properly inside .. and didn't even wash my matt's properly even though i paid extra .. i was like mehhh i need to find a different place. Which led me to Shine Auto Wash, closer to home and prices online seemed budget friendly for the various options. But shockingly the spontaneous wash i made out to shine auto wash gilley location back in May it was pretty impressive. They do have other locations listed online if Burnaby isn't exactly close to you. There was 6 splotches of bird poop in diff areas and the wash really moved it all. I chose the platinum wash .. which after taxes was about $31.50. I love how the place is 24 hours and there's always a guy working to give you a reminder of the instructions of how to prepare for your turn to go through the wash once you choose your self serve option when you first drive in! Though i have to admit i noticed on my front window there's a few scratches but it's light!!! which happened during my most recent visit on friday aug 9th ... hmmm hopefully it disappears! bc read more

Do NOT bring your car here, they will deny responsibility if anything gets damaged. Wiper blade arm broke, they denied responsibility even though they said they had video of when it snapped near the end of the wash. Came by for a free car wash (free for the month of November 2015). This place is absolutely monstrous. The building looks so sharp and modern that it could easily be used in movies. Just the drive out to look at the building complex is worth it. The original location (Terminal) must be ridiculously profitable if the owners can build this new location. There are also several bays for detailing and vacuuming. The lineup was about 30 minutes the day I went, though I would imagine this would die down after the grand opening month. As Amy T. mentioned, I can't figure out why the entrance has 3 separate queues for the cars when the lines merge into the same car wash line anyways. The system pushes one's car along with a chain driven roller system. One thing to note is that there are 2 metal guides (slightly wider than an average tire) along the entire car wash that the wheels will be dragged against. This means that vehicles with dual real wheels (common on pickups) probably won't be able to use the facilities. Also, anyone with rims where the spokes stick out past the tire is going to get them trashed. The system is all automatic. Once the tire catches, just sit back and enjoy the show. It's pretty neat listening to all the thumping and whirring as one's windows get completely covered in soapy suds. I would recommend closing off your air vents, as the smell of soap actually got a bit too strong. A few minutes later, my car was clean, shiny, and ready to go. Afterwards, I took a look to see how good the wash was. While they did a good job on the sides, there was still dirt on the rear (license plate indent), as well as both my side mirrors (glass). In addition, the dried bird poop on the roof of my car was only about 90% removed. In other words, while this wash may be quick and mostly decent, it's no substitute for the bucket and garden hose. Absolutely love this car wash and think it has great value. I usually go for the $13 Silver wash and find that is perfect for my Equinox. I buy two tokens for the vacuums at the same time as the wash. Two tokens is enough to fully vacuum the car and mats. There is a staff member who aligns your wheels with the track and tucks your mirrors in if you chose to do so. You're done within minutes and bam, clean car! There is also a location in Coquitlam near Ikea but they don't have vacuums there so I'm not as big of a fan. read more

Great place that's open 24/7! My car needed a nice bubble bath after the snowy weather. There are various tiers that you can wash your car depending on whether you wanted an extra coat of shine. Prices start at $8 (includes taxes)for basic wash and dry with the highest price at $18. There's a lineup but it seems to go by fast. There are 3 rows to lineup at. You pay first by cash or credit card. Select the options you want. There were several high end luxury cars here getting a wash too. You just put your car in 'neutral' as you go through the wash. I had the basic which you can see there's a decent amount of soap. There are attendants there assisting you to help you align the car. There is a separate area where there are vacuums available with at least 6 separate stations. I'm impressed as the place is fairly new and clean. It's located off Gilley and Rumble street. No more than a 10 minute drive from Metrotown mall. I will be back! read more

