Understaffed. Waited 1.5 hours to get my car washed on a Tuesday. Also, the place is hardly appealing to be in for all that time.

Archipelago is a full service car wash. Conveniently, Open at 9am every day. Jerry and crew clean inside and out, from door crevices to the trunk. Some reviews that say they do a poor job because they missed a spot. Just show them and they'll take care of it. They're human. Communicate with them. Never had an issue with service here. read more

The guys who work here are very good with detail and are quick considering its 5 people on one car. If you could see my tire rims before it was totally black, they are shiny again! For my small SUV inside and out total with tax was $40 . It's true, they did not ask me if I wanted the car mats done, they just did them for $2 each. I luckily did want them done, but I'd prefer if they asked. Entrance is not on Marine, but the alley behind. There is a sitting lounge with a few modern couches and magazines. Don't waste your time here. Went on Sunday morning when was empty. The guy looked at my car and based on a 3 sec assessment of the drivers side floor mat told my cars was too dirty inside and he would charge me extra $20 for cleaning. Told me to go across the street to Husky car wash !Looks like they prefer to wash clean cars only so they can do the bare minimum. read more

I've been going here for almost a year now. It's location good for me living in Marpole. They do a really good job each time and they are efficient. I recommend this place immensely. I go about once a week. They have these ongoing promotions and I am on a 6 months unlimited wash. read more

Think twice before you buy their membership if you want to get a decent wash. They used to clean cars quite thoroughly, but now they do not bother to clean the inside of windshield, the underbody, and any spots which they think it's irrelevant. The customer's lounge is just a joke. Like somebody mentioned here earlier, the TV in the lounge is either turned off intentionally or simply does not work, and sofas looks like something from the junkyard. If they get busy, they will even do a rougher job. After cleaning, they never move the seats back to its original position so you have to duck back into your car. The owner seems like he focuses on selling every poor service he had for making more money rather than doing a good job for what you already have in their service. read more

The good - My car is clean and shiny. $28 for wash and vacuum for a sedan sized car. The bad - I got charged extra to have my floor mats cleaned. $14 surcharge. Overall, with tax and tip I spent over $50 to have my car washed and vacuumed. I was not expecting an extra charge for the floor mats, nor was I given an option. This price is not listed on the outside of the business when you pull up and see the fee schedule. I would have appreciated a warning or at least the option. The mats are supposedly $2 each, but they charged $6 for the large trunk mat, which is probably the easiest mat to clean as it has no grooves. So an extra $14 for my mats. A bit of a ripoff. I was never charged for the mats with the previous owner. I liked the place that was here before. Mr. Shine had good service and a very friendly owner who was personable and cared about your experience, even if the staff looked like convicts (but they were very nice). This new place is no nonsense, no character, nothing but business. Instead of a friendly greeting when I was beckoned to the counter to pay I got a lecture about how my car needs a full shampooing service to get the dog hair out. Thanks, buddy. Nice way to upsell. And by the way, it's an extra $14 for your mats. Did they do a good job? Oh yeah, for sure. My car was hella dirty and there were up to 5 people working on my car at any given time. So yes, they got the job done. The interior of the shop is clean and stark. There is a waiting room with a few chairs and a massage chair (coin operated). Gone is all the sports memorabilia that gave the place character before. The staff barely made eye contact and only one person smiled at me when I smiled at them. So, you can come here if you want the job done, no fuss. Beware the mark ups, though. At least my car is finally clean. read more

I can't attest to these other reviews...but my experience was pretty damn good! I was there to get my car cleaned before a family wedding and these guys were amazing. They cleaned EVERYTHING!! I mean every little crevice. I was pleasantly surprised. About the waiting...well I just dropped it off and left. I came back the next day. So I wasn't under a time crunch. I swear, my car looked brand new...my rims were cleaner than I had seen them in a long time. I am definitely going back. Only cons? It's pricey...but worth it to go twice a year. Also, a little too pushy when trying to sell their weekly package. I'll probably go back after the summer. Ending note: still astonished about how clean they got it. For real. read more

If you are the kind of person that likes to spend twice as much as you should only to get poor quality in twice the time than it should, well then this is the place for you. I brought in a 2 month old Tundra, spent $50 to have them do a lousy job on the windows, mirrors, wheel wells, and bed. I pulled into the back and they were pre-washing the car in front. I was thinking this wasn't going to take too long. It was a full hour which I'd have an easier time swallowing if only they had done a decent job. When I complained they said I could mention it the next time I come in and probably get a discount. No thanks. read more

Went there yesterday after another (closer) car was told me they were too busy. Kings Auto did a great job on my car, pricing is good and easy to understand. Waiting room's tv couldn't be turned on and the furniture looks like it was purchased at a flee market. EDIT: I'm knocking this down a star because I just realized that they did not remove my kids booster seat and vacuum under it. It looks like a pack of chipmunks was living under there eating chips and everything else. The seat was not attached, it's easily removable. It should have been taken out and vacuumed under it. Lesson learned: I'll still go back, but remove the seat myself. read more

They do an ok job cleaning the cars but are extremely slow and it is always busy. It usually takes at least 1 hour to get through so I would not recommend and membership. It has really gotten busy and gone down hill read more

Please, Please, for all that is holy...DO NOT GO HERE!!! 2 days ago, I went in to have my interior shampooed and detailed. My husband gave me this for Christmas. I was aware that it would take about 3 hours to do. It took almost 4 hours and when I went to drive away, I was told (in VERY broken english) that I needed to keep the heaters on for the next 2 hours in order to dry the carpets and seats. So, I drove around for a couple of hours. Then I went home and sat with the car running for another 2 hours with the heat on high. The seats were still not dry. I gave up on trying to dry everything. Today, I folded all the seats down and realized that there was a lot of soap residue under the seats, and the trunk was STILL wet. So, I went BACK to the store in order for them to fix the carpeting. The guy in charge told me that the next time I come back, he'll fix the residue. I said "I'm here now, please fix it." He said that he's too busy and he can't, can I come back tomorrow? I have things to do tomorrow. Why not fix it now? Nope, he's too busy. So I went and vacuumed as much of the residue off as I could, but it's still there. and the trunk is still wet. Oh, and as an FYI, they washed the outside of my car too, but missed all four wheels. read more

Not sure what the other poster means -- I've been going to Kings on Marine ever since they took over Mr.Shine and have always been happy. I've never been charged anything unless I asked for something extra. They're very fast & efficient, and I've always found them friendly. Their 3-month membership program is also a great deal since I like to get a carwash weekly. Sure the Mr.Shine owner was a nice guy, but these guys do a way better job on the wash too -- I'd highly recommend Kings. read more

Had my car washed and come out all scratched with swirl marks and deep cuts in 3 areas of my car. The owner denied any damages and says it's the owners responsibility. Owner's responsibility for you or your employee's doing!? Man up to and take responsibility this business is a joke do not go here. read more
