to David, Daisy I called the DMV again today and YES my license has been released. I really appreciate the two of you for making this happen. You have no idea how much of a looming cloud this has been for me for several years. Your attention to detail and follow through are second to none, I will definitely be referring you to anyone I know that is seeking legal representation or advice, your approach is very straight forward, non-judgmental, and very personable . Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Jason read more

I reached out to David Shevitz Aug 2022 needing legal advice on how to deal with my current lender. He responded to me within 24hrs and at NO COST gave me legal advice and several names/numbers of mortgage brokers of people who could help me refinance my loan. I was able to successfully refinance with a broker that he recommended and I was able to save my house and prevent foreclosure by getting into a new loan. Most lawyers I contacted wanted a fee just to consult about my issue OR never responded back, but David was different and I'm so grateful for his advice & contacts he provided for me when I needed someone the most. Thank you David for helping people at the time they need it MOST. I highly recommend David without hesitation. read more

Short version: I had an excellent experience with David Shevitz's help with my Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing. My bankruptcy is now discharged, thanks to his help, and my life is better in every possible way. I highly recommend David as an outstanding bankruptcy attorney who has deep experience in the field. His prices were an unbelievable value - they were far lower than other bankruptcy attorneys I consulted with. Long version: I have nothing but positive things to write about my experiences with Shevitz Law Firm. I had considered filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy pro se (by myself), but a lawyer friend convinced me that it was worth hiring a good bankruptcy lawyer to make sure I didn't screw anything up. I'm so glad I listened to that advice. After consulting with a few local bankruptcy attorneys, I chose David for his competitive price and his deep expertise in bankruptcy law. I prepared a packet with Upsolve so I was familiar with the documents and schedules, but David added tons of insight I never would've figured out on my own. There are little tricks of the trade, like stacking exemptions that a good bankruptcy attorney knows like the back of their hand, but that us regular people wouldn't dream of doing. David did a great job of guiding me through the process. One heads up for people like me who've never worked with a lawyer before- smaller law firms may get back to you slower than big law firm. This wasn't a problem for me, because important issues were always handled very quickly. But minor issues could take a few days to get a reply. To me, this was a very fair trade-off. Bigger law firms charge almost double what David charged me, because they have a lot of staffing overhead to return calls instantly. Smaller offices have lower prices and fewer staff, so non-urgent calls sometimes wait. Just be patient and trust the process. I thought David was great to work with. He was always patient with my "little bit of learning is a dangerous thing" level of questions. He filed all forms extremely quickly, and he was good about communicating the post-filing process. In my case, everything was super smooth, and within about 120 days from the time i first consulted with him, my bankruptcy was discharged. i've already started repairing my credit, and am so grateful for the fresh start that david's given. I don't live my life around minimum credit card payments any more, and I feel a lot more optimistic about the future. i can't thank him enough for all his help. read more

David Shevitz is the best in the business. He is an outstanding attorney and incredibly skilled in his field. He took my very complex legal situation and handled it with grace and excellence. This was a devastating and emotionally draining time in my life and David (and Daisy) handled each of my calls and questions with compassion and patience. This is a rarity in the world of law. David's command of his craft brought me and my family comfort during an extremely stressful time. I would not have made it across the finish line without David's guidance and expert knowledge. He walked me through every step of my case with clarity and kindness. I highly recommend David Shevitz and his firm. Laura S. read more

I highly recommend Shevitz Law firm. I just received my discharge paper work after five years of going through bankruptcy. The whole idea of bankruptcy was overwhelming for me but David and Daisy helped get me through it every step of the way- from filing paperwork, motions, etc. David was patient and understanding and I never felt judged by what I needed to do. I wouldn't have been able to get through it without them. I'm still overwhelmed with joy and so grateful. I feel like I can finally move forward with my life and I have them to thank. read more

Having to file for bankruptcy is a difficult decision to make. David first helped by asking all the necessary questions to make sure I was a good candidate for Chapter 7 filing, and was responsive and very professional throughout the case proceedings. He was very thorough and made sure all the details of the case were clear and well presented especially since my case happened to be quite complex. I would feel 100% confident recommending him and his team to anyone considering the need to file for bankruptcy. read more

Recent review as of 7/26/2021: I do not recommend David Shevitz of Shevit Law Firm, for an attorney. My experience with him was terrible. He is disorganized, not dependable, very unprofessional and liar. I pointed these faults out to David Shevitz after the way he treated me. Shevitz sounded very nice and professional over the phone during our initial conversation; however, he turned out to be a very, very, big disappointment. I had to find another attorney. I give Shevitz a zero rating; however, I'm force to give him at least one in order to exit this post. read more

Being hit with an eviction lawsuit after moving out of the state of California, I was tasked with finding an attorney that would be skilled and competent enough to help me navigate the perils of landlord tenant law. Some attorneys I had spoken with were more on the side of the landlord, other attorneys were just out to make a quick buck not truly caring about my case. However, from our first conversation, David put my mind at ease letting me know he would work tirelessly to get me through the situation as victoriously as possible. It took several months, but he did just that. With great attention to detail, he negotiated an iron clad settlement with the landlord that kept me out of eviction and extreme financial obligation. I truly felt David was concerned about my needs and was very responsive in answering any questions I had regarding the case even after the case was closed. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am to him for his expertise and professionalism. read more
