i am a dentist myself and had decided to take our kids for ortho treatment close to my home in potomac. this office was the closest. when we arrived i noticed the waiting area was not well cleaned. first issue. after registering, they took us inside and a female that possibly was the office manager put the xrays we had from the pedodontist on the screen and without saying anything or explaining started taking some pictures from my son and then put us in what i call the sales room. this was the seond red flad. the orthodontist never came to see my son and do an exam. third flag. but he later came to the sales room a small glass room in the center of his office and started talking to us about upstairs and downstairs. he was not groommed and his eyes were red and he was not very coherent. fourth flag. i thought their office had other levels but sure enough he was talking about my sons jaw. he used the upstairs for upper jaw and downstairs for lower jaw. when me and kids mom asked some questions about the treatment, he got annoyed and said if we are both dentists why did we bring our son to him and didnt do the ortho ourselves. fifth flag then he finally said these conversations take only 10 minutes but he has been talking to us 15 minutes. frankly i dont know who is writting these reviews with 4 and 5 stars probably his cousins but this office is a sales office not a orthodontist office. demeanor is pretty nasty. we went to Dr. Chang in Shady Grove. best decision ever. read more

I nevertheless thought I would write a review, but I could not wait any longer about Rad orthotics! Drs. Mehdy and Dave Rad are the best! When I went in the office I had the best experience ever! I have never been to an dental office as friendly and professional as Dr. Rad's office. The office is very clean and they have the state of the art equipment and treatment! I am a correct patient of Dr.Mehdy Rad, and I am extremely happy with the resolution I am already seeing :) my confidence boost up to the sky! I used to smile before I got braces, but since I got my braces on I feel like I am a totally different person! I thought I was going to feel weird, I smile a lot more, I brag so much about my braces, I love them and what I love the most is the incredible results I see. Dr. Rad is a perfectionist, caring orthodontist, I really love that, he will not take my braces off until he feels there is nothing in his power he can to to make it a perfect smile!! Having had some bad experiences with previous orthodontists, I was nervous about heading back into the dentist yet again for more treatment. However, my fears were completely quashed after Dr. Rad sat down with me and my family to confidently reassure us that the treatment would be as simple and as painless as possible, and he was willing to create a payment plan that fit our budget. Not only has my Invisalign treatment has left me with virtually, perfectly straight teeth, I am left with a feeling of renewed confidence in the practice of orthodontia as whole. Dr. Rad is highly personable and always ensures that the patient is happy; he really cares about the patients concerns and needs. The dental workers there are especially friendly and thoughtful. Also, I really appreciate the scheduling personnel who work hard to find a time that works best for you, and send email reminders a couple days before the appointment in case you forget. For years my dentist implored me to see an orthodontist about my serious bite issues, which were grinding my molars into stubby nubs. I finally took her advice to see Drs. Rad at Rad Orthodontics in their Potomac office. I went in with low expectations and came out impressed in their confidence that they could fix my problems. One tooth extraction (serious bite issues!) and a year of Invisalign later, I am extremely impressed - not just with their abilities, but with their professionalism and that of all of the staff in the office. Friendly, helpful, and conscientious, they make it worth my while to drive a half hour from Virginia for a brief progress check every few months. And the results, which are not yet complete, are fantastic. I had braces as a teenager and wasn't enthusiastic about going through all of that again, but I did want to spare what was left of my molars. When I told my family what I was doing, everyone said, "But your teeth look fine!" Now they see the difference and understand why I went ahead with it. When I had reservations over having a tooth pulled, Dr. Rad spoke with me over the phone and answered all of my questions. He reassured me that this was the way to go, and the proof is in my smile. The whole Staff the Dr's tablemanners are highly personable and the timing makes it the most timely Dr's visits ever!!! I received orthodontic treatment with Dr. Rad for about 20 months. I was given the options of metal or clear braces. I was so happy to know that I had options!! Luckily it was not longer than 2 yrs because I was terrified at the idea of getting braces right before college. I never liked my smile so it was worth a shot. Rad Orthodontics makes teeth straightening as good as it gets. I'm an adult who got Invisiline Braces from them and could not be happier. They are prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes. The office staff greets me by name every time I visit. Their equipment and techniques are cutting edge. Dr. Rad takes time to explain his correction strategy, each time I am there, and shows me a digital image of how my teeth are moving into alignment. What a great doctor. Both my son and daughter are being treated by Dr. Rad, and we could not be more pleased. We were recommended by my wife's aunt, whose two daughters (now adults) also were treated by Dr. Rad and they could not speak more highly of him. We now know why. Our entire experience has been positive from day one. Both Dr. Rad's are truly professional and enjoy their job. Dr. David Rad is the doctor we see regularly, and he is always upbeat, treats the kids with respect. My oldest son has had Invialigns, and once you have paid for the cost of the series, that is it. They do not charge any additional fees for "fine tuning" at the end. Their pricing is competitive and reasonable. It clear that they want you to finish with the best smile possible and are willing to make sure that happens. Dr Rad is treating 3 of my kids who all have some similar and yet different issues. He is thorough and my kids think he is cool, which goes along way with teens. I came to Dr Rad for a second opinion and decided he was a better fit (closer to our home and his staff is so nice) and offered us a superior style bracket for virtually the same money. He utilizes the latest technology and when he was conferencing with an oral surgeon, made an audio/video file of the two doctors conversing and pointing to the xrays my son had taken. This is probably one of the best Orthodontist practice around. They look out for and take care of their patients. The staff and Doctors are awesome. Very good personalities and quality care. I have been using the invisiline and I like it. I also like the flexibility of the doctor as it related to my trwatment. I had to get a bridge and my teeth shifted slightly. They worked with me on this and now I am waiting for my new batch of invisiline. I was referred to Dr. Mehdy Rad to be evaluated for orthodontic work. The purpose of the treatment was to make room for an implant. Dr. Rad's practice is very professional, very efficient. The conversation with Dr. Rad was frank, to the point, with estimates provided to help make my decision. His recommendation actually lost him revenue, in other words, his recommendation wasn't financially motivated, rather it was the advice he thought would be best for me as the patient, for my case.
