I always hit them up for the cheap stuff you burn through, like zip ties, work gloves, and those little hardware organizers. But for my real tools, I've been pleasantly surprised. Their ICON and Doyle stuff is fantastic quality for way less than what the major brands charge. My Hercules power tools have been totally solid for every project I've thrown at them, too. The main thing is figuring out when to spend a little more on their premium lines, like Hercules or ICON, and when you can get away with the budget Pittsburgh items. If you remember to pull up a coupon or two, which is super easy, the savings are incredible. It's my absolute go-to whenever I need affordable gear.

Bought it, didn't work as described, returned it WITH receipt and was charged a $40 restocking fee. This was NOT mentioned when I purchased it from the store nor was there a sign on/near the item. If there is a restocking fee this NEEDS to be mentioned BEFORE I purchased. I generally don't return items but this was a pricier item and it didn't work. After this I feel like this store is not honest and I will not be shopping here again. I tried talking to customer service who claimed this was on the receipt and on their website - which is great except I shopped IN STORE and it's not shown on my receipt until AFTER purchase - as in I had no way of knowing about this until AFTER the purchase. Never trusting this company after this scam.

Our new flooring installation by Home Depot was an absolute nightmare from the word "go". After…read morechoosing new porcelain flooring from Home Depot we scheduled an in-home measurement. The measurement got done and we received our quote for project completion. We reached out to pay for the services. Home Depot wanted to charge us $100 for delivery of 3 packages of tiles, a bag of mortar and a bag of grout. We choose to drive the 3 miles to the store and picked up the materials ourselves. It then took us 3 phone calls, 2 visits to the store and 19 days to obtain a date (plus a 5 day delay before they could come out). We then were contacted that the wrong mortar was pulled for our order. The day of installation provided us 5 men in flip flops none of which spoke English. Communication was impossible. During the installation one of the gentlemen unwrapped our pipe to clean his mortar crusted tools throwing the hardened mortar into our yard. The workers left the job site without telling us if they were finished. We had to call a manager to obtain this information. No instruction for re-installing the toilet and vanity was provided. All these beautiful, iconic lamps are made in the city by Bevolo, which is the oldest and largest manufacturer of these hand-riveted copper lanterns. The company was founded in 1945 by Andrew Bevolo and is still a family-owned business. The copper is mined locally, and each lamp is expertly crafted by hand. You can watch the coppersmiths at work at their showroom located at 318 Royal Street, which is also a museum. Even though the gas lamps are their most popular sellers, they also make chandeliers & sconces. A few years ago, I ordered two of the Original French Quarter lanterns for my home in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, due to earthquakes I wasn't able to install the gas version, so I had to get electric. I was able to find light bulbs that replicate a flickering flame. The salespeople, Kayla Bossi & Brittnee Ulmer were friendly and helpful. My lanterns were carefully packed to protect against damage during shipping. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb. I broke the handle for what was at least a 20 year old Kohler faucet. Home Depot said good luck with finding the parts for something that old. Back home to regroup. I never knew (or ever gave it much thought) how many different faucets that Kohler had made over the years. After a couple of hours of research over the Internet, I had the potential model narrowed down to a small handful of candidates. And found a local Kohler Genuine Parts Dealer. Ferguson is the local warehouse showroom for a national company. Be prepared for a interesting final few minutes of your drive to the warehouse though. You head south from Airline on a dead end street heading to Earhart Expressway. In a parking lot on your left, you see a sign for Ferguson. You turn, drive past a plumbing supply store, turn right behind the store into what almost appears to be a wide alley, head to the chain link fence separating you from Earhart, and then take left at the last moment. A couple of minutes later you are in front of the store, which is facing Earhart Expressway. Parts department was very helpful. We went through his catalog and with his experience we determined what exact model I had and then found the part in the online catalog. They ordered the part for me and it was mailed to my house in less than a week.