Me and my brother came here in the middle of the night, practically midnight to do what anyone does at a car wash.... get their car washed! This was the first time I came to this location, as I have been to the one at Terminal and I was expecting the same, off the side of the road brightly lit car wash, what I didn't expect was the size of this place. Have you ever been to the Peace Arch in the middle of the night, it had that feel, well lit, thinking I was at a border crossing with separate gates to enter. When you come through here the first thing you notice is a big storage depot that is tied in with the main property, also on the side there are separate bays to do your own vacuuming to your vehicle. It is odd how you loop into the main conveyor belt car wash, on this night two touch screen self serve machines were working, and after you choose your washing package (from basic to everything with the wax) you go in one by one, kind of like merging from West Van to the Lions Gate Bridge to make your final loop to the entrance to the car wash. When you get there the lone attendant leads you onto the track that pulls your vehicle, also looks over your call and advises if the side mirrors need bending in, and anything (like wipers) need to be taped down. Eventually you are in neutral and pulled along for the ride. From the foaming in the beginning, to the multitude of soft swirly brushes that engulf your car to the massive high powered blowers that sound like jet engines to blow all the water off your car, this is definitely not your classic style attached to the gas station type wash. When you come out, it wasn't 100% clean... but for a wash, and one that is touchless (or as it claims) it wasn't a bad job, some parts on the back around the license plate still had grime but what can you expect unless something or some brush was getting into those cracks. I needed to use my GPS to find this place, but it is not too far from Kingsway, just not right on it for you to find. If you are in for something quick, don't really care too much (anal) as to it being 100% clean but definitely presentable no matter what the hour of the day is, this place is for you and your 4 wheel'd machine. read more

[Clean in 60 Seconds] Over the past few weeks, I've heard the countless radio ads for free car washes for the entire month of November. How convenient! My car was bespeckled with tree sap, bird excrement, coated with a fine layer of dust and dirt. I was surprised at how big and modern the place looked. It was a Tuesday evening around 8pm and there were roughly 25 cars ahead of me in line. Greeaaat... I had plenty of time to kill but was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it went. 20 minutes later, it was my turn. Because it was free, the basic wash is all you get. This is one of those conveyor belt car washes with the giant spinning brushes - not touchless. Personally, I prefer these as I find they do a better job getting the dirt and grime out. The "brushes" here were made a soft silicone so it didn't feel like my car was taking a beating. After an entire minute, the wash was done. It was quicker than any other car wash I've been to so I had to do some quality control. It seemed to have done a decent job getting the dirt off but the rinse cycle was sub-par. There was leftover soap suds in various hard-to-reach places like under the spoiler or in the side mirrors. There goes my new bottle of water. Also, the car was only half dry upon exit. It's really hard to complain when it was free. Hopefully, they were just cutting back for the promotion because I'd be an unhappy camper if I had paid for it. This location for Shine Auto Wash is HUGE. What I don't understand is their line system which starts with 3 separate rows and then it merges into 1 inside the car wash. Why not just make it 1 line? Maybe it saves space? The price is under $8 per car wash and they advertise on their high tech filter capabilities to reuse the water. Took my car through and it came out 95% shiny. The only part that wasn't cleaned entirely was the back, but that's really hard to do for any touch-less car washes. read more

When I got the flyer in the mail advertising Free wash all November, Bonus!!! We came to check it out one night. Lines were long about 20-30 minutes wait. Well organized place and helpful staff. Very nice facility. The actual carwash itself was ok, we didn't really get rinsed, when we were in the dying section and we were still very soapy. I've always wanted to try this place out since it opened back in 2015. Last week, I needed to use their service for the first time because my car got hit with a waterfall of brine solution from a deicing truck while I was driving to work in the morning. I normally wash my car at home, but I couldn't do it because of the cold temperature for that day, so I had to urgently use their service. Once you enter the car wash, there are four line-up lanes and it doesn't matter what lane you choose to line up as you pay at the automated pay booth which is located near the entrance. I choose the Gold Car Wash for 15 dollars which does undercarriage wash. What worries me is that how does the car wash know that I paid for the Gold car wash because I did not receive a receipt or any ticket to show that I paid for the Gold car wash? Is there a machine that scans your license plate after you pay and right before the car wash? It would be better if each driver received a receipt with the amount paid with the type of car wash. It wouldn't be fair if someone paid for the basic Bronze car wash and they ended up getting all of options for the Gold car wash. The most expensive option is the platinum car wash with the lava foam, but when I went through my Gold car wash, the lava foam light was on and I saw coloured lava type foam going on my car! At the end, my car was clean, but not super shiny clean and there were some soap suds on the windshield wipers. I felt that my car dealership's automated car wash drive through does a better job cleaning the exterior of my car. read more

