Maybe we went on a bad night . Our party of 4 had two chicken dishes and some sushi . First was Mongolian Chicken - it was overcooked , overloaded with onions , and did not look like any Mongolian style dish that we had ever seen. The second Chicken dishes was actually a Chicken/Steak veggie Teriyaki . The Chicken and Steak were both overcooked . The ac wasn't working very well. The chairs were very difficult for the two elderly people in our party to pull up and push back to/from the table . The Sushi wasn't the worst in town . It just didn't stand out and would not warrant much of travel time at all. The staff was nice however just not enough to return . read more

We recently moved, and needed to find a local Chinese restaurant. We are so glad we found Shiki Sakura! The food is full of flavor and never disappoints. This time we had the general tsos shrimp and scallops and a sunshine roll. The shrimp and scallops comes with broccoli, and has the perfect amount of batter. So.... I've lived here for 3 years and tried this place several times. Their sashimi has been mediocre at best and the Chinese is overly sweet and nowhere near authentic. The only thing I've had was good is the seaweed salad and I'm guessing only because they buy it pre made and ready to serve. My Laurel deserves better. read more

This is the best Chinese cuisine restaurant I've been to. They even have the hello Kitty themed Japanese sodas in the fridge there. If you want convenient takeout this is the best place. The restaurant is owned by a couple and the wife is so nice she memorized my order. Every time I went there I got vegetables because I was vegan but recently I'm no longer vegan and when I ordered chicken she brought me vegetables and I was like OK I can't complain because that's amazing that she remembered that. My husband and I decided to venture out and try a new place. We ordered the general tso shrimp and the Mongolian beef. The shrimp and scallops were a sloppy, syrupy mess that tasted like seafood donuts and that's not a taste you want to have. We had to eat around the Mongolian sauce bc they dish was also swimming in syrup. Then we decided to order something else after explaining we just couldn't stomach it. A simple chicken and veggie dish was brought to us, and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. We generally go to the red Pearl and love Chinese. The server accused us of not really liking Chinese cuisine! They brought the bill and all of our dishes were on there. After further complaining, we decide to just pay and she decided to take off $10.00 off. What a joke! So, if you even remotely like Chinese food, your health, and your money.... You have been warned. Oh, Shiki Sakura. I wanted so badly to like you. You're just a short walk from my office, but I hope to never make that walk again... I'll admit that I hadn't eaten here in 2+ years. I had experienced too many long waits to pick up my to-go orders and witnessed too many people pull hair out of their food (including myself), but I thought that things might have changed over these past two years. Sadly, I was wrong. I opted to get a fried sushi roll today, and it may be one of the worst I have ever tasted. The roll was meant to be fried, but there is barely any batter on the outside of the roll...leaving me with a crunchy, oily mess. I just had a co-worker walk to my desk and ask if I was eating french fries, because the oil smell is that strong. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but if you can't get the sushi right, I won't be coming back. I'd rather drive elsewhere for lunch if it meant I could have something that didn't taste like an oil slick. read more

Terrible. We were sitting there enjoying our food and the two women started making faces while staring at our table. We brushed it off and kept eating. We began to hear one of the workers on the phone with a party making their reservation. Another party walked in and they gave the table to them instead of the other party. The other party walked in clueless as their table was given up and was unaware of the situation. One of the workers began to rush us and clean up our food as we were eating. I saw the lady tell the other "make them hurry." They decided to then not only ask us if we were done, but taking plates as we were still eating off of them. we put our food in to go boxes and left.
