These signs are plastered everywhere in the lobby! Welcome to Shilo Inn!

It's a shame that the lobby makes a guest want to flee, because the selectively updated room was very clean and comfortable. Updated flooring, paint, light fixtures and linen made it a welcoming room.

From the reviews my husband and I are blessed we only stayed one night. I told my husband I bet we got a good room. We was at the end of the hallway by the stairs. I can tell the couch in our room was new. The room was very large. The hotel towels need to be replaced. They did not have enough towels and the shower towels were not large enough. Someone had a dog that barked most of the morning. Guest with pets and guest without pets should ALWAYS Have separate rooms! Our room was clean as well!

Mildew and hair in shower.

You get what you pay for. Good price, standard room, no breakfast, weird smell in the halls. It did what it needed to do.

Would have been nice to be told when we checked in at 2:45 pm. that they we're running later than the 20 minutes we were originally told. So we'll be having a conversation about check in and out times. Yes, the cleaning crew has extra duties do to Covid-19. Not my problem! I was told check in is at 3:00 pm not 3:43. So waiting almost three quarters of an hour to get into our rental wasn't that bad. The grounds are awesome. Lots of cool plants. Chickens and Duck's running around. A couple awesome Dogs that are very friendly. Each T. H. is different but they all have BBQ'S. our bbq is a tad rusty inside but it look's usable. There used to be a Disc Gllf Course here but its been turned into an Event Space. I don't know when the change was made but I saw pics from 2018. The loft is a low ceiling and the bedroom is a little cramped but still pretty awesome for a T.H. The Bathroom is good sized. I was pleasantly surprised at it's size. I really like all the wood interior. Really charming. The Kitchen isn't huge but definitely Full Size. A 10 Gallon Hot Water Tank gives you about a 10 minute shower, so no lounging. Covid-19 is still among us so most of Oregon is still in lock-down. Most businesses are closed and there'll be No Fireworks this year but the weather is decent and were at the coast. Worth it! I needed this weekend. I just got laid off to join the 1 in 3 Americans who are unemployed currently. I'll take a siesta and get another J. O. B. So, for now, I'm going to enjoy this weekend with my family.

The Ashley Inn of Tillamook - Cozy lobby; loved the Halloween décor

After reading the many reviews cautioning against the Tillamook Inn, my partner and I booked a room…read moreat the Ashley for our two night trip to Tillamook. The room was fairly standard but definitely clean, and we enjoyed our stay. The actual room had the typical hotel fare. The floors were not carpeted, which I prefer (I can see that they are clean!). Our bed had the usual very thin blankets, but the front desk provided me with an extra when we asked. The room's heat and AC were very good. The room cooled and warmed quickly, and they don't lock the heat/AC like some places do. The amenities were a little sporadic. The pool was excellent (again, very clean) and there were towels by the poolside in case you forgot to bring yours down. The gym is small, and while it might be user error, the belt on the treadmill felt so loose to me that I opted to run outside rather than risk it. It was no great loss-- running along the farming backroads was absolutely lovely. The breakfast was... okay. On check-in, we were given a menu of 4-5 items to order from for the following morning. The burrito I received was small and there weren't really vegetarian options. I would caution folks that are considering this place for their breakfast that it is not a full continental or a buffet. This is a small place and the price is reasonable so I actually don't mind that the breakfast is the way it is, but because it is advertised I did come in with a different expectation. Staff were friendly, check in and out were easy, and the location is super close to the Tillamook Factory. There's a Fred Meyer across the street in case you forgot to pack something. Overall, a pleasant experience, and I would stay here again.

I'll start by saying that parking was plentiful, both front desk personnel we spoke with were friendly, and the lobby area as well as lobby restrooms were clean. Our room itself, although basic in décor, was very spacious and we thought the bed was very comfortable. We both run hot at night; the AC worked great to keep us sleeping well. I see a lot of complaints about the limited complimentary breakfast and having to walk down to pick it up yourself. We honestly didn't mind this. It was nice to have a breakfast included to save money and it was decent. Neither of us can have eggs, so we both opted for the english muffin; my husband just got butter with his, I got Nutella. They also have a coffee & hot tea station downstairs which was complimentary. My only gripe was that the elevator was non-operational. We were put on the 2nd floor, which meant carrying our shared 50 lb suitcase up 2 flights of stairs which was rather inconvenient. I have a shoulder/neck injury and my husband has bad knees, so this wasn't ideal. I definitely wish we were notified of this upon booking. Equally frustrating as upon check-out, we saw hotel cleaning staff using this "broken" elevator. Aside from the elevator problem, I thought this was a fine place to stay for a night or two. Ideally I'd rate this hotel a 3.5 star; 3 seems too low, so I'll leave 4.

I called the next morning to inform them of my horrific experience and they said they can not compensate me for my missed stay, and that the lock box twists not slides. What never heard that before. That is bull shiz they should've given better instructions a bunch of crap the receptionist was very unkind and deserves to lose her job. She hung up on me as well.... This place sucks!!!!

If you are above average weight, you might have a hard time moving around in the bathroom. The shower was small, leaking and hot water ran out fast! The parking was ridiculous at check in time. Our neighbor next door said the towing company had already been by three times since they checked in. Our tv did not work, a couple of other reviews on here said the same thing. At least the bed was comfortable enough although the mattress was ancient. It was a quiet night listening to the waves and to cool ocean air. Would have been nice to sleep in past 7am but the walls are thin and you can hear every word and breath. I felt like we were sharing our room with others. For the price we paid I would expect more.

The place was really cozy and they definitely made sure the theme matched the location (very coastal vibe). The room we book had a kitchen and the kitchen was fully equipped, so did not have to bring any of our own cookware/utensils/cups/plates etc. They also have a coffee Keurig machine with coffee pods, board games and beach towels that are located out by the lobby. They weren't joking when they said you won't have any phone signal/cellular internet out here. You have to be connected to their wifi. Also, parking is literally street parking, but we were always able to find a spot right next to our Inn. If you are wanting to find a quiet place to get away and remove yourself from the world (like literally cut off from internet/social media) come here! There is also a cafe right downstairs and across the street is a cute diner that serves food from breakfast, lunch to dinner.