I have been here a handful of times with absolutely no issues....until today. I could feel my drivers side rim scrapping the side of the track that pulls the wheels thru the carwash... I knew IMMEDIATELY that something was wrong... even the attendant seemed alarmed but did nothing to help or stop the carwash for me This continued until I got to the end of the wash. This is where the car would normally just ease off and the driver would simply put the car back into drive and drive off... This place is MASSIVE in comparison to it's sister store on Terminal Ave!! They have it down to a science! It almost looks like a space station haha The price for the car wash is great. Worst car wash ever! The employee must be mentally ill, he was extremely aggressive screaming at me saying "leave it!!" over and over I was so confused leave what? the brake? the steering wheel what? He wouldn't explain anything just kept yelling and saying insulting things I kept asking for instructions but he wouldn't explain just kept screaming, if there was room to turn around and leave I would have.. Extremely aggressive and rude employe watched me take the time to clean out the little items from my truck let me drive through to the payment area and while I was paying came up banging on the side of my truck yelling at me about the 40lb table that was tied down to the bed.. and then I called the manager over and he just backed up the little jerk and told me nope you can't go through when I said the guy banging on my truck was an asshole to the manager and this place is bullshit. I've been many times now, the attendants are pretty great at fixing any mishaps. A couple of times I've added the extra soap and left after the drying etc still with soap on my vehicle. As like everyone else, I came in for the free car wash at around 830 PM on a weekday night. It was PACKED and we waited 30 minutes, but what do you expect when its for free? The place is huge and it also looked like there was a storage facility associated with the car wash. What's good is that its a continuous line, not a stop and wait for the car ahead of you sort of deal. It isn't a no touch car wash which is what some people want, but I thought it was pretty cool with all fancy lights and different soap colors. The only thing is when I checked my car post wash at home, it wasn't cleaned FULLY. For the most part it was but there were still some significant spots not washed. Probably the cheapest and most efficient touch car wash in town. There are 2 locations as of August 2016. East Van on terminal which I frequent often and one in burnaby which is the newest and opened up last year. For 8 bucks it gets the job done. However if your car is extremely dirty or you have bird poo stuck up you may need to get the best wash. Small tip because they go through volumes of cars, I would not bring your 100k+ car there as their touch rags are known to scratch Polish your paint (not chip or dent but you'll see a buffed finish on your car coat). read more

