It also comes with a lifetime limited warranty. The coverage per gallon averages about 350 to 400 square feet. Also, if painting the bare wood on the outside of a house, I use oil base primer for a base coat. Then, top coat after it dries (cured) with Sherwin Williams latex paint. I have had no problems with their paints or products. They carry Purdy brushes too. Their customer service is top notch as they are very knowledgeable. Just ask Sherwin Williams for advice. Let's face it--the local big box stores are convenient, but the person at the paint counter in those places probably works in multiple departments and just doesn't have the experience to give you great advice. If you want to get the most out of the time and money you invest into painting your home, take the extra ten minutes to visit Ferrell-Calhoun. He knew what the products could do inside out and even showed us a pictures of a job he did using an implement that he recommended. ( it cost us $1.99) we saw another friendly and approachable person working there. And our cashier was the tops. They truly appreciated our business. Oh, one item we were looking for and found I seriously doubt I'd ever find in the acres you need to walk around in the big box places. We went to Peter's, the Design Center, because we wanted one company that we could rely on for ensuring all of these jobs were done well, on time, and at a reasonable price. John, at Peters the Design Center ensured us that he could give us that peace of mind. John came out to do all the house measurements in anticipation of several projects coming in the near future. We took John's top recommended painter and purchased all of our paint at Peter's the Design Center, so they profited on this recommendation. The gentlemen that their shop guaranteed ended up being an alcoholic that couldn't finish a single day. I paid $1500 in labor and $500 in paint to "almost" get my living room painted. He came close to finishing the living room, but we had to call the police to have him removed because he was drunk and belligerent after we let him go for being drunk on the job. Anyway, Peter's the Design Center Manager, David was regretful, but he didn't feel that his company was in any way to blame. I do. Also, they've done nothing to offer to make reparations and at this point, it's too late. You just lost out on our business and I hope you lose more. What makes this so bad is that David, the manager, admitted that they had jusy had another complaint about this guy, and still they recommended him. Shame on you Peters, the Design Center.
