I get my eyebrows threaded and tinted every few months. In between those times I keep up with them myself. Today I decided to get them done simply because I was getting my lip threaded. Firstly, I sat in the chair and there was no welcome or question as to what I'd like done. The woman brushed my eyebrows (at which point I expected some sort of inquiry) but before I could even say anything she was cutting my eyebrow hair. After I felt the scissors (my eyes were closed) I stopped and said "can you please just keep the shape and only clean up the little extra hairs - especially on my left brow as it's thinner" She said "are you sure? this one looks thicker" and passed me the mirror. She had trimmed my brow hairs so short that I can't even fake a shape any more. My once thicker eyebrow was butchered. Not only are my eyebrows screwed but this woman was not even friendly. I didn't complain so I'm not sure how it would have been handled. There's no instant bringing back removed hair. I appreciate the working through covid so I remained polite and still tipped but I shall not be returning. read more

The service was really bad. The lady who did my eyebrows was so rude. She doesn't know how to do her job well. I asked her nicely to fix my eyebrows because she messed them up, but she said, "There is nothing to fix." When I was paying, I was waiting for her to ask if I needed a receipt, but she didn't. So, I said, "It's okay, I don't need a receipt." Her response was, "Okay, then what are you waiting for? You're done." That is very rude. I've been coming here for two years, and this is the first time I've encountered bad service. It was a crazy experience. The staff are rude. They don't greet their customers and look angry and mean. Not sure what was in the water here this go-around but the technician that I had was lazy, unprofessional, and combative. Every time I've come here, which is every six weeks for the past three years, I get the same thing: clean-up and shaping. For one, this woman laughed when I winced and she asked if I was ok and I responded yes but it hurts a little. I considered giving that some grace because everyone responds to discomfort in their own way; no harm, no foul. When she finished, she didn't hand me the mirror to check my brows before impatiently asking if I wanted witch hazel applied or not. When I asked for the mirror, she sighed as though it was the greatest inconvenience that I should be satisfied with my brows before I paid. The audacity of me, I know! Sure enough, she "cleaned up" but did not shape my eyebrows. When I asked her to shape them, I was specific about not wanting too much hair taken off and she barked back how she was supposed to shape them without removing more hair.... Now I said I didn't want *too much* taken off, which is not what she heard, clearly. But wait! There's more. I tilt back to allow her to continue and she tells me to hold on so that she can take a phone call. I sat there, dumb founded, while she chatted away with whoever was on the other end. When she finally got off five minutes later, I let her know that I was ready to leave. At no point did she apologize or even attempt to excuse herself before taking the phone call. Way to completely deteriorate a long-standing relationship. I won't be returning and I will be informing all of my friends who I've referred over the years of this experience. I went as a walk-in waited patiently for Radhika, right when I was about to sit down someone walked in, and I was informed they had an appointment that I needed to wait. So I waited, booked an appointment while waiting that way I won't run into the same problem. Left to pick up my kids up from school, when I came back, someone was about to sit down, and I kindly informed them I had an appointment. Instead of making the client sit and wait like they did me prior, they told me to wait again. Exact same situation, but now I'm the one with an appointment. I asked her what was the reason why I was told to wait, yet again, when I now had an appointment, she proceeded to say that the client was already seated. It was a blatant lie. If you can't give me a good reason why I'm being treated differently, that's discriminatory. Being here a total of like 5 times and was only happy twice with the way my eyebrows came out. Every time I come here it seems like there's different workers here and the last 2 time My eyebrows have big nicks in them, both of them ,The first time it was only one Nick but the second time my eyebrows don't even have a straight lines on the bottom, every time I look in the mirror,all I think about is the lady jacked me up. Been coming here for several years now but there's this girl (don't know her name but I know the face) in this location that I will never have her touch my eyebrows again. The first time she did my brows clean up and shape, it looked off but I brushed it off bc it will grow back and maybe it's bc how my eyebrow is. Right when you walk in, the environment is kind of awkward and extremely quiet. They kind of greet you quietly. But obviously, I'm not here for the environment.. I'm here for my brow so let's get straight to it. I used to go to a threading place in the Walmart across the street. They knew exactly how to do my brows and were very precise with it. I was devastated when it closed down and frantically searched for a new eyebrow threading place. I happened to come across this place and decided to try it out. The shape of my brow is how I typically like it (but it is a bit uneven on the top, nothing too noticeable though). They didn't go through the extra step of plucking the stray hairs that the thread wasn't able to get (my old threading place used to do that for me). They also didn't trim the front of my eyebrows. Luckily, yelp provides a 30% off your first eyebrow threading there so the total came out to $8.50. Plus, they also give you a punchcard Would I go here again? I'm not too sure. The results weren't anything bad or something I can't fix myself. But if I'm going to pay someone to do my eyebrows I'd want it to be perfect. read more

I told the lady who did my eyebrows that the lower inside part of my brows had just grown back and I want to keep it. She listened and just did minor reshaping of my brows. Shila's Eyebrows is my go-to for threading!!!! I stopped getting my brows waxed YEARS ago. Yes, threading is admittedly painful your first time around, but the results are longer-lasting than wax. If it is your first time, let them know and they will assist you with the process. There are moments you have to place your fingers above and below your brows to stretch out your skin so they can thread the most hair out. (I probably worded that weird, but it's a lot more simple than it sounds). The work here is consistent. I don't even have a go-to person because anyone who has threaded my brows- and I'm sure I've had every threading artist here- does a remarkable job. They are all experts that adhere to your natural shape, and always clean mine up so nicely without direction. I've always done walk-in's as appointments are not required. Shila offers excellent service and getting my eyebrows threaded here is about as painless as threading can be. I'm not saying it's pain-free, but I've been to other places where the staff doesn't really seem to care if you're uncomfortable or not. I've had my brows threaded here by different people and I've never had a bad experience yet. I haven't made an appointment even though they take them. I just show up and wait about ten minutes if there are other customers ahead of me.
