He frequents Reineke for other specialty items and I've heard him "complain" about them. I finally made it in myself, and man, he's right. It's like the employees are holier than thou or something odd. Anyway, I keep going back. Don't be afraid to ask for things you don't see out. The 5 galloon wallpaper paste is in the back. Same with some TWP wood stains. They have most things you'd need and most importantly carry Corona brushes and Festool products. Those are hard to find in STL. They were supposed to set up an account for me long ago. Every time I buy something, the account is not set up. I guess the scrap of paper with my name and phone number on it got lost and they cannot manage to make one again (hello 1980s). I once gave my husbands name while looking for the account and they snapped at me that he works for an "actual company". Ok, then find my damn account. All that said, I'm in here all the time. I've heard them talk down to a kid getting paint matched for his mom, make fun of their sister for using Valspar, and look annoyed for putting down the newspaper to see what I needed. This is the place to get Benjamin Moore and all the high end specialty finishes like metallic paint (Modern Masters) and chalk paint. They also gave wall covering, but not a huge selection. That said, don't be prepared for excellent customer service and help. The decorating center on the other side may be a bit better.

When I went home, lucky for me I found a almost empty container of the paint we used last time we painted. Sometimes it pays off to be a hoarder/pack rat. Any way, back to the paint store when I was ready to paint with can in tow. The young lady waiting on me, asked some basic questions to make sure I was purchasing the right type of paint for my job and then looked up the "recipe" in the computer and got things mixing up for me. I informed her of the other items my painter wanted and she took me over to that area in the retail shop. She then assisted me and made recommendations on which one to buy. Of course she showed me a higher price point, but when I told her it was going to be used once and tossed, she showed me another one and said it would do the job fine. The paint was a perfect match and my painter ended up using the brush for the entire job instead of the roller. He liked it that much. Ben, Tony, Casper, and others are able to answer any question, on the phone and in person. The Benjamin Moore paints are great quality. In each room, we painted the ceiling, walls, and trim + baseboards. We didn't think the original ceilings were dark nor "dingy," but after seeing the new Benjamin Moore paint, we realized that they were dark and dingy... the Benjamin Moore ceiling paint is nice and bright and makes the room look SO MUCH BETTER! We also painted the walls and baseboards and trim. The baseboard and trim paint is amazing... it's "self-smoothing," which means that while you may see some light brush strokes on the surface shortly after you apply the paint, once you wake in the morning, the surfaces will be so nice and smooth, AND BRIGHT! ...just like the ceilings. When all surfaces are newly painted, you'll feel like you have a whole new house. Flanagan's has all the paint and painting supplies you need. Beyond paint, we also purchased... - an extension pole, which worked incredibly well... I didn't think it would save time compared to standing on the ladder, but I was MUCH quicker with the pole - so nice! - uncounted rollers - new roller so we could roll simultaneously - that little yellow thing to put on the top of the can so you don' have so much wasted paint when you pour from the can into the roller pan - inexpensive and worth every penny and then some - Krud Cutter - AMAZING for removing paint from the hard wood floors and for getting any grit and grime off any surfaces - stove, cabinets, countertops, and also the blinds THANK YOU, Flanagan's, for helping us make our house look so wonderfully nice! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dec., 2020 Review - - - Our daughter's wanted to paint her bedroom for a while and we were able to make the time to finally paint a couple weekends ago. We were looking at a tree we really liked, and an employee immediately came over and gave us some great tips about that particular plant. He gave some other useful recommendations as well. We ended up getting a variety of annuals for some of our flower pots and two big bags of soil.