I've been here four or five times trying different levels of car wash. Mostly I've been happy, except one time it left a weird film on my car which sort of "peeled" off. This time when I got out to fix my mirror I noticed all kinds of soap suds still left on one side of the car, and all around the windshield wiper area. UPDATE 12/28/2015 Came back here for a paid $8 car wash after driving in snow and mud in the interior and Highway 1. I thought the wash was going to be as clean as the free one in November. The paid car wash doesn't offer any rainbow foam, just regular white foam. Also, I didn't realize until after looking at their website that the underside of the car wasn't washed (that costs appx an additional $8). I am really disappointed with the wash as only the left side of the car was clean. I didn't check the car until I got home but the back and the right side of the car was still very dirty. I don't think I'll be coming here again. Back to washing my car by hand. ------ Free car wash for all of November. They used the rainbow foam on our car. Car came out super clean even after not washing since Vancouver put in the water controls from the summer! The whole process takes 2.5 mins. Much longer than other crappy automatic car washes. They also have a wheel cleaner that follows your rims which came out sparkling! We used to live in California where car washes were the only option due to droughts. You only get the rainbow wash if you pay for the premium wash. Basic wash was usually around $10usd w white foam, which wasn't as good. Don't think I'll wash my car at home anymore. Got a promotion card in mail for this new car wash place. We went today and impressed by the facility. Morden and sleek. We don't do auto car wash very often, so it was a fun experience for me. The whole process was fast. The result is decent. The general areas are clean. But tough dirt such as dead bugs from summer still stayed. However, to be fair, the bug stain was from summer since the water ban. So I'm generally happy with what I got from the wash. Hard to reach places are still dirty, such as around the wheels and beneath the doors. One thing I noticed is that the windows are very nice and clean. Not sure it was because I had used rainMX before, the widows are like newly treated. Rain waters were rolling off nicely. I would go back for quick car wash. I've been going to them to get my SUV cleaned and washed. There was never any issues. The Racks I got was professionally installed and won't adjust or move out of place. Now the annoying part is, just cause some donkey don't know how to install their racks properly, they don't accept any cars with installed racks anymore. Clearly my roof rack will never come off unless it's unscrewed and key to uninstall; but this place won't take my SUV to pass through. The amount and size of the car wash machine is huge, you'd think they would have a better technology to not destroy cars with their attachment and perhaps damage. I have used this car wash station 4 to 5 times since last year. Loved the placep, very competitive price, and good result. I went here today around 11:00am for a car wash due to a very beautiful day. As usual, i followed all the instructions, put in neutral, let the track move my car. When we were at the middle of the process, my steering wheel started turning, we were off the track, my car was moving toward to the spinning equipment, no emergency stop made by the stuff, my car was way off the track, the track was keep moving, the car behind me hit my car, the cover of the spare tire was damaged. The car behind me got damage too. Finally, the process stoped by the staff, they helped me make adjustment and get back to the track. They mentioned that maybe because of your tires. I don't know what does that mean. I got back to the track, but it was off the track again. After this incident, I went to the office. Staffs were ok, but they keep telling stories about previous incidwnts caused by customers and 99 percent accidents were caused by stupid customers. Claim form submitted. Finger crossed, hopefully the owner treats this incident fairly and not put shit on customer's head. Questions: where is the emergency stop button, were sensors working ok? Who was monitoring the process? When a car is off the track, why the process was not stopped effectively so an accident could be avoided? Why asked me try to get back to the track again when staff realized their might happen again due to tires? What was the communication plan and emergency plan? You should not tell me your previous incidents to make it sounds likes this was caused by the customer again. I have noticed that this similar incidents have happened recently. The owner never respond any of this incidents. The owner or the staff sitting in front of the computer only replied and thanked good reviews. This is your company cultural thing? P.S. I went through the car wash on April 20, 2020, while we went through one of the machines hit the gas cover door and it popped open, then it was torn off. I had one of the onsite people retrieve the part. I contacted Shine Auto Wash to advise them that it would have to be completely replaced as it was damaged beyond repair. The owner gave me some song and dance on how it was only our brand of car and we should follow-up with the manufacturer. I did, the manufacturer checked their records, no recall orders, no complaints from other owners of this vehicle, so not a manufacture's problem. I advised Shine Auto Wash and requested reimbursement for the cost of repair in the amount of $203.67. Shine Auto Wash has refused maintaining that it has nothing to do with them. Cheap and quick place to go as they are open 24/7. Its not bad for the price your paying - prices range from $8 to $18 depending on what you type of cleaning services you need done. If you have a black car then you'll see some spots that the machine misses but that is just common for any black cars when you go to anywhere else. read more

I took my truck through got back to my office and noticed it was still dirty. I went right back and told the employee and he said that they would have to review the video, I said just come and see my truck you will see that it is still dirty and as I wiped my finger through the dust he could clearly see that it was still dirty. I said I just want to go through again I don't want my money back. He said the manager would have to approve and he is not here, he took my number and it has been over a week and I have heard nothing.
