I called ahead to ask if I could order my curry mild, and he said oh, they're not spicy. The guy on the phone was very nice. I ordered the spinach chicken. Chicken in a spinach, curry sauce, with rice, red onion and cilantro. I also ordered naan bread on the side. The food came very quickly, and it was amazing! The spinach curry chicken was very good. It was rich, but not overly so. The red onion and cilantro added to the flavor. The chicken was delicious, and very tender. . I loved the spinach curry sauce, it had just enough of a "zip" that I noticed that it was there. Hardly spicy at all. The rice was wonderfully fluffy. The naan bread was very tender, and also had a little bit of a richness to it. The meal also came with three sauces. A yogurt sauce, a green sauce, and a tamarind sauce. The yogurt sauce, I put into the curry bowl, which just added to the flavor, the green sauce was a bit too spicy for me, so I left that one to the side, , and the tamarind sauce I used as a dip for the naan. I really loved the tamarind sauce. It was sweet, and just a little bit tangy. . Just right. Both sauces were extremely good. It was a very generous portion, enough that I had plenty left over for a very nice breakfast. It reheated very well in the microwave in the morning. The price was very reasonable, especially with the fact that I got two meals out of it. I will remember this place. Thank you.

Both curries were incredibly flavorful and packed with chunks of tender meat. The chicken chili was slightly sweet (and not spicy at all, despite the name) and contrasted nicely with the lamb. We were offered samples of the various chicken curries as we tried to decide which one to get.

Given my party size of 2, it wasn't realistic to try multiple. We ultimately elected to go for the cranapple. This pie was delicious! I am not an apple pie fan, but my partner is. This one won me over. The berry element really enhanced for me. I found the consistency to be very good and perhaps the highlight was the lovely streusel/crumble on top. You could also find their food at Mariposa Market in the refrigerator case near the sandwiches. The Grab and Go just recently opened next to the Shanachie Pub. I don't think a lot of people know it is there because the opening was very quiet. It is not a restaurant, but a place to pick up Hatake Farm's delicious sushi and bento box offerings. I enjoy the sushi and picking up a roll has been a weekly thing for me when I didn't feel like cooking dinner for more than a year. I had never ordered on-line however. The other day, I was really curious about the new Grab and Go and ventured in. The space is beautiful. It is neat as a pin, quiet, and serene. The refrigerator is filled with SO MANY MORE OPTIONS than either their on-line menu or the offerings at the market. The prices are extremely reasonable. These rolls are made for taste with big nicely trimmed pieces of fish. I picked the hamachi and avocado roll which was big and only $12.50. The hamachi (my favorite raw fish) was really fresh and well cut. Avocado was perfectly ripe. It was absolutely delicious and probably the best sushi roll ever. It really is best to come to the Grab and Go, rather than the market, (although we love our market). But this is better. There are also a variety of lunch/dinner boxes that are simply stunning, with meat or fish, rice, home-pickled veggies and onions and lovely sauces. They also had a Poki bowl that I HAVE to try next because I love poki and this looked like it came off a page in a magazine. I also have to say something about the rice. They say a sushi chef must spend years perfecting rice before the sushi master will allow a student to do anything else. I believe it. Rice is harder than it looks. It is important that sushi rice is not mushy and that it is the right texture and that you can perceive every grain. I rarely see that. This guy has it down. The rice is perfect. It is really good. Right now, he has rolls, boxes, and poki bowls. I would love it if he started making nigiri! You should absolutely make it a point to come here as this is outstanding sushi, by any measure.

That's my experience of Northspur. I've never stopped here with friends, but I've thought of my friends while I've visited. As in, this is a place my friends would really like. They could be faking but I don't think they are. The Willits bypass as observed by others and maybe other places by me was an unnecessary boondoggle that not only separated normal CA taxpayers from their money so as to avoid maybe five minutes extra travel time as they whisked north to ... to where would anyone need to be whisked in the north. I-5 is for whisking. 101 is for a different kind of trip. Not only that, the bypass also then has folks that don't know what's in Willits pass right on by. Their loss, though also a stake in the heart of the vitality of local business. Thanks, legislature, Caltrans and people that make money building things we don't need. This then for the people that would otherwise whisk by without stopping and are maybe hungry and turn to Yelp as the leave Ukiah to see what's ahead. Northspur is ahead, my friends. And if it's late in the day, get a room in town so you can sample every drop Northspur has to offer. The vittles aren't complicated, the menu isn't exhausting - but everything on it is good. The brewed offerings are delicious. Staff is straight out of Lake Woebegone (all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average).
