You know the one... lazy customer service, salespeople too busy for you, and products that aren't available. Boy was I wrong! The store was spotless, the customer service was exceptional, the sales girl Samantha was friendly and attentive, and even answered my questions about different products. Yes, I'm high maintenance, and can be difficult, but she just smiled, and answered everything I needed. They had everything in stock, it was fast, inexpensive, and easy. Did I mention they like dogs? Anybody who likes my dog, is my new best friend. So this place gets ALL my business. Buy paint here, and nowhere else. And p.s... Ask for Samantha, for service with a smile.

I wanted some whites but 3 different shades and texture. I looked online and did my research but ended up coming in with barely a clue on what I am actually looking for. There was only one employee working that day but he was very helpful and regretfully, I can't recall his name. Anyway, I asked him about whites and what his thoughts are about the texture for the different surface area I wanted to paint. He offered his suggestions and I went with them after a few minutes of deliberation and I'm really glad I did because I love the selection! He was super helpful and demonstrated a great deal of patience as I paced the store while trying to decide. I wasn't sure how much of each paint I needed so I asked if there is a way they can enter it into their system. He did and I was grateful as I came back the following day for more of my wall color. Purchasing was a breeze and he walked the paint out to my car after mixing and boxing them up. I had a very pleasant experience!

I've been working on a cabinet from the 40's for six months... I wanted some tinted clear varnish... just a little reddish brown tint, but still clear. As I mentioned I wanted the grain to show through... they said I should stain the wood, which I know a lot of people do, but that's not how these are made, and I'm doing a period correct resoration... so I looked at the various pigments and picked one... but these weren't pigments for clear varnish... because the pigments basically turned this clear varnish into BROWN PAINT... no grain visible... and now the cabinet I rebuilt faithfully with a veneer press that I built, and sustrate for the veneer I imported from europe... that would have been sold for around $3000 tomorrow... is not going anywhere and I'll have to either take this down to the wood again and start over with substrate and then press the veneer... yea... this was a big drag, and I can't do it again... the cab is ruined... and I was pressed for time I would have done a test... but I trusted that they had a better idea than me... I'm not saying to not patronize them, as they have a lot of stuff and it seemed like they were trying to help... they just didn't.

They said that they changed their system and the cards don't work. When I asked what I could do they offered no solution. I was astounded that they sold my wife a gift card then refused to honor the card. To me that is plain and simple theft. He frequents Reineke for other specialty items and I've heard him "complain" about them. I finally made it in myself, and man, he's right. It's like the employees are holier than thou or something odd. Anyway, I keep going back. Don't be afraid to ask for things you don't see out. The 5 galloon wallpaper paste is in the back. Same with some TWP wood stains. They have most things you'd need and most importantly carry Corona brushes and Festool products. Those are hard to find in STL. They were supposed to set up an account for me long ago. Every time I buy something, the account is not set up. I guess the scrap of paper with my name and phone number on it got lost and they cannot manage to make one again (hello 1980s). I once gave my husbands name while looking for the account and they snapped at me that he works for an "actual company". Ok, then find my damn account. All that said, I'm in here all the time. Call in your order to have it ready for pick up.

We were looking at a tree we really liked, and an employee immediately came over and gave us some great tips about that particular plant. He gave some other useful recommendations as well. We ended up getting a variety of annuals for some of our flower pots and two big bags of soil.
