Popping in to say I had my six month check-up today and everything is looking great. I'm so happy with my results - my upgraded smile was worth every penny. For those wondering how Dr. Shin's office is handling safety during this time, you're able to see it all at the top of their Yelp page. I am loving that businesses are able to update these here, so I don't have to stalk their website and social media for important information. Once you arrive for your appointment, give the office a call or text and they'll let you know when you can come in. At the front door, you are prompted to knock first to be let in. Once inside, your temperature is taken and you are given hand sanitizer. Chairs in the waiting room are taped up to encourage social distancing. If you are considering Invisalign, I highly recommend Dr. Shin! Today marked my last official visit of my treatment and I have nothing but great things to say (clearly). After being asked to update my review - I did because half of my concerns were addressed. However after speaking with my dentist, it was brought to my attention that there are indents on my teeth from when the buttons from Invisalign were removed by Dr. Shin. I called shin Orthodontics and requested that Dr. shin contact me ASAP and set up a site visit next week with an office assistant. When he removed the glue from my teeth I was in pain and there was smoke coming out of my mouth. There was a high speed stone grinder being used all over my teeth. I will provide an update after I hear back from shin Orthodontics regarding how my damaged teeth will be restored because I was never notified of the sever damage that occurs from this procedure. read more

I've been with Shin Orthodontics for i would say little over 3 years. They are honestly the sweetest people and the doctors/nurses really care about each patient. I had a wonderful experience doing Invisilign with Dr.Shin. He was very attentive and thorough throughout the whole process. When one of my attachments came off the day before Thanksgiving he came into the office just to replace it for me. My teeth look great, and my TMJ pain is completely gone. I previously had orthodontia at another provider (15 yrs ago) and lost my retainer. I've also had some movement over the years and a few minor things I dislike about my smile, and was coming in hoping to get a new retainer so my teeth would stop moving. I was also hoping to get a 'tune up' of sorts, possibly invisalign or something to address the fact that my teeth are beginning to crowd again on the bottom. Dr. Debra came across as hostile from the first moment. I think she was angry that I was late (yes, it's on me for going to the wrong office but I did call and ask if I needed to reschedule, and the front desk said I could keep my appointment). After making comments about my tardiness, Dr. Debra pretty much brushed her hands and said "there's nothing I can do for you." Two dentists I had seen previously had felt there was room for improvement with the crowding and bite. At the very least I should've been able to arrange to purchase a new retainer. It felt really like she was refusing to work with me for my tardiness--again, that was on me, but if you don't want to work with people who have asked permission to be late, then make sure your front desk staff tells them to reschedule when they ask if they need to. Going elsewhere to get the replacement retainer. Awful experience. read more

Great service and very responsive! I was very nervous about getting braces but they made me feel at ease.

My son was recommended to get braces by his dentist, and when we asked where, he recommended we go to shin orthodontics. It has been over a year now since he first got braces and it has no been the best. When he first got his braces the staff were very kind, and made sure to let us know about everything. The only bad experience We had was when at first they did my sons braces wrong, and he couldn't open his mouth. Since then However some of the workers are very rude, and and my son has broken his brackets due to stuff as small as eating cereal, and brushing his teeth. I would not recommend shin orthodontics to anyone. read more

Service was not good when moving to a new state. Records were never sent to new ortho as promised. All we had left was to remove the braces and get fit for a retainer. We had already paid for everything. They were only willing to refund a very very small amount. We had to pay (again) to get braces removed and retainer at full price at our new orthodontist. We are upset that Shin was paid for the whole process and when we had to move, seemingly kept the money. read more

You always hear about the bad experiences about getting braces, but if I had to get braces again, I wouldn't mind going back to Shin Orthodontist. I had my braces for about a year and a half, and the experience was great. The staff was amazing. I had no issues making appointments or rescheduling. After my braces were removed, Dr. Shin rescanned my teeth since she didn't like how the retainers that was shipped turned out. She believed that they could've done a better job and didn't want any unforeseen issues down the road. She took the extra mile to make sure that I wouldn't run into any issues in the future and that shows a lot. They really care for their patients.
