My family and I were patient with your company for months listening to and believing all the excuses you gave for not showing up to start on our home. It makes sense why you would not take us up on providing any sort of payment up front. It's obvious now you were never going to do the job you frequently told us you were going to do in the first place. Before you respond with another excuse, let's go through all the previous excuses for not showing up you gave me & my family: 6/3-pain from a root canal procedure 6/20-didn't have paint samples available to show us 6/24-your uncle passed away (condolences) 7/5-claim of locked in on a couple of projects which delayed the start date of our home. THIS IS WHEN I STOPPED BELIEVING ANYTHING YOU SAID, BUT I PLAYED ALONG 7/6-you claimed you would start on our home on 7/23 7/21-you changed the start date to 7/29 due to rain 7/29-you said you were coming to start power wash the exterior. You never showed up. You claim it was because of kidney stones flaring up. 7/30-you came, walked around, & left. You never let us know you came. We saw you through our ring camera. We received a text later this day explaining you would need to scrape the exterior starting on 8/1. 8/1-you never showed up. 8/4- we spoke on the phone and you told me you were definitely going to start on our home on 8/12. 8/12-you never showed up. Once again... 8/13-you claim you car broke down and would start on 8/19. This is when you offered to cancel the contract. I said no let's keep the contract when I knew you were trying to back out. 8/19-again, no show... 8/20-you claimed two of your guys quit on you. You stated you could start a week later& once again you offered to cancel the contract. I answered no and would wait for you to start on our home. 8/31- you said you would start this week. Take a guess......you didn't show up 9/17- I asked you are you going to blowing us off again. You said no but you can't find anyone to help you & you don't have a ladder. I haven't heard from you since. I sent a couple of texts which you never responded to. Your company popped up on my Facebook feed today showing the work you completed around the same time you were giving me all these excuses you couldn't honor our contract so I felt compelled to air my frustrations with your company.

Our goal was to expose 2 brick walls in our South Philly row home, and build out a custom mantle for a beautiful antique surround we had sourced through an architectural antiques dealer. Harlan was quick to answer my call (score number one), easy to talk to about my vision for the project, and provided visuals (score number two), and was in constant communication throughout the whole project (score number three!) It was a larger project that, given the work, was pretty disruptive to our day-to-day life (jackhammers on the walls, sheets of plastic taped up in a maze, and brick dust everywhere) but Harlan's incredible team worked quickly and punctually to get the job done in about a week's time. Every worker who came through the house was respectful and kind. Price was excellent for the services we received: the value can't be beat. Harlan came out to give us a quote and spent over an hour walking through all of the things that could be done and explaining the processes. This was very comforting, especially as a first time home buyer. We had a significant amount of work that needed to be done (painting walls/trim/doors, window trim installed, quarter round installed, dry wall installation, exposing a brick wall, exterior painting and the list goes on). Harlan was great to work with and thoroughly explained each of the items on the quote. The team was able to start very soon after receiving the quote. They were very diligent and ensured that I was kept in the loop on the progress that had been made each day. They continually provided input and suggestions on what could be done at the house. The team exposed a brick wall in one of the bedrooms and re-pointed the brick where necessary. One of my favorite things was a column that Harlan built around an exposed duct. The column is now a statement piece in our home and we are so grateful for it. Harlan & his team were able to do a lot more than just painting at my house.
