The box was closed with two strips of tape and they refused to open it up for me because they said it was their policy that if the box was open, I would have to buy it and could not return it. Neither of them could find the measurements on the box or anywhere else. I asked whether since they worked in a hardware store, they might be able to figure out how to put two more strips of tape back on the box if I ended up not purchasing the item. I immediately apologized, but he couldn't let it go and focused entirely on that instead of helping with the quote or providing good service. He asked someone else to print it out rather than handle it himself. This level of unprofessionalism from someone in a management role is unacceptable, especially in a retail environment where customers are simply trying to buy paint and supplies. The focus should be on the customer and the store, not holding a grudge over a single question.
